Leon's POV: continuing.
I stopped to see the mysterious people at the door. Upon seeing the people at the door Mother walked excitedly to the mysterious people and hugged them passionately. The scene that was taking place in front of my eyes had made me confused. I mean, this was the first time I saw my mother being so friendly with strangers.
She usually spends her free time reading her books or taking care of Emily.... yeah, she's kind of an antisocial person.
"Aww. Welcome you guys! You're right on time!" Mother exclaimed, letting the strangers in the room.
Huh? Who are they? And why is Mother acting touchy with strangers? Father would not be happy with her... wait, one of those guys looks kind of familiar.
All sorts of thoughts ran through my mind at that moment, I was scared of their presence. The three people were wearing military uniforms, and the much bigger Man was wearing a suit.
Daniella, Sophie, and Jake came and stood next to me, and stared at the mysterious people alongside me. With the same look on their faces as I: a look of shock and disbelief.
"Who are they?" Daniella asked me, trying to get information about the mysterious people.
"I don't know them. Maybe they're mother's guests, I guess..." I responded to Daniella's question.
As the mysterious people walked up to us their figures became recognizable. They were my older siblings, who took the time out of their studies to come to Sophie and I's birthday party, and whom I hadn't seen for years.
"Here are the birthday boy and girl! Bye now please take care of them!" Mother said before skipping off with Dad, happily.
Leon's POV: ended.
Upon seeing the twins, Brandon hugged them passionately. He hadn't seen the twins in years, so he lost his mind at the sight of them.
"Aww! Happy birthday you guys. I know you've missed your big bro!" Brandon was acting like a child and rubbing the twin's head.
'You're acting like a child again, Brandon.' (James)
'That's Immature of the heir of the Blaze family fortune.' (Alexandra)
Both James and Alexandra were talking down to Brandon in their minds, watching him play with his younger siblings. Daniella and Jake couldn't help but laugh at the twins.
Seeing that, Sophie quickly released herself from Brandon's grip. Leaving Leon.
(Leon sighs)
'I gotta find a way to get out of Brandon's grip! Someone, please help me...'
The only thing that was on his mind was to get out of Brandon's grip. James had to separate Brandon and Leon.
Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
"Ahem! Happy birthday, lil bro, lil sis..... Here." James reached into his bag and took out two magical stones, a teddy bear, and a small sword.
He gave them one magical stone each, and he gave Sophie the teddy bear, and Leon took the small sword.
Even though James said that he didn't get the twins anything, he had the gifts in his bag all the time. Fooling Alexandra and Brandon. It was a successful plan, James came up with.
"What? I thought you didn't buy anything!" Alexandra suddenly said in shock.
"No fair, James. You tricked us!" Brandon grumbled.
Sarah, who was carrying baby Emily came to check up on Leon and Sophie. When Alexandra spotted the baby, she collected her from Sarah. Giving her some free time.
Thus the birthday party went on as Sophie, Daniella, Jake, and Leon played birthday games and enjoyed themselves. Until they couldn't anymore, it was late in the night so Sarah had decided to take the twins to their room.
And Daniella's parents allowed her to sleep over.
after Brandon went to his room, but upon entering his room he stopped. His face was filled with shock.
He couldn't believe his eyes. His room was filled with boxes and some other stuff, Brandon's room was unrecognizable to him.
"Haaah! What happened to my room?!" Brandon yelled out, causing his siblings to check up on him. Upon seeing what happened to Brandon's room, the others rushed to their rooms.
But their rooms were just like Brandon's – or even worse.
"Stepmom, what happened to our rooms?" They asked Sarah sternly.
"Sorry, I kinda put random stuff in your rooms...you know, since you guys don't spend time at home I had decided to use them as storage. I'm very much sorry!"
That night Brandon and James, And Alexandra slept in different rooms, close to their rooms. Leon and Sophie slept throughout the entire night.
"Hahaha.." (Stranger laughs)
The next day, early in the morning Brandon was chilling out on the balcony, catching some breeze and the sun from the early morning sun. he was thinking about the times he used to play in the yard.
'(Sighs) Soon I will take over the Territory of the family and I won't be doing anything fun... the challenges of being the leader of the Blaze family is going to be troubling.' (Brandon)
"What are you doing out here all alone, Brandon?" A voice asked him.
He turned around to face the person who asked him. It was his little brother James who'd come to check up on him, his face tinged with concern.
"Nothing. I was just deep in my thought, that's all," Brandon responded, his voice barely a whisper, turning back to the horizon.
"Did you rest up last night?" James asked, his eyes scanning Brandon's tired face. He noticed that Brandon was worried about something.
He remained silent, gazing at the horizon as the sun rose, ignoring James' question. His face had a troubled expression, but he tried to hide it.
"I said it's nothing, James!" Brandon snapped, his voice rising. But he quickly took a breath, forcing himself to calm down.
"It's just that..." He paused, letting the weight of his words sink in. "The challenges of becoming the next head of the Blaze family are weighing on me."
James approached his older brother, Brandon, standing beside him and placing a reassuring hand on his back.
"Please don’t worry about it, Brandon," he said, his voice soft yet steady. "You’re not alone. You have me, Alexandra, Father, our stepmother Sarah, and our younger siblings. When the time comes, we’ll all be here to help and guide you."
"Thanks a lot, James," Brandon said, wiping his nose as a small smile tugged at his lips. "You know, you're quite good at speeches. I might just make you my advisor!" He chuckled, his laughter light but genuine.
James smirked, crossing his arms. "Oh? So now you're offering me a job?"
Brandon let out a hearty laugh. "Why not? I could use someone to keep me from losing my mind."
James shook his head with an amused sigh. "Well, someone has to make sure you don’t mess everything up."
Brandon nudged him playfully. For the first time in a while, the weight on his shoulders felt just a little lighter.
They stood side by side, watching as the sun slowly rose, painting the sky in hues of gold and crimson. The gentle morning breeze carried their laughter and conversation, a rare moment of peace between brothers. As the world awakened around them, they knew that the challenges of the day lay ahead—but for now, they simply enjoyed each other’s company.
