Chapter 1: The current nostalgia and distress are all pretended at that time.

The current homesickness and distress are all pretended when filling out the volunteer form back then.

  Four oclock in the afternoon.

The sky is gray and overcast, with a strong cold wind blowing, looking like its about to snow.

Song Min dragged his luggage out of the airport, took a deep breath of the dry and cold air, and a satisfied expression appeared on his face. He was finally home!

But the artistic mood didnt last for three seconds, her hair was blown by the wind and stuck to her face, Song Mins body shivered, only then did she realize how cold it was outside. She busied herself tidying up her hair, tightening her scarf, and hailed a taxi.

  "Master, L district."

Song Dad has been away on a business trip for the past few days, Song Mom is taking care of Song Hai in the hospital, so Song Min can only go home alone.

If it were in normal times, Song Dad and Song Mom would not have let Song Min return home alone.

Whenever Song Hai is mentioned, Song Min gets annoyed. This kid doesnt learn anything, only learns to fight and brawl from others. Does she really think that if she tells her parents that she fell down the stairs and broke her leg, Song Min would believe her? Ha ha, doesnt she know how well Song Min understands Song Hai?

The air conditioner in the car was turned up high, and the warmth gave Song Min a feeling of hot tears welling up in his eyes. In the south, there is no heating in winter! None! Heating! Air!

"Miss, youre studying in a university away from home, right?" The driver glanced at Song Min through the rearview mirror and smiled slightly, with some affection.

  "Uh-huh."

"My daughter is also studying abroad, when she first went to school, she missed home so much that every time she called, she would cry on the phone. As parents, we cant help but worry about our daughters who are alone in a foreign land, and I dont know how you kids have such big hearts, giving up good universities in the city or province to go so far away..."

All the way, I chatted with the driver from time to time, and soon arrived in the district.

Looking at the familiar street scene, Song Min suddenly had an urge to cry. Every time she returned home and saw these familiar streets and alleys, she felt inexplicably moved, always thinking of herself with pigtails and wearing a small skirt, being led by her parents through these streets and alleys.

Its probably what they call getting more homesick as you get older.

Back home, Song Min simply tidied up and slumped onto the sofa, not wanting to move. The warm and cozy feeling in the room was truly long overdue.

Song Min hadnt slept much on the plane, but now he lay down on the soft sofa and fell asleep without realizing it.

After a while, the sound of opening the door came, and Songs mother saw Song Min lying on the sofa as soon as she entered. She couldnt help but scold: "Song Min, why are you sleeping on the sofa? You didnt even cover yourself with a quilt, what if you catch a cold?"

"Huh?" Song Min slowly opened his eyes, struggling to sit up, "Mom, youre back? I just slept for a bit."

Songs mother took off her coat and walked over to touch Song Mins face, with a coolness on the tip of her finger, "How did you get thinner again?"

Song Min was speechless, who said her face had gained weight again just two days ago during the video call...

"What do you want to eat tonight? Mom will make it for you."

"Anything is fine." Song Min stretched his waist and lazily asked while snuggling into the sofa, "Is it snowing outside?"

"Its snowing, it hasnt snowed this heavily in years." Song Mama pinched Song Mins cheek and stood up to head towards the kitchen, "Wear more clothes when going out these few days, dont catch a cold."

"Alright." Song Min smiled and responded, getting up from the sofa and walking over to the floor-to-ceiling window.

The sky was dark, and a thick layer of snow had already covered the ground. Under the dim yellow streetlights, large snowflakes danced down from the sky without stopping.

Its been a long time since Ive seen such a view.

It turns out that "from now on, my hometown will only have winter and summer, no more spring and autumn" is so apt.

The current homesickness and distress are all the pressures I pretended to have when filling out the college application form back then.
