"Heh, Eirik, you're going to see—today was the best decision you've ever made!"
As Elvynna turned and walked away, Junior Sister flashed Eirik a sweet, triumphant smile, her heart bubbling with excitement.
In the game, she may have faltered—but in the real world? She had succeeded far beyond her expectations!
Now, with Eirik—her very own magical amplifier—by her side, even if the Ravenshadow family were to fall from grace, she had nothing to fear.
Who knew? With Eirik’s power, perhaps the Ravenshadow family could avoid the crushing fate of ruin.
“Come on, let’s head home!” Junior Sister said eagerly, grabbing Eirik’s arm and leading him toward the estate.
Before they even reached the mansion, they passed several household retainers and servants. Each greeted Pixie with great respect, though their eyes followed Eirik with unmistakable curiosity.
Who is this young man with the lady? He didn’t appear to come from any notable family—his clothes were too plain. Why, then, was the eldest daughter showing him such favor?
Pixie had always been a bit eccentric and unpredictable. The boy must have done something to amuse her—likely the reason for his special treatment.
Others whispered that the boy might have some rare talent or hidden skill.
No matter what they thought, the strange pairing of Pixie and Eirik certainly didn’t go unnoticed among the servants, sparking quiet rumors and speculations.
Finally, the two reached the heart of the Ravenshadow estate.
They passed through a series of stunning gardens before Eirik finally stood before his new quarters.
"See this garden? From now on, it’s yours!" Pixie beamed, pointing to a sprawling expanse.
Eirik raised an eyebrow, eyes wide as he looked toward the gate. The nameplate "Camellia Garden" gleamed in polished gold letters.
"This… this entire garden? For me?"
He looked around in astonishment. The garden stretched far and wide—an Eden of waterfalls, pools, and countless sculptures dotting the landscape. Two grand houses nestled within the trees, designed with elegant simplicity, hidden among the greenery.
He could only imagine the servants and maids who would likely be assigned to him here.
The Ravenshadow family lived up to its reputation as a house of powerful magic scholars—this level of luxury was beyond what most could achieve in a lifetime.
At Pixie’s command, squads of maids and attendants were already scurrying around, tidying up every inch of the garden and its grounds. The hustle and bustle attracted the attention of many in the estate.
"Wait... Miss Pixie just gave Camellia Garden to some random boy?"
The head steward muttered in disbelief.
Stolen content warning: this tale belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences elsewhere.
Even for a family as wealthy as the Ravenshadows, only five or six such opulent gardens existed within the estate. Aside from the family patriarch, the ancestral elder, and Pixie herself, only a select few honored guests were ever granted the right to live in one.
And now, this boy? What had he done to earn such favor?
The steward, though respecting Pixie’s authority, felt this decision was far too extravagant.
"Do you even know what you're doing, Miss?" he muttered under his breath. "How can you just give away one of our finest estates to this boy?"
Pixie shot him a dismissive glance, a mischievous smile tugging at her lips.
"Spare me your nonsense, old man. You're just a servant. What right do you have to question my decisions?"
The steward bit his lip but said nothing more.
Meanwhile, Pixie’s thoughts were filled with disdain.
"Those so-called honored guests? Hah! Just a bunch of useless old men. Most of them barely have purple-tier talents, and some of them even rank at blue-tier! Without the Ravenshadow family’s resources, they’d be nothing."
"But Eirik... my Eirik... He's nothing like them."
Her chest swelled with pride.
"Eirik’s a gold card—a true prodigy. Not just any gold card, either—he’s got at least two golden attributes, maybe more! That’s a level of talent they can’t even begin to understand."
If Eirik weren’t so new to the estate, Pixie would have gladly kicked her own father out of his house to make room for him.
After all, in both simulations, her father Edward Ravenshadow played a significant role in the family’s downfall. If Pixie’s ancestors could see how their legacy had been destroyed by him, they’d probably break his legs themselves.
For now, though, the steward remained baffled, unwilling to accept Pixie’s actions. With a heavy sigh, he finally bowed and went off to report to Edward.
"Master Edward… I don’t understand why Miss Pixie has taken such a liking to this boy," the steward lamented. "But surely there must be some reason. What should we do about it?"
Edward stroked his beard, his face drawn in thought.
"The Camellia Garden… Isn't that the same estate I promised to Chad, the Practitioner Lv2?"
Chad's abilities were nothing special, but he was well-connected and had brokered several key alliances with the Crimson Frost Duke. As a reward, Edward had granted him residence in the Camellia Garden.
"That brat Pixie! How dare she override my decision?" Edward snarled, slamming his fist down.
"She's becoming too bold for her own good!"
With a swirl of his robe, Edward stormed out of his study, heading toward the Camellia Garden with quick, furious strides.
Meanwhile, Pixie remained unbothered by the news of her father's rage.
"Eirik, darling, is there anything else you need? Just say the word, and I’ll make it happen!" she chirped, directing maids and servants to arrange the house to perfection.
Eirik watched the scene unfold, deeply grateful. Pixie was treating him far better than he could have ever imagined.
He silently vowed that, should the Demon Tree Uprising come to pass, he would do everything in his power to protect Pixie.
Just as they were chatting, a young maid came running toward them, her Stalwart Lv8 speed making her appear as nothing more than a blur.
"Miss Pixie! It’s bad—really bad!" the maid gasped, wiping sweat from her brow. "The steward went straight to Lord Edward. He’s furious, and he’s on his way here right now!"
Pixie chuckled, unfazed.
"Relax. So what if he’s coming? This garden belongs to us now, and we’re staying put!"
The young maid blinked in confusion.
"But, Miss, how are you so sure? What’s so special about this boy that you’re willing to risk so much for him?"
Pixie leaned in, a sly grin spreading across her face.
"I suppose I could share a little secret..."
She whispered conspiratorially: “Eirik is the Eye of Divine Insight.”
The maid’s jaw dropped in shock.
"The… Eye of Divine Insight?!"
She looked at Eirik again, this time with reverence.
It all made sense now—of course Pixie would treasure someone with such a divine gift.
The Eye of Divine Insight was a god-tier talent, destined to rise to the very top of the magical world. With Eirik on their side, the Ravenshadow family wouldn’t just survive—they would rule the entire Northlands.
"Why didn’t you tell the steward, Miss? That would’ve saved us a lot of trouble..."
Pixie let out a mischievous laugh.
"Where’s the fun in that? Let’s just wait and see how red their faces get when they realize what they’ve done."
She giggled, already savoring the chaos that was about to unfold.
