Chapter 21: What You Should Seek Is Me

After some small talk, they all got on the bus.

Lao Zhou drove, Mo Chenyuan and Su Xiaoning as well as Tang Yihan sat in the back seat.

The car was so quiet that one had to be careful even when breathing.

Su Xiao Ning quietly glanced at Fei Wujiang who was still standing at the school's back door through the rearview mirror, "Lao Zhou, is it really okay to leave him behind alone?"

Lao Zhou calmly drove the car, "Don't worry, he has his own means of transportation, madam doesn't need to worry."

  "Oh."

Su Xiao Ning nodded, glanced at Mo Chenyu who was leaning on the leather seat to her left and didn't know whether he was asleep or not, then turned her head to look at Tang Yihan who was quietly sitting to her right.

Tang Yihan made a face and winked at Su Xiaoning after rummaging through her backpack to find paper and pen.

She scribbled a bunch on paper and handed it over.

Su Xiao Ning furrowed her brow, took a look and saw the scribbled handwriting of Tang Yi Han: "Didn't you say your husband was just blind? Can't he speak either?"

Su Xiao Ning's body trembled slightly, and subconsciously, she turned her head to glance at Mo Chenyu beside her.

The man was still leaning against the back of his chair in the same posture, motionless.

She took a deep breath and picked up her pen to reply to Tang Yihan, "Of course he's not mute, he can speak!"

  "Why doesn't he speak?"

Su Xiaoning frowned, looking at the words written by Tang Yihan on the paper.

  Yes, why doesn't he speak?

From pushing him to the back door of the school without saying a word before, he seems to have really not said a single word until now.

She bit her lip and thought for a moment before sighing, "He's probably angry."

  "What's wrong with him?"

"Maybe he thought he married a burden."

Perhaps when Mo Chenyu married her, he had no idea that her family would be so complicated.

Not only was there an aunt who wanted her uncle to take money outside her grandmother's sickroom, but also a cousin like Baiqu who was so shameless.

  "Redundant?"

Tang Yihan was quite puzzled by her use of this word.

"Rich people don't like troublesome people, right? My relatives are really troublesome."

Su Xiaoning let out a long sigh and suddenly felt that the pen in her hand was somewhat heavy.

After a while, she finally wrote down her worst thoughts on that piece of paper: "He may be planning to divorce me now."

  A woman's imagination is boundless.

The man with a black veil over his eyes leaned back in his chair, almost imperceptibly shaking his head, and a hint of a smile played on his lips.

The car soon arrived at the intersection near Tang Yihan's home.

"Just go ahead and I'll follow."

Tang Yihan spoke up and greeted Old Zhou, then gently patted Su Xiaoning's shoulder. "Don't think about it so badly."

After she left, Su Xiaoning leaned alone on the back of the chair and stared blankly at the scenery outside the car window.

Don't think of it as so bad.

But now it's not that she thinks too much, but things are just so bad.

"Has your older brother always been like this to you?"

As she was lost in thought, a low and gentle male voice sounded softly beside her ear.

Su Xiao Ning was taken aback, turned her head back, and the man with a black cloth covering his eyes still maintained his previous posture leaning against the wall, with a hint of playfulness on his lips.

She puckered her lips and said, "I'm thinking about what to eat for dinner."

The man's lips curled up with a faintly cold smile, "Have you thought it through?"

She was distracted and just wanted to get rid of him, "Not... yet."

"Let's go eat outside, I just happen to want a change of taste today."

  "Go to Tian Ding Garden."

Old Zhou hesitated for a moment, "Sir, are you sure?"

  "Alright, let's get ready."

  "Yes."

The conversation between these two people left Su Xiaoling bewildered.

It was just going out for a meal, why make it so complicated?

  Still want to be unprepared?

Half an hour later, when Su Xiaoning followed Mo Chenyu to the so-called Tian Ding Garden, she finally knew why Old Zhou had reacted that way earlier.

The so-called Sky Garden is not a restaurant's name, but the rooftop of a hotel.

The hotel has over thirty floors, neither high nor short, just right for enjoying the evening view of the city.

The safety measures on the rooftop are well done and the decorations are very luxurious, but there is only one table.

Lao Zhou pushed Mu Chenyu to sit down in front of the desk, and Su Xiaoning also sat down in the position opposite him.

The waiter came over and said, "Mr. Mo, is it still the usual dishes?"

  "Old rules."

The waiter nodded and left immediately.

Before long, all sorts of delicious dishes that Su Xiao Ning had never seen before were placed on the table.

Seeing the curiosity in her eyes as she looked at these foods, Mo Qingyu faintly opened his mouth, "Eat."

Su Xiaoning nodded and picked up her chopsticks to start eating.

Because of what happened at grandma's place in the morning, she didn't eat lunch either. Now, after a whole day, her stomach is growling with hunger.

When she was almost done eating, she suddenly remembered something and looked up at Mo Chenyuan, "What about you?"

He didn't say we should make some preparations?

Why is there no shadow of silence on this side?

Old Zhou, who was standing by, took a glance at the time and said, "He's late, probably arriving about a minute later."

Su Xiao Ning hummed in response and didn't think much of it, lowering her head to continue eating.

She thought of a minute later, Not Speaking would come over here, but didn't think that Not Speaking wasn't coming alone.

A youth in all white sportswear walked slowly up the stairs.

He dragged a long iron chain in his hand.

On the other end of the iron chain was a man's hand, tightly locked in place.

The man behind him was covered in blood, his legs unable to stand, weakly slumped on the ground, his pants were worn out and tattered, even revealing the bloody flesh inside.

With a "clatter", Su Xiaoning's chopsticks fell directly to the ground.

She was shocked by what she saw before her and couldn't say a word.

The man sitting in front of her elegantly picked up another pair of chopsticks and stuffed them into her hands, "Had enough to eat?"

Su Xiao Ning's eyes were fixed on the man behind him, unable to move away.

  "Traffic jam."

He didn't say a word and pulled the iron chain hard, the man behind him fell down with a thud.

Su Xiao Ning finally got a clear look at the face of the man being dragged away by Wu Yan.

She looked like she had been hit hard with a heavy hammer.

  "White ditch!"

  "Little sour plum sister."

Bai Qu lifted his head, the wound on his forehead still bleeding onto his face. He looked at Su Xiao Ning, his voice hoarse, "I know I was wrong, from now on, I absolutely won't bother you."

  "Spare me..."

Su Xiaoning gritted her teeth tightly.

For a moment, she surprisingly didn't know whether she should plead for Bai Qu's sake or not.

On the one hand, she deeply resented Baiqu, and all the things Baiqu had done to her over the years made her extremely disgusted.

On the other hand, she is Grandma's own granddaughter and Uncle's own niece, can't she really be saved?

"What you should be looking for is not her."

The man sitting in a wheelchair stretched out his long fingers to hold the chopsticks and ate the celery lily in front of him slowly, "It was I who sent someone to teach you a lesson, and it was also I who had you brought here."

"She can't influence my thoughts, let alone decide your life and death."
