Chapter 14: Why Does She Always Let Him See Her in a Mess?

  (14) Why does she always let him see her sloppy and unkempt self?

Song Min, with a burning anger in her heart, typed out a few lines and then threw the computer aside. She wrapped herself in a quilt and slept from morning till afternoon. When she woke up, it was already dark outside. She got out of bed dazedly, turned on the light, and stood on the floor for a long time before coming to her senses.

  This sleep is too comfortable.

Stretched and went back to the bedside to put on slippers, turned off the light and went to the living room.

"Mom, what's for dinner tonight?" Song Min walked straight to the kitchen and as he passed by the living room, he saw Wen Yan sitting casually on the couch. In his heart, there was only one thought - she was going to explode. Why did she always let him see her sloppy and unkempt self?

Song Min quietly walked towards the bathroom, tied up her hair and washed her face again.

When they went out again, Wen Yan and Song Hao were still sitting on the sofa, with the two people sitting extremely close. Song Hao had a photo album spread out on his leg, occasionally pointing to it for Wen Yan to see.

Photo album? Song Min is really going crazy, every single photo from before is something she would want to destroy even in her dreams...

What's worse is that Wen Yan still looked serious and lowered his head.

Song Min originally wanted to go back to the room to change clothes, but seeing Song Hao almost laughing to the point of being out of breath, as well as Wen Yan's curved eyes and lips, she suppressed her inner anger, broke the jar and sat down on one side of the sofa, poured a glass of water and drank slowly.

"Sister, how much do you weigh now?" Song Hao asked Song Min with a smile.

Wen Yan was also watching her from the side, and if he wasn't mistaken, his eyes were shining with a bright, sparkling light, like precious gems.

"Mind your own business." Song Minbai gave him a glance, "I'd rather spend the time I waste worrying about my weight on memorizing two vocabulary words."

"It's Chinese New Year, can't you not mention studying?" Song Hao looked at Song Min with a displeased face.

  Song Min smiled, "Not necessarily."

"You didn't tell me, so I thought you still weighed the same as when you were in third year of high school, 120 jin!"

Song Min finished drinking the water in his cup and put it on the coffee table, "I don't care if you think I'm 120 jin or not, as long as you're happy."

  "Everyone shut up and eat."

Song's mother was laying out chopsticks while calling everyone to come and eat.

Wen Yan helped Song Hao to the dinner table.

Dad is busy serving rice for everyone.

It seemed like Song Min had nothing better to do, so she went to wash her hands again.

At dinner time, Song Dad and Song Mom chatted happily with Wen Yan, while only Song Min and Song Hao adhered to the principle of "eating without speaking, sleeping without talking" and quietly ate their meal with their heads down.

It's not that they don't want to speak, it's just that they can't get a word in edgewise.

For example, Song's mother asked, "Shouldn't Wenyan's parents come over for Chinese New Year?"

Wen said he was going to his grandmother's house.

Then Father Song asked: "Where is Grandma's home?"

Wen said with a smile, "In the city."

"Alas, I was thinking of having a drink with your dad during the New Year to strengthen our bond." Mr. Song said with a hint of regret.

"After the Spring Festival, I will come back and stay for a few days."

"You must come home for dinner on time."

  "Good."

  ……

"Song Min, eat your vegetables." Song's mom suddenly knocked on Song Min's bowl, startling her and making her jump up, her head raised to meet Wen Yan's dark eyes, which seemed to be smiling.

Song Min reluctantly stretched her chopsticks towards the steamed fish, not that she didn't want to eat, but she was simply not hungry.

"Song Hao and you, can't you just not learn from your sister, all you know is eating rice, eating rice, not even touching the dishes!" Song's mom was so angry that she started serving them vegetables.

Looking at the dishes piling up in her bowl, Song Min felt like crying. She sighed and said, "Mom, I can't finish eating."

"Mom, add some more, I can finish it."

Song Min glared at Song Hao and gave him the middle finger in her heart.

Song Hao glared back, unwilling to show weakness.
