“I'll hold it off as long as I can” the man was tired his robe was worn, and his skin was decorated with scars as he held up his staff with the little strength he had left and gave it to the small orb of light to his side
“But master you won't survive this he’s too powerful even for you’ the small orb said with a pain in its voice “I'm not going to beat him I know that for a fact, but I can stop him long enough for you to find a solution” the man retorted back a small smile forming on his bruised and bloodied face.
Before the small orb of light could let out another word, a large explosion could be heard blowing away the small cover they were hiding behind, leaving them in a massive dust cloud. “Master I can't see you what happened” The dust slowly started to slowly clear to slowly show the figure of the man behind held up by the neck, only a pair of glowing blood-red eyes could be made out holding him. “Damn it all, he found us” the man said, his breath slow and heavy as hew was being held up by the figure hidden in the remaining dust cloud.
The man looked at the ball of light with a small pained smile on his face “I didn't want it to be like this I thought we had more time” the man said blood slowly falling from his lips “This is your end Merlin” the figured cloaked in dust said his eyes narrowing looking at the man staring daggers into him “This may be my end, but this will be yours as well” he says before placing his hand on the figures'' chest quickly chanting a few words “Dark great seal” as he finished chanting the words the figure dropped him quickly, but it was too late a sigil was inscribed into its chest as a black void started forming behind him the dust getting sucked away from the voids intense strength to revealed the figure.

The figured now revealed looked at merlin a deep hateful scowl forming on its face as it try to fight the force on the intense void sucking his entire being into it “MERLIN YOU BASTARD” the man roared out as his body was being sucked into the black empty void Merlin had created but as the man was being twisted and contorted by the empty void he noticed something “Oh I understand what this is now” He says as a wicked smile starts forming his mouth as he looks at merlin seeing that merlin’s body was contouring and being pulled into the void just as he was “Sealing us both so that way no one can wield the power of the staff of M is that right?” Merlin looks at him a soft smile spreading on his face as he lets his body slowly fall into the void “Well you’re half right but oh so very wrong my friend” The man quickly looked away from merlin to turned to the ball of light that had been safeguarding the staff and a shocked expression filled his face “Your light construct can't wield that staff, and you know it what are you planning?” He says as the gem of the staff starts to glow an ethereal shade of white casting an open another portal behind the light construct “Master what are you doing” the Light orb says as its mass starts slowly falling into the blue portal that was made behind it
“I know this portal will only hold the both of us for so long until then find someone who can fix this for me” Merlin says, a cheery smile forming on his face as the black void start taking more and more of him and the man “MASTER WAIT WE CAN FIGURE SOMETHING ELSE OUT PLEASE I NEED YOU HERE”
Merlin, his entire upper body being swept into the void looks at his construct for what may be the final time and parts his lips with a smile
“Thank you for putting up with my lunacy”
