Chapter Fifty-Seven: Unorthodox Move

  ♂?,,

A clever trick, although a bit unorthodox, allowed Liu Feng to gain the upper hand despite being at a disadvantage.

Under the heavy spear, with the addition of his physical strength, this one spear Liu Feng had already exhausted all his energy.

His enemy, at this moment, was already furious and had been splashed with a face full of mud. This kind of embarrassment for Xǔ Chǔ, the top-notch master, was even more humiliating than cutting off one of his arms.

In a fit of rage, the beast-like killing intent burst forth like a floodgate opening, surging out. His Adam's apple rolled like iron, and suddenly he let out a furious tiger roar.

That furious roar, like the rolling Yangtze River, poured into Liu Feng's eardrums, making his head dizzy and eyes blurred. Just as he lost his spirit for a moment, Xu Chu's elephant-nose knife had transformed into a curved blade, dragging mud and debris to block him horizontally.

  Pffft!

In the midst of a fierce battle, swords and spears clashed. A force of a thousand pounds came crashing down, the tiger's mouth burst open, fresh blood soaked the hilt of the spear, and the massive power that poured into his body from his arm was like an iron hammer ruthlessly pounding his internal organs, stirring up his five viscera and six bowels to churn and surge, with the rising blood and energy almost bursting out of his mouth.

Immediately afterwards, the heavy spear that was swung open by Xu Zhu's knife swayed back and forth on the horse's head, sweeping towards Liu Feng himself. He hastily raised his right hand to block it. Who would have thought that the remaining force of this powerful crossbow would still be astonishingly great? A wave of piercing pain invaded his nerves, and the tiger's mouth on his right hand was also shattered.

In a fit of rage, this knife had exhausted 100% of its power. He originally thought that one knife would be enough to cut down the little boy who dared to humiliate him, but after one knife, Xu Zhu's violently angry face actually revealed an unbelievable color.

That kid actually blocked it with brute force and didn't even spit out blood!

Xu Zhu felt humiliated once again, his entire body like a beast that had lost all reason, his thick arms as hard as iron pillars swung out once more, the second blade following closely behind, carrying with it a destructive fury that slashed straight at Liu Feng's neck.

Liu Feng should feel delighted, the same slash that nearly took his life at Changban Slope now only caused his blood to surge and churn, with internal injuries far milder than before. This proved that his diligent practice of martial arts over the past month had not been in vain, and also proved that Zhao Yun's evaluation of him as exceptionally talented was not idle talk.

Unfortunately, his growth was still far from enough. Xu Zhu's one knife had already made it difficult for him to hold on, and Liu Feng knew that if he continued to resist stubbornly like this, he would never be able to withstand Xu Zhu's five moves. In the end, he would still become just another unremarkable soul among the countless ones who had fallen under Xu Zhu's blade.

  Unless a miracle occurs

Thoughts were in turmoil, Xu Chu's second knife didn't give him any more time to think, the blade hadn't arrived, but the surging energy had already pressed Liu Feng to breathe heavily.

Suddenly, a strange idea flashed through his mind.

Without thinking much, Liu Feng quickly turned around and shifted his stance. He raised the heavy spear with his left hand to the left wing, the spearhead pointing downwards towards the ground. His five fingers relaxed, and the heavy spear slid down a few feet. The tiger palm of his bloody left hand tightly grasped the end of the spear handle.

This is a strange reception ceremony.

Faced with Xu Chu's crushing blow, one would think that even if it wasn't his hand, he would still want to use his foot, but Liu Feng actually used only one hand to hold the spear, and what's more, held it at the very end where there was no leverage.

Xu Chu didn't pay any attention to Liu Feng's strange moves, in his eyes, any resistance was a dying struggle in the face of his incredibly powerful blade.

A massive sword like a raging torrent, slashing down with abandon.

As a heavy metallic crash sounded, the left hand holding the gun was instantly bloodied and mangled, while the impact force transmitted into his body made his already churning abdomen feel like it was about to burst apart. Liu Feng could no longer hold back, opening his mouth to spew out a mouthful of blood arrows.

There was only one end with supporting force, the heavy gun. Under the impact of the giant force, a part below swung inward like a swing, and in a dull sound, it heavily hit the war horse's body under the crotch.

That poor warhorse, how could it withstand such a terrifying impact, the thick skin at the point of impact burst open, and the heavy spear was wedged three feet deep into its flesh. The warhorse let out a mournful whinny in extreme pain, its massive body unable to stand upright, and fell over to the right side.

"That despicable little brat, is he finally going to get what's coming to him?"

Watching the fallen warhorse and the enemy spitting blood, Xu Chu let out a long breath in his heart, thinking that everything had ended with this one knife.

At this moment, suddenly, a cold light flashed from Liu Feng's right side, cutting through a semicircular arc, and slashing straight at Xu Zhu's face.

Xu Zhu suddenly realized, only then did he understand why this little guy would use a single hand and such a strange move to meet the attack. It turned out that he had long planned to sacrifice his war horse under his crotch as a substitute for another arm as support, and with his right hand freed up in the process, he suddenly pulled out his sword and launched a sneak attack while Xu Zhu was distracted.

"You're a sly little thing, but unfortunately, this small trick won't fool me."

A sword came too quickly from a distance of just a few feet, and Xu Chu was unable to concentrate his strength to counterattack. Without thinking much, he hastily held up the elephant nose knife with his hand to block it.

Xu Chu thought that with Liu Feng's severe injury, this sneak attack sword would not have much power. He just needed to casually block the sword and then strike back with his knife, finishing off the young whelp in one move.

A cold light flashed before his eyes and did not bounce back as he had imagined with his own steel knife.

At the moment when the blades intersected, Xu Chu suddenly had a strange illusion, as if he saw a thin silver line flashing across his knife. What's even stranger was that this knife seemed to sink into the sea like a stone, as if the enemy's swing was not a sword, but an invisible wind.

Suddenly, Xu Chu's eyes, filled with bloodshot veins, opened wide as if they were about to split apart. In the reflection of his pupils, the elephant-nose knife that had followed him for half his life, traversing the world and drinking blood like a pool, unexpectedly and unbelievably snapped into two pieces!

Then, the silver thread suddenly surged into a white rainbow, carrying a fierce cold wind, and chopped towards Xu Zhu's head.

  "Green Sword!"

Xu Zhu let out a cry of surprise, his massive body dodging to the side with an agility akin to that of a monkey. The sword blade grazed past his right shoulder, narrowly avoiding a fatal blow, but the Qinglian Sword was too sharp, and as it passed by, it sliced off several scales from his armor.

After this sword was swept out, Liu Feng's mount had lost its balance, and Liu Feng couldn't care about whether he got his hands on it or not. With a burst of strength in both legs, he borrowed the momentum of the war horse's collapse to counterattack. His body flew backwards and fell heavily to the ground, with both feet sinking into the mud more than an inch deep. He hastily used his silver spear to prop himself up, barely managing to offset this powerful impact.

One hand propped up his gun, the other held a treasured sword across his chest. When Liu Feng raised his head, his gaze met Xu Chu's shocked and angry eyes.

"The Qingying treasure sword is actually in your hands, can Xiahou En be killed?" Xuzhu, empty-handed, glared at him and coldly asked.

Liu Feng wiped away the bloodstain from the corner of his mouth with the back of his hand and sneered: "So what if it is?"
