Chapter 35 Camping (Part One)

Three days later, the seven lords - Cheeky Lee, Baron Hab Dabbs, Eddie Derrick, Baron Colborne Tavener, Sir Ellie Lickorish, Bt., Sir Evry Bidell, Bt. and Sir Hannett Edin Lickorish, Bt. arrived on the estate

This is the world, all existing nobles.

Chequers Leigh has six hundred men, Habakkuk Dabbs has four hundred men, Eddy Derrick has three hundred men, Columbourn Taverner has three hundred men, Sir Ellie Lickorish now has one hundred and fifty men, Sir Evry Bidell has two hundred men, while Hannett Edin Lickorish has fifty men.

A total of two thousand troops.

Of course, those who are qualified to participate in the banquet also have about thirty formal knights.

Ellie personally supervised the kitchen, in which a dozen or so temporarily assembled cooks were busy at work. The air was filled with an enticing aroma as sheep and pigs were slaughtered and fine wines were brought out from the cellar.

"Miss, the food and wine are all ready, just waiting for tonight's grand banquet to begin," said the butler. This was the first time in decades: "Moreover, the nobles will also obtain prey when they go hunting now."

Ellie's gaze swept over the roasted lamb, fish, wild boar, quail, ham, and a large number of pastries, nodding her head. These foods had already consumed one-third of her food savings, not including flour and wheat, just relatively luxurious food.

"Didn't Hanniet go hunting with you?"

"No, he is still in the barracks." The housekeeper replied.

Ellen paused for a moment, then said: "Hannett, that's also a way. How many people have come to the camp?"

"Up until today at noon, within three days, three hundred soldiers have arrived, all of them robust and seasoned outdoorsmen, with probably three times as many family members nearby. Who would have thought there were so many vagrants outside? If Sir Hannit can subdue them, his military strength will immediately be able to rival that of any noble, and if combined with our own forces, the total number will reach five hundred!"

Both of them came out of the kitchen, and in the back, there was a large row of wooden tables. These were the processing platforms for waiting for the noble's prey. According to the noble rules, the nobles had the right to hunt in other people's forests, as long as they contributed the prey to share, but the lord also had to cook it.

"What does Sir Avery Bidel think?"

"He was originally our vassal, although this vassal relationship no longer exists now, but he has indicated that he will support us at this meeting!"

"Is that all seven hundred troops?"

"Yes, seven hundred, and if you count Isidore Hagetti the wizard and Hannet's influence, the balance will tip even further. You should know that many of the lieges have high hopes for Sir Hannet, but are gradually losing faith; if Sir Hannet wins a second time, everyone will rally to his banner."

Elli stopped in her tracks, nodding clearly. In fact, even without the title of viscount, Hanniet could still concentrate these troops, forming an independent army outside of the nobility, which would be even more unfavorable.

Looking around, some prey has already been brought to the platform. The servants are skinning them, removing their internal organs and washing the meat. There are wild rabbits, wild chickens, and even a few wild goats. It can be seen that the nobles' hunting is very careful and the harvest is not bad.

Spring has arrived, Ellie thought, and this kind of party was something she had been looking forward to for a long time.

In the manor, although not many flowers and grasses were planted, they still bloomed. The rare musicians played music that spread through the air, which was filled with fragrance, both from the flowers and the scent of the young lady and madam.

A little further away, several wisteria trees are entwined on a wooden trellis, their hanging flowers forming a thick curtain. Below it is a platform with silver trays on which are placed dim sum and fragrant grape wine.

On the other side, with five madams as the core, surrounded by some noble ladies and madams, they were all dressed in low-cut evening gowns, covering their small mouths with delicate fans, and chatting and laughing.

A little girl was eating hard and made everyone laugh.

The sunshine spills onto the ground, radiant and resplendent.

"George, would you go and fetch Sir Hannett and Isador Haggarty the wizard? It's about time he made an appearance."

"Hu!" The war horse galloped, Fang Xin turned back and shot an arrow, instantly, the entire camp cheered up.

"General, it's a bullseye!" A soldier stepped forward to report, and Fang Xing's eyes were filled with admiration.

In these three days, Fang Xin did not leave the camp. On the one hand, he organized the warriors who had joined him, and on the other hand, they competed in sword fighting, weightlifting, martial arts, archery, and so on, constantly competing with each other.

In this process, Fang Xin established his authority and gained the respect of the tough guys - although it is not known whether this Mr. Hannit is a savior or not, but with such invincible power to fight against all odds, as well as living and eating together with everyone, he has already made these people willing to join his team.

  "Hanmo, you lost!"

"Yes, sir, I lost, please give orders from now on." a man said in a rough voice.

Fang Xin smiled, these teams composed of refugees, when they first came, looked very disheveled, wrapped in animal hides or wearing tattered clothes, dirty all over, with mud, filth and bloodstains everywhere - from wild beasts and others, as well as their own, even those of their parents, because these were inherited.

They live in the wilderness, fighting against beasts, and sometimes encountering the patrols of dark soldiers. They obtain some prey, come to town to trade, and many times buy flour and salt. Sometimes, they get drunk in a tavern, crying bitterly.

Of course, more often than not, due to the lack of prey, they suffered from hunger and cold - hunger made them pale, cold made them shiver, but their spirit was strong, formidable, wild.

Fang Xing had come to realize over the past few days that these people, who lived in the wilderness, naturally had their own set of skills. They were skilled at fighting and hunting, and many of them were quite proficient with a bow and arrow, able to hit their mark with one shot. After all, they couldn't afford to waste arrows in the wilderness, nor did they have much room for error.

In the previous match, Fang Xin had repeatedly cheated, using the power of Yu Ruyi, and only then was he able to suppress those arrogant guys in all aspects and gain their respect.

For them, the whole world was reduced to themselves and their families; in fact, there were no longer any great causes that could command them - no lord could recruit them except for defeating the dark count who had destroyed their homes.

It's just like this that the title of savior is so precious and hot, if you can't prove yourself to be worthy of it, Fang Xin believes that he will be torn into pieces by these people.

However, if it's just this level, then it's nothing more than a trivial matter. Fang Xing's eyes flashed with a cold light.

If they win once or twice more, they can promise to give them the status of free people, let them live in their own territory, move their families here, and then have the power of life and death in their hands.

As long as there is demand and fear, it can never be free from control, the only question is how much does it cost!

At this time, the fragrance of cooking filled the camp, in front of simple tents, pots were boiling with chunks of meat, and bread was being handed out piece by piece, a precious food.

After just three days of rest and recuperation, these warriors had already begun to recover physically.
