Chapter 107: Corpse Deception

What is called "false resurrection" is what the ancients referred to as: when a person dies, sometimes there is still a breath of air left in their chest. If this is disturbed by a cat or mouse, they will falsely come back to life, which is commonly known as false resurrection. However, this one breath cannot sustain life and can only cause the resurrected corpse to wildly chase and bite like a beast, until that breath is exhausted and it falls to the ground, only then is it considered truly dead.

There are actually many types of corpses, which I won't elaborate on here. If there's a chance in the future, I'll provide a detailed explanation for everyone in later posts.

The book returned to its original form, and at that time, both Lao Yi and I were stunned. After all, this was the first time we had seen such a thing. Although we didn't know whether the ghostly women in the coffin would come back to life or turn into ghosts, I knew it wasn't a good omen.

Only to see those ghost girls' eyes staring blankly at the ceiling, with water droplets dripping one by one onto their foreheads. I thought to myself that this might be the legendary "ghost opening its eyes". We absolutely cannot let the water drip into its eyes, or else once it opens its eyes, the two will clash and it will become extremely ferocious!

Lao Yi saw this situation and hastily asked me what to do.

So I quickly let go of the chicken wing, pulled my left hand into my sleeve, and then stretched out to block the forehead of the female corpse. The water droplets fell onto my sleeve, although they didn't touch my skin, but I still immediately felt a chill that pierced to the bone. Damn it.

It seems that I still underestimated the resentment condensed into this water droplet, and as soon as it dripped onto my clothes, I already had a feeling like putting my hand in the refrigerator. No, this description is not quite right either, it should be the kind of feeling when you wear this down jacket with your arms exposed outside on a cold winter day with icy skies and snowy grounds.

My arm is getting numb, I secretly cursed, this is too torturous. You dead woman, even after death you won't stop, it's better to just fight it head-on. So I turned around and shouted at Old Yi: "Old Yi!! Hurry up!! I'm going to collapse!! Are you not done yet?!"

Only the old Yi behind him was a bit shaky, apparently he was also very anxious, possibly because he saw that the female corpse had opened its eyes and was very tense. At this moment, one hand was tightly grasping the chicken, while the other hand held the unopened watermelon knife, shaking uncontrollably as it stabbed at the yellow chicken's body, but no matter how hard it tried, it couldn't pierce through. The yellow chicken struggled desperately.

He muttered to himself as he cut, "I don't want to either, what a crappy knife, how can it be so dull?!"

Looking at him now, he looks like an old lady who has aged, or that legendary centenarian neighbor Wu Lao Er.

But Wu Lao Er had a cerebral thrombosis and was trembling with fear, looking at everyone. You're Yi Xin Xing, such a big old man, what are you trembling for?

So I anxiously shouted at him: "Lao Yi!!! Have you ever killed a chicken or not!!!! What are you blindly stabbing at!!!! Slit the throat!!!!!"

Lao Yi has a weakness, that is, once he gets nervous, he becomes confused. Obviously, he was confused just now and was startled by my shout, finally coming back to his senses. He hastily said: "Rub its neck, ah yes, rub its neck!!"

After finishing speaking, he picked up the yellow chicken and took out the dull knife to hack at the yellow chicken's neck, just like sawing wood.

I looked at him like that, and I couldn't help but laugh and cry. I was just about to say to him, if it doesn't work, let me do it, but just as I was about to speak, a sharp pain came from my left hand.

I turned my head unconsciously and was suddenly scared out of my wits.

All I saw was that the female corpse's head had somehow lifted up, and at this moment it was biting tightly on my left arm. Its eyes were slanted, staring at me, and just happened to intersect with my line of sight. What kind of gaze was that? The feeling it gave me was as if in its eyes, Old Yi and I were like two white-cut chickens.

Suddenly another scare made my head go 'buzz', this was also too sudden, because when it's said and done, everything happened in just a few dozen seconds.

It's a fake death!!!! It really is a fake death!!!!!

Damn it, if my experience at that time appeared on the internet, I would definitely have shouted out loud first, but reality is not exaggerated like that. Due to the sudden fright, I even forgot to shout, and only reflexively wielded the 108 copper coin sword, forcefully swinging it towards the ghost girl's head!

  Bang!

The mouth that bit my left arm loosened, and the ghost girl fell back into the coffin. I quickly pulled my left hand back, damn it.

This is too exciting, it's like a thrilling experience, I feel my heart beating wildly, as if I've already exceeded 200 miles per hour and directly entered the highway.

But I know that now is not the time to be afraid, because after the female corpse was laid down in the coffin, it actually showed signs of wanting to get up again. Seeing it still wanting to get up, I suddenly cried out in my heart, "You've already scared us like this just by lying there, if you're allowed to get up, won't that give me a heart attack?"

I have to say, although I've seen dead bodies before, female ghosts and monsters too, but this resurrection thing is the first time I've encountered it. After all, since childhood, I've been influenced by TV and those folk stories, now after thoroughly experiencing a live broadcast, I feel that this is really strange, just like a toad, not biting people but should be feared by people.

I believe Lao Yi's feeling at this moment is the same as mine.

So I withdrew my left hand and the first action was to immediately pull out a 'Jiawu Yujing Po Sha Fu' and stick it directly on the forehead of the little villain in the coffin, while shouting loudly: "Hurry up like a law enforcement order!!!!!!"

With just a 'peng' sound, the female corpse in the coffin started shaking non-stop for a few times, then it raised its head and stopped moving.

As I saw it stop moving, I temporarily put my mind at ease. My forehead was still reeling from the impact, and although I wasn't sure if this zombie was considered a ghost or what, but with this talisman, I should have already dealt significant damage to it! So I quickly turned around and shouted loudly at Old Yi: "Old Yi!!! Are you okay yet!!!! Hurry up!!!!! This little scoundrel is going to get back up!!!!!"

Lao Yi listened to me and hurriedly added his strength, grabbing the yellow chicken with a blunt knife and making a strong swing at its neck. The yellow chicken let out a miserable cry, and in this suburban villa on that night, it was eerily quiet.

He shouted at me while sawing: "Faster! Faster!!! Don't rush me!!!"

So I could only turn my head around again, and at this moment, I suddenly thought of the plot that often appears on TV, that is, zombies biting people, and those who are bitten by zombies will also be infected with zombie poison, and soon they will become zombies too. Although I don't know if these dead women count as zombies, but I was really scared.

I quickly rolled up my sleeves and looked at my poor left arm, fortunately, due to the cold temperature of Harbin in early spring, I was still wearing thick clothes, with a down jacket over a sweater, and a shirt under the sweater. So it wasn't bitten through, but I still found something that gave me a headache.

That's right, my entire left arm has been frozen by the condensed water droplets of that evil spirit, and a sour and numb feeling keeps coming.

I secretly thought it was bad, if this evil spirit enters the body, I won't die but will lose a layer of skin, what should I do?

Suddenly I thought of the grey nail polish passed down to me by Huang San Tai Nai, no, it's black nail polish. Although its known function is nothing more than Bondi and Haiwang Jintang, but now that the situation is urgent, I have no choice but to use it as a last resort!

So I immediately raised the right hand that was tightly grasping the copper sword, stretched out my little finger and made a cut on my left arm.

It's okay, it seems like I've been fooled again. Just as my left arm was cut with a knife and fresh blood flowed out, those numb and tingling feelings gradually disappeared.

This makes me marvel at how useful this disgusting little fingernail is. I suddenly feel like going back to Longjiang to find Huang Santai and become his apprentice.

Just as I was slightly distracted, it seemed like there was another movement in the coffin. So I hurried forward to take a look and saw that the female corpse inside seemed to have come back to life. The water droplets falling from the ceiling hit the symbol on its forehead, and its eyes changed, becoming greedy-looking. Seeing me staring at it, it glared at me as if seeing a treasure of over a million dollars. At the same time, it opened its mouth and let out a mournful wail, which sounded like both painful moaning and curses towards my whole family.

My god!!! It's a complete and utter beauty of Chu people!!! This expression is too terrifying!!! Someone quickly come over and put a mosaic on its face!!!

Suddenly, I got goosebumps all over again. How can it be so resistant to beating!!! After the Ghost Gate received my talisman, it still didn't calm down!!!!!

At this moment, a loud cry of a yellow chicken and Old Yi's excited voice came from behind: "It's done!!!! It's finally done!!!!!"

It was great!! After hearing Lao Yi's shout, I quickly turned around and saw that Lao Yi had finally cut the chicken's throat with that small blunt knife. The yellow chicken in his hand hadn't died yet and was still struggling violently, with blood flowing from its neck all over Lao Yi's body.

So I yelled at Lao Yi: "Quick!!! Lao Yi, throw it directly into the coffin for me! Don't leave any face! Smash it to death!!!"

Lao Yi hurriedly stepped forward, holding the yellow chicken and walking to the side of the coffin. Seeing the female corpse in the coffin with this appearance, he was shocked and exclaimed: "My god!! Do you have to do it like this?? Are you making a movie?? How can it be so terrifying?!"

I'm speechless, what's wrong with you, Old Yi? It's almost too late! So I anxiously shouted at him: "Old Yi!! Stop wasting words!! Smash it!! Quickly throw the chicken and smash it!!"

Lao Yi listened to me and didn't dare to slack off anymore. He hastily picked up the yellow chicken and slammed it into the coffin with great force.

Only a loud and mournful cry of the yellow chicken came, and the yellow chicken hit the woman's corpse in the face. Since the chicken was not dead yet, it struggled constantly in the coffin, and the spell I stuck on the woman's head was blown away. The chicken blood stained the woman's face, which was as scary and eerie as it could be.

Lao Yi and I thought that this chicken blood was famous for warding off evil spirits, now use it to wash your face, it will surely make you lose your soul.

But tragedy struck, and after the woman's corpse had chicken blood smeared on her face, she let out an extremely painful shriek before suddenly standing up straight!!

At this scene, Old Yi and I were really stunned, why is this!!!!!!

Just as I and Lao Yi were extremely shocked, the female corpse with a bloody face slowly turned her head and stared at us.

Suddenly, I clearly felt a cold sweat trickling down from my forehead.

(This is one chapter I wrote twice, and there's another one later.)
