29: Can Others Do It?

  Another golden opportunity...

At this moment, the women involved in the simulation couldn't help but feel a pang of envy.

"I haven't even seen one golden entry yet, and Eirik already has three..." Selene muttered, frustration creeping into her voice.

Pixie, with Eirik's help, had already reached the Savant level, while Selene, a respected mentor, had started as a Practitioner Level 4. Yet, after all this time, she remained stuck at Practitioner Level 6. It was only due to the wisdom gained from her past lives that she had advanced in magic at all.

"Is it truly impossible to play this simulation without clinging to him?" Liora whispered to herself, clearly downcast. She didn’t want to be swept into a relationship with Eirik like Pixie and Elvynna had.

Liora was reserved and introverted, a woman full of secrets, accustomed to solitude. The thought of exposing her true self to anyone—let alone getting entangled with Eirik—was something she deeply dreaded.

"Sisters, I have a question... Do we really have to become his wives to recruit Eirik?" Liora finally asked, her voice hesitant as she addressed the world channel.

She wanted to recruit him too, but she wasn’t interested in growing closer to him in that way.

"Is marrying him a requirement for recruitment?" Elvynna paused, then let out a soft chuckle.

Of course, marriage wasn’t a requirement. But Eirik's Elemental Absorption ability worked best when bonds were strengthened. It was a connection she had unintentionally fostered in her own quest to grow more powerful with him.

Pixie, on the other hand, had always wanted to secure Eirik through marriage. From the start, her goal was clear: to claim him as her husband.

Pixie, a noblewoman from the prestigious Ravenshadow family, knew that marriage was more than just personal desire; it was a tool for strengthening her family’s future.

And now, she was immersed in the game, completely focused on her husband and son, abandoning her initial strategy.

Elvynna didn’t hold back and explained everything to Liora casually.

"I see…" Liora murmured, a spark of hope flickering within her.

  So there was a chance?

She silently resolved to make her move in the next round and secure Eirik’s golden entry for herself. She’d just have to navigate their relationship carefully, keeping it strictly platonic without crossing into romantic territory. After all, it was a simulation—why not give it a shot?

"This round isn’t over yet, but the competition is definitely heating up!" Selene observed with a furrowed brow.

Unauthorized duplication: this narrative has been taken without consent. Report sightings.

She couldn’t help but feel that Eirik was the most sought-after prize in the entire simulation, like the most popular professor looking for a disciple.

As "students," they were all scrambling to earn his favor.

Despite her own beauty and talent, Selene understood the fierce competition better than anyone. She wasn’t sure she would stand out when the next round arrived.

"Is there really no other golden entry?" Selene sighed bitterly. It seemed there was no hope.

Even if there were other golden talents, like that magical tree, could it be recruited? Could it be allied with?

That thing could wipe you out in seconds.

And even if another human genius appeared, what would it matter? Their talents were their own, but Eirik’s golden talent, Elemental Absorption—a world rule aura—was a different beast altogether.

By staying close to him, their own power could skyrocket, breaking through the limits of their own talents, just like Pixie, who had advanced to Savant level.

Could any other genius achieve that?

Eirik’s golden entry wasn’t just a regular golden talent—it was something new, something that stood alone.

In Eirik's previous life, this would have been called a "Top Tier Character."

Having him on your side was a game-changer.

At that moment, Eirik, seeing Pixie’s new Savant level, let out a deep sigh of relief.

Others might not understand, but he could see the truth: Pip’s potential had always been limited. With only a few hundred years to live, she couldn’t afford to waste time.

In the game, she often secluded herself to study magic for decades. But now, with her rise to Savant, she could live for thousands of years.

  Eirik finally felt at ease.

As dawn broke, he quickly logged out of the game, freshened up, and headed for the courtyard.

"Cough... I think Pip mentioned studying magic with me this morning..." Eirik murmured to himself, feeling a bit awkward for being late on his first day.

But as he stepped into the courtyard, he saw no sign of Pixie. Only a few maids were attending to the flowers.

In fact, neither Pixie nor Elvynna, who had planned to study magic with him, were around.

"Geez, they sleep more than I do..." Eirik chuckled, watching two girls walking hand in hand, chatting and laughing.

The only two who could share such a bond were Elvynna and Pixie.

As the game entered a quiet phase, they had both logged out and left their characters behind to step into the real world.

"Did you sleep well last night, Eir?" Pixie beamed at him sweetly.

  "Yeah, not bad."

Though in reality, he hadn’t slept a wink.

But after a bit of magic study and absorbing elemental energy, Eirik felt completely refreshed, with no trace of fatigue.

They exchanged pleasantries and began their magic study for the day.

"This is the Ravenshadow family's unique magic tome, Elemental Convergence," Pixie said, her voice gentle as she nestled close to Eirik. "It’s perfect for newcomers to sense elemental energy... If you have any questions, feel free to ask me!"

A faint, alluring fragrance filled the air as she leaned closer.

Though in the game, Eirik and Pixie had already grown their child to adulthood and shared countless mischievous moments, in reality, they were still untouched.

Being so close to her felt a little awkward. Pixie, with a slight blush, nervously fiddled with her hair for a moment, falling silent before Eirik. Yet, she didn’t pull away.

Mainly, she wanted to see if Eirik had the Elemental Absorption talent in reality.

While Eye of Divine Insight was impressive, Elemental Absorption was far more valuable to her.

"I think Ravenshadow's magic is a bit too traditional for your talents. It doesn’t quite suit you as an Eye of Divine Insight wielder. You might want to try my family's Elemental Sigh technique instead."

Elvynna casually remarked, sitting next to Eirik on the other side.

She, too, sat close to him. As the wind picked up, her hair fluttered, brushing against Eirik’s face, teasing his senses.
