Note of the Forbidden

Sasaki starts running around with his sword out.

“After those explosions, everything went silent. I don’t sense anyone using aura, yet there’s still many presences roaming.”

He stops running as he gets to a river.

“Although they said there’s gonna be skirmishes happening in the following days, they didn’t say how long we have. Meaning.”

He sees fish swimming down the river. He smiles.

“These skirmishes are gonna go on for a while.”

  Homura is running around.

“I’m just too nervous! I need to blow of some steam. Anyone just pop out and let’s fight!”

Suddenly, tree roots grow from the ground, chasing him. He looks back and jumps up on a tree.

  “Finally, there’s someone.”

A light beam shoots towards him.

He jumps up from the tree to the ground.

  “A hybrid maybe?”

The ground starts shaking. It then pushes him up in the air.

  “Woah! What is going on?!”

Finally, a burst of fire flies towards him. Homura raises his aura and uses his flames to overpower it. He lands safely.

  Panicking, he looks around.

“Come out! This doesn’t make sense!”

He swiftly turns around due to the laughing he hears behind him.

  There’s four people allied together.

“Hey, what are you guys doing?”

  The fire disciple speaks up.

“The one that will someday lead the Endou Clan? Homura. You don’t look like much. Does he look like much, glasses?”

The Light Disciple pokes her glasses upwards.

If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. Please report it.

“It’s Glima idiot! Though for someone from such a famous clan, he looks like a letdown. I mean, his aura isn’t very potent.”

  The earth disciple steps up.

“Be kind to him. Let’s at least see what he can do.”

“Why are you guys working together? Surely this isn’t allowed?”

  The nature disciple finally speaks.

“The rules don’t say anything about working together. So due to that, we formed a temporary alliance.

  Homura gets angry.

  “Temporary indeed.”

He raises his aura drastically. His powerful aura overwhelms the alliance in front of him. The four of them are shocked.

“How has his aura changed so much in a matter of seconds?!”

  The fire disciple laughs.

“Just what I expected from the Homura Clan!”

The fire disciples dashes towards Homura with his fists covered in flames. He goes to punch him. However Homura dodges and punches his chest.

Glima shoots a few light beams towards Homura in which he overpowers as he raises his firepower and shoots it towards them.

Homura runs to the earth disciple and tries to punch him. He blocks it and tries punching him back, however Homura counters and shoots a fire blast from point blank.

The smoke clears and the earth disciple is going, leading Homura to gain five points.

  “Easy.”

  The nature disciple gets pissed.

“I won’t let you beat us!”

He raises his aura and creates roots that race towards Homura.

Homura jumps on them, dodging them one by one, until suddenly, the roots catch up to him and constricts him from moving.

Homura struggles but still, he cannot move.

  “Damn it!”

  The fire disciple giggles.

“You done it? Taro you done it! Ha!”

He starts walking slowly to Homura.

“Before we eliminate you, I’ll let you know my name. I’m Kael, a fellow fire disciple. Sad to see you go to soon.”

Kael raises his aura in his right hand. It then turns to flames.

  “Fire Cross!”

He shoots fire in the shape of a cross towards Homura. Homura braces himself.

Then out of nowhere, vines grow from the ground, blocking Fire Cross and freeing Homura from the roots.

Kuragami made a fishing rod. He is at a lake fishing.

“No need to rush things. If everyone else were smart, they would know this shouldn’t be rushed too. This will take a couple of days.”

Kuragami tries to hide his excitement.

  “THIS IS SO COOL!”

He hears a sound at one of the bushes behind him. He quickly looks back.

“I probably shouldn’t have shouted. Hey! You tryna fish with me?”

Kuragami hears a lot of splashing at the lake. He turns to look. His fishing rod gets forced in the lake.

  “What’s going on?!

He holds onto his fishing rod as hard as he can. However, it gets sucked in.

Kuragami swiftly flips on his feet.

  “I sense aura.”

The lake then creates a large whirlpool. The whirlpool flies towards Kuragami.

Kuragami dashes out the way then looks at his surroundings.

“Show yourself! Stop being a coward!”

“A coward huh? Or a weakling?!”

  “What?”

Kuragami looks back confused. It’s Yakone. Kuragami knows what Yakone is feeling.

“Why serious Yakone? Apparently you’ve been training really hard for the past few days.”

“Of course I have. I needed to prove something.”

  “Prove what?”

“Kuragami. Do you see me as a weakling? Am I weak?”

  Kuragami hesitates to answer.

  “No-of course not.”

Yakone chuckles. He mutters under his breath.

“How can you effortlessly lie like that.”

  Yakone raises his aura.

“Hey Yakone, you really want to do this here? Right now?”

“I need to know what you feel, deep within your heart!”

The Kizoku are all watching the skirmish on different monitors. Ruri is excited watching.

“Sasaki. Let’s see the power you have, I wonder why your master forbids it.”
