Philosophy: knowledge, opinions, and awareness of philosophical topics, ability to teach and understand topics about what you are and how you fit into a larger hole.
Wisdom: Pool of the self and experiences that are drawn upon before taking an action
Social Connections: Your social sphere, the people you surround yourself with and your relationships
Mind is more of a “thing” while Spirit is more of the “self”. All of the sections above are those that you can actively change and improve. All of the sections have interactions with one another, some activities target multiple of each, like martial arts would cover some sections of body, mind and spirit. All sections should have some consideration put into them. Even non-empirical activities like practicing a religion fit into this framework, with this example religious practices being an activity that mostly focuses on spirit:discipline, philosophy, and social connections.
The recommendation of this framework is to pick at minimum 3 activities that have a focus on one of the 3 domains. eg. weightlifting, painting, and meditation. with encouragement to have that as foundation and seeking out improvements in the areas where your activities miss out, but fundamentally having min of 3 focuses that you choose to build yourself around. Activities that target multiple sections are fine, but assign them to be primarily of one section and choose another 2 activities for the remaining sections. Eg. Choosing martial arts as activity focusing on body, painting for mind and meditation for spirit.
The purpose of following this framework is to live a fulfilling life, true fulfillment coming from the journey of growth and having a meaningful direction to work toward. By addressing each of the major parts of oneself-Body, Mind, and Spirit-this framework ensures balanced progress both in your chosen activities and in personal development.
Moreover, considering other activities and facets, and being open to evolving your focus over time, prevents stagnation and fosters continued growth. This adaptability helps you align your actions with your evolving self, allowing you to live as fully and authentically as possible.
