Prologue

I couldn't breath. There was an intense pressure over my chest I couldn't get rid of. I tryed to take deep breaths but was limited in my oxygen intake.

The room was dark and more like a cave than a proper room. There was only one source of light and the was the candle by the bed where I lay.

I felt restraints on my arms. They were holding my arms down with such force that I couldn't even move them at all. Even my advanced strength wasn't enough to break the holds.

My mind too was failing me. I found that I couldn't collect my thoughts enough to form a clear plan. I tryed to assess my surroundings. I looked around and found the rooms only furnishings were the bed I was apon and a table right next to it.

The table held three items. A simple candle in its holder, a screwdriver, and, oddly, a book.

The bed I was on actually turned out to be a stone slab. The slab was lo larger then a normal twin size bed. It was hard and uncomfortable. I decided that I had to gather out.

I mustered all my strength and broke the restraints holding me to the slab. I then took gold of the screwdriver and drove it into my arm.
