Chapter 69: What kind of illness is this?

Zhao Bi heard that there was a commotion and quickly got up to take a look, leaning against the window and laughing: "Hey, isn't it really Old Man Cheng? Look at him crying with a nose full of snot, it's really interesting, great to watch!"

"Otherwise, let's go down and take a look, and ask Old Man Cheng how he's doing, show some concern for the old fellow?"

"Come on, don't joke around! You've forgotten that we sneaked out of class to come here and drink. What are you going to say when we run into Old Man Cheng later? This is just asking for punishment!"

Lu Xiuzhi nodded and said: "That makes sense. Let's just celebrate his old age here, as well as his little grandson!"

Wang Ping'an, who was farthest from the window, also stood up and walked to the window, looking down. He saw a large crowd of people gathered at the other end of the street, with Cheng Zhou standing in the middle, holding a small child in his arms, wailing loudly. Several people were standing beside him, trying to comfort him, but they were too far away, and Wang Ping'an couldn't hear what they were saying.

"What's wrong with that child? Did he fall down and hit his head or was he run over by a horse carriage while playing in the street?"

Zhao Bide said, "I'm not sure, Old Man Cheng doesn't live here, does he? His little grandson is so precious to him, he's afraid of scaring him if he holds him in his hands, and afraid of melting him if he holds him in his mouth. How could he possibly run around playing here?"

Lu Xiuzhi said, "What's it to us? He's not related to us anyway. It's just right that he's having a hard time now, we can watch the excitement and eat while watching, it's really refreshing!"

Wang Ping'an shook his head and said, "It's just a small misunderstanding. How can we watch someone cry... it's not good!" He originally wanted to say that gloating was not right, but he didn't have the nerve to say it out loud. He called over Ke Lianwu and ordered her to go downstairs to see what had happened.

Kelianyu went downstairs, she was a Hu person and looked beautiful, it was both surprising and pleasing to the eye, going out to do things was naturally convenient. After crossing the street, squeezing into the crowd, inquiring around, after not too long, she returned upstairs and entered the elegant room.

"Master, the one who cried loudly is really Mr. Cheng! I asked the people inside and they said that his little grandson had a sudden illness, his head swelled up so big it was frightening, the doctor said he couldn't be cured and told him to prepare for the worst, just as he was carrying him home, halfway through, he couldn't walk anymore, an old man sending off a young one!"

Wang Ping'an was taken aback and asked, "A sudden illness? His head has swollen up? I'd better go down and take a look!"

Zhao Bi grabbed him and said: "You are really a good-for-nothing, have you forgotten how Old Man Cheng bullied you? What's the point of helping such a person!"

Wang Ping An said with a calm tone: "Brother Zhao, what kind of joke are you playing? It's just a misunderstanding, not a life-or-death feud. How can we abandon each other in times of need? If you really think that way, then let's not be friends anymore!" With a flick of his sleeve, he strode out of the room and went downstairs.

Zhao Bi hastily said: "Don't be angry, Wang Xian Di, I was just casually speaking, I was wrong, can't I admit my mistake?" He also followed down the stairs.

Lu Xiuzhi burst out laughing and said to Ke Lianwu and Ding Danruo outside the door, "What are you still dawdling for? Come on, let's go take a look!"

Wang Ping'an hadn't even left the wine shop when the fat shopkeeper came over and said, "Ping'an, the little divine doctor, something's happened outside. Are you going to go see a patient? I was afraid of disturbing you, so I didn't dare come up and ask you earlier!"

Wang Ping'an nodded and walked out of the wine house. Although the fat shopkeeper looked clumsy, he ran quickly and was actually ahead of Wang Ping'an. He shouted: "Everyone make way! The great doctor Ping'an is here! Hey, I said you all have nothing better to do, why are you surrounding him layer by layer? Shouldn't you be doing what you should be doing? Quickly give way to Doctor Ping'an!" His voice was loud and clear, with a tone that seemed to represent the authority of Doctor Ping'an.

Many people in the crowd had heard of Ping An Xiao Sheng Yi's name and hurriedly made way, giving Wang Ping An a path. Suddenly, someone in the crowd shouted: "Ah, it's Ping An Xiao Sheng Yi, now that you're here, this child will be saved!"

Wang Ping'an raised his eyes and took a look, this person was familiar, it turned out to be that Qu Xiu, the doctor who had disguised himself as a medicine boy at Fang Ma Zhuang. He said: "You're also here?"

Hou Xiu stepped forward and said: "The Chang family invited me to come and see the child's illness, but I couldn't see anything either. I'm afraid this child is doomed!"

"Is this a Chang child?" Wang Ping thought to himself, "Could it be that this child is not the grandson of Cheng Zhou Tong, but rather a child of the Chang family?" He walked forward and asked Cheng Zhou Tong, who was wailing in the circle, "Mr. Cheng, what's wrong with this child?"

Cheng Zhou and Lao Lu were both crying profusely, to the point of dizziness. Before he could react, who would have thought that this big scoundrel in front of him was actually the famous "Peaceful Little Divine Doctor" from Xuzhou? In his heart, Wang Ping'an was equal to Wang Hun Dun (a foolish person), but not equal to the Peaceful Little Divine Doctor!

He hadn't even responded yet, when someone beside him suddenly spoke up: "Are you the Peaceful Little Divine Doctor? I've heard of you before, and didn't expect to run into you here - what a wonderful coincidence! Please, Little Divine Doctor, quickly take a look at this child!" The person speaking was about the same age as Cheng Zhou, with hair that had turned white, but he wore a brand new pale blue official robe - surprisingly, he was an official!

Wang Ping'an nodded and hastily went forward to say to Cheng Zhou, "Mr. Cheng, let me take a look at the child!"

Cheng Zhou was also confused at this time, and he was so desperate that he didn't care about good or bad doctors. When Gu Xiu told him that the child couldn't be saved, his heart almost stopped beating. At this moment, seeing Wang Ping'an coming over to take a look at the child, he handed the child over in a daze.

Wang Ping'an held the child and looked at him, and was suddenly frightened. The child's head was swollen, almost a whole circle bigger, his eyelids were also swollen to the point of being just a slit, and he looked even more severely swollen than Qi Laozhuang from Fangmazi Village!

He put the child on the ground, opened his clothes and saw that the child's body was also swollen, but the swelling was slightly weaker, not as severe as the head, with red skin, looking very frightening.

The four diagnostic methods of traditional Chinese medicine are observation, listening, questioning and pulse-taking. Observation is the first diagnosis. Wang Pingan took one look at the child's appearance and immediately understood that this was an allergic reaction!

He gently scratched the child's skin, and the child shuddered, sobbing: "Itchy, uncomfortable!" He was only four or five years old and couldn't speak clearly, but this sentence also made his symptoms clear!

Wang Ping'an helped him zip up his clothes, let out a sigh, and stood up!

He let out a sigh, which startled everyone present, and the old man in official robes almost fainted! They invited Hu Xiu to come and diagnose the illness, but Hu Xiu also sighed and said that the child was beyond saving. Now Wang Ping'an is sighing too - could today's events really be taking a turn for the worse?

Houxiu sighed and said, "Even Ping'an's little divine doctor can't do anything about it. It seems that this child is beyond saving!"

Wang Ping'an turned his head to look at him and said, "Who says there's no rescue? Oh, you're asking why I'm sighing! I was thinking what this child is allergic to... Hmm, it's just that he ate something wrong, not that the child can't be saved, this isn't a serious illness, what's all this talk about being rescued or not?"

Hou Xiu was shocked and exclaimed, "Such a serious illness is nothing big?" Suddenly remembering that the person in front of him was Ping An, the little divine doctor, who could be considered his half-teacher, he hastily said, "Right, right, if Little Divine Doctor says it's curable, then it's curable!" His heart filled with joy, thinking to himself that he would learn another trick this time, and wondering what kind of prescription the Little Divine Doctor would come up with, he must remember it carefully!

The old man in the official robe heard this, his body swayed slightly, and he let out a long sigh. He grasped Cheng Zhou's hand and said, "Old brother, this child can be saved, I'm at ease now. Looking at the child like this, my own heart is dying, it's too unfair to you, old brother!"

Cheng Zhou suddenly came to his senses, grabbed Wang Ping'an's sleeve and exclaimed: "You're going to take the medical exam, right? You're going to take the medical exam! Can you cure my grandson's illness? Quickly treat him, I beg of you!"

Wang Ping'an furrowed his brow, this illness is easy to cure if you say it's easy to cure, but it's really not easy to cure. Allergies are a small matter in modern treatment, but in the early Tang Dynasty, without special medicine, treating this disease requires finding the cause of the disease, otherwise he dare not prescribe medicine!

Some people are allergic to peanuts, some are allergic to peaches, some are allergic to cumin in barbecue, and some are even allergic to seafood. Some people can't even eat scrambled eggs with meat! There are too many reasons for allergies, so first we need to find the cause of the disease and see what this child ate wrong. This disease is not difficult to cure, it's easy to prescribe medicine, but the hard part is finding the cause of the disease!

"Let's not stand on the street anymore, find a place to talk, I have something to ask!"

Fat shopkeeper said: "Right, right, go to my wine house, you eat and chat!"

The old man in official robes sighed and said, "Who's still in the mood to eat?"
