They made it. The ritual site. The massive templates that formed in a circular motion on the ground within the site, looked to shape some sort of pentagon. Ulysee takes a deep breath, knowing that this is where she was to be.
She comes to a sudden stop during this breath, before moving forward again soon after. Brandon grabs her by the wrist to halt her. She looks back at him as he tells her that she can take some time to herself first. Ulysee shakes her head and gets ready to speak, when suddenly a series of strong coughs leave her mouth. She hunches over as she delivers these coughs into her hand.
Looking at her palm when it’s over, she gains a measurable amount of relief. The expression in her face goes from worried to at ease. She shows Brandon a stainless palm, indicating that there was yet to be any blood. He notes to her that there is still time.
They make their way for the flat dome ahead. The ritual site has two live sized statues kneeling in place in front of it. A spark of mana strikes Brandon’s intuition, and he holds his arm out in front of Ulysee, stopping her in place. Ulysee follows the dagger eyes that Brandon now gives ahead.
They came to life. Blue flames lit within the statues as they rose off the ground with massive flat headed glaives in their hands. They appeared to be two handed weapons. It was like looking at two walking skyscrapers for Ulysee and Brandon.
Brandon balls up both of his fists before summoning his large black bow. He gathers mana underneath his feet and orders Ulysee to stay behind. Without even allowing her to say anything back, Brandon takes off.
Striving directly towards the massive golems, Brandon releases a series of explosive arrows all around the two statues. They appear as mini explosions compared to the statues themselves, appearing to do as little damage as possible as the golems continued to move without any form of fear or worry. Brandon continues to skate around the two anyway.

The golems’ slow movements give Brandon an advantage. He skates effortlessly around the two, spinning them both in circles as he continues to shower arrows between the two. The golems try to either step on Brandon or grab him – not yet swinging their weapons. This is until one waits for Brandon to make his way around it, yet again. The golem raises his weapon and then slams it into the ground, purposely missing Brandon but having enough strength to create a massive shockwave that disrupts the ground underneath his feet.
Right then and there he lost his balance. The massive golem to his left, created enough force from a single slam that disrupted Brandon, sweeping him off his feet as he tripped over the force itself. Not even direct impact.
His body hurdled against the dirt, landing him still within range of the two giants as the second giant who didn’t commence an actual attack yet, reached for Brandon with his land-scaling arm. Brandon bit the dirt hard.
Just as the golem nearly had Brandon in its hands, a massive green arrow shoots through the golem’s right shoulder, blowing off a chunk of its arm and most of its shoulder. Brandon sees this happen right before his eyes.
The golem screams in pain, pulling back as it withdraws from attempting to capture Brandon. The arrow that struck it vanishes upon impact, as it didn’t create an actual explosion, but more so deleted the chunk of the golem that it took upon impact. The golem wailed an echoing pain before giving out and collapsing on its side. This placed the second golem’s attention on Ulysee.
She was now panting, her hands smoking as she took the posture of someone holding a great bow, though there was nothing in hand. Brandon instantly drew the conclusion that somehow Ulysee shot off not only a magical arrow, but a charged arrow without a bow. Something that only the highest of skilled archery witches could do.
