Chapter 2

  Title: Beautiful

Kael stared at the words floating before him, his confusion deepening:

"You have 2 years before the tower emerges again. Train yourself with the system I have given you!"

As he struggled to process what was happening, a heavy clap on his back snapped him back to reality. Kael turned around sharply, his heart racing, only to see a familiar face grinning at him—Dowan.

“Did you see Mr. Beast's video?” Dowan asked casually, completely unaware of Kael’s turmoil.

Kael blinked, overwhelmed by emotion. It was Dowan, alive and cheerful, just like in the past. Pushing his thoughts aside, Kael forced a smile and replied, “Yeah, I did. It was awesome!” with a tone more enthusiastic than he expected.

The two walked together to school, chatting about trivial things. Kael tried his best to act normal, but the weight of his memories bore down on him.

As they reached the classroom and sat down, the bell rang, signaling the end of the first class. Kael felt a sharp slap on the back of his head. He turned around in annoyance, only to see him.

“Hey, bastard! How you doing?” Kim Jeong Woo sneered.

Kael’s blood boiled. This was the guy who had made his school life miserable in the past—his bully. Rage overtook him, and without thinking, Kael threw a punch. But his fist landed weakly, barely affecting Jeong Woo.

Kael’s confusion deepened. Why… why am I so weak? The realization hit him hard. He was back to his old, powerless self.

Jeong Woo smirked and retaliated with a hard slap, sending Kael stumbling to the ground. Laughter erupted from Jeong Woo and his friends as they mocked him. The situation didn’t escalate further, though. Dowan helped Kael to his feet, concern etched on his face.

  “Are you okay?” Dowan asked.

Kael nodded, suppressing his anger. I’ll make them pay. Just wait.

The bell rang again, marking the end of the school day. Without a word, Kael left for home alone, his thoughts consumed by revenge.

When he reached his room, he sat on his bed and opened the system screen. Words appeared before him:

"Your first training is as follows:

  0/100 pushups

  0/10 km running

  0/100 squats

  0/100 pullups

  0/100 punches

  Etc…"

Kael’s jaw dropped. “I think I’ll do this another day,” he muttered, ready to collapse onto his bed.

But as soon as he tried, a sharp jolt of electricity coursed through his body, leaving him writhing in pain. A warning flashed before his eyes:

"Warning: If not done, you will be electrified."

Kael groaned, annoyed and frustrated. “Fine, I’ll do it!” he shouted, grabbing his jacket and storming out to a nearby park.

The air was crisp, and the park was mostly empty. Kael began his training begrudgingly, starting with a slow run. His muscles burned with each step, and his mind wandered back to his current situation. I’ve really come back… but why?

Lost in thought, he didn’t notice someone ahead of him until it was too late. He collided with a figure, stumbling back.

Looking up, he saw her. Wide eyes, delicate features, and an aura of grace. For a moment, Kael forgot everything.

“Beautiful…” he whispered under his breath, the word escaping before he could stop it.

  "I am sorry, I didn't notice you,"the girl said,

  her voice soft and apologetic.

Kael stood frozen. He couldn't form a single word Infront of her delicate, and angelic voice. He opened his mouth to speak, but all that came out was a weak attempt.

"He... hey", he stammered barely audible.

It was as if something invisible held him back, refusing to let him utter a coherent sentence. The girl gave him a small, polite smile before rushing past him.kael stood rooted in place, unable to turn or stop her.

As her figure disappeared into the distance, kael clinched his fist in frustration."That's why you are single," he muttered bitterly, annoyed at himself.

Suddenly, electricity surged through his body again, making him stumble. The system's warning flashed before his eyes:

"Please do not stop your training."

"Alright, alright!" Kael shouted in frustration.

With no other choice, he pushed himself forward, resuming his run.

By the time kael finished his training, his body was aching, and exhaustion weighed him down. Still, he couldn't shake the encounter with the girl from his mind. As he made his way home, the quiet of the night was broken by a desperate cry.

  "Help me! Someone!"

Kael stopped in his track, his head snapping towards the direction of the voice. Without hesitation, he followed the sound and found himself in a dimly lit alleyway.

There, he saw five men surrounding a frightened women, their intentions clear and malecious. Anger flared in kael's chest.

"Hey, leave the girl alone!" Kael called out, his voice steady.

The men turned towards him, their expression wary at first, likely thinking it was the police. But upon seeing kael, their fear turned to amusement.

"Oh, it's just a kid," one of the men sneered."Hey, kid, go away if you don't want to get hurt."

Kael didn't move. His gaze was firm as he repeated, "Leave the girl alone."

Annoyed by kael's persistence, one of the men stepped forward, smirking, "Let me teach you a lesson."

As the man reached out to gran him, kael reacted instinctively. In a flash, his fist connected with the man's face, sending him flying into the wall of the alleyway. The man's body hit the side of the building with a sickening thud before crumpling on the ground.

The remaining men stared, stunned by the sudden display of strength. Their initial amusement replaced with frustration and anger.

"What the hell?!" one of the man shouted before all of them charged at him.

  Kael's system interface suddenly appeared:

  Name: KAEL

  Level: 5

  Strength: 90

  Agility: 90

  Intelligence: 90

  Endurance: 90

As the men lunged Kael prepared himself, his body fueled by the strength and skills he had yet to fully understand.
