  Wow. We’re here finally. Welcome to the end of Candlelit Lives.

  I started posting Volume 1 on March 25, 2021, and had started writing sometime earlier that year. Volume 2 was then post at the end of 2021, with the afterword to volume 2 posted 4 Dec 2021.

  I wrote most of this volume in a big spurt from late January to early March this year, then some intermittent work in late summer and fall.

  Frankly, the volume could do with a good bit of editing, reworking and expansion (or, as some of the comments pointedly discussed, a great bit). Unfortunately, due to personal issues, I don’t see myself being able to dedicate any time to this project for at least a few years. So this first, very rough draft is going to have to do for now.

  I did another read-through of all three volumes as the third volume was getting ready to be pushed to Royal Road. I thought that some of you might be interested in hearing from the author some freeform commentary about each life, like when you watch a director’s commentary of a movie. In light of the personal issues I’m dealing with, we’ll categorize this firmly into the lofty ambitions category.

  After this afterword, I’ll do a Q&A. Stay tuned.
