Chapter 77: That damned exposure!

"Kayrus?" The drunken man burst out laughing at the name, advancing on Cynthia with a step and reaching out to grab her shoulder. "He won't be showing up here, sweetheart."

Cynthia stood still, staring at the drunkard as he finished speaking, and then she flew backwards and heavily crashed into a wall.

The massive impact and deafening crash caused the entire wall to shake violently.

The drunkard directly knocked himself out.

Splinters of wood flew to Cynthia's feet as she watched Kael emerge from the dark fog, his black cloak billowing behind him, his long boots thudding against the floorboards.

Every step is pounding on the heart.

She leaned against the railing with no way out.

Could only watch as Karius came over.

He always appears in a heroic way of saving beauty.

This scene was so cool that it went straight into her heart.

"Kaius!" Cynthia called out again, her lips trembling.

The three fallen angels in the wine house downstairs came out after dealing with the offender, saw the two on the rooftop under the moonlight, and Anthony revealed a meaningful smile, "It seems we don't need to send her back."

"I'm going back to prepare the whip." Eber sighed.

Only Joe's eyes were filled with worry, "Will she be okay?"

Anthony glanced at her and sat on the carriage, "This is what Cynthia herself wants, adults can't bear to beat her."

Caius looked down at Cynthia with a cold expression on his refined face, "Apologize to me, Cynthia."

The heroic rescue beauty filter shattered in an instant, and it was a hard-boiled command tone all the way, even asking her to apologize was said so strongly.

Cynthia couldn't help but rush up to him and shout loudly, "What did I do wrong? Everyone including you wants me to apologize!"

She angrily threw away the empty wine glass in her hand, turned sideways and was about to walk around him, but she had only taken two steps when her wrist was grasped by a palm with a not-too-warm temperature, the force was so great that it almost crushed her bones.

Cynthia let out a pained grunt and had to stop in her tracks, looking up at him with anger.

"You will never learn to listen." Kael's voice was suppressed, trying to hold back his anger.

"I just wanted you to praise me, that's all, why are you being so disobedient!" She didn't care at all whether he was angry now or not, still shouting loudly and forcefully at him.

Kairos's red eyes flashed with annoyance, and he growled helplessly, "That damned exposure! What are you going to do?!"

The quarrel was frozen in this instant.

Cynthia was stunned and even forgot about the pain in her wrist, asking in confusion, "Isn't it because of ugliness?"

"No." He gritted his teeth in response.

"Why didn't you just say so." She gradually calmed down.

"Is it really that hard for you to follow orders?" Kael growled out between gritted teeth.

"It's not difficult, but that's what I deliberately wore for you to see. Besides, I didn't plan on going out anyway." Her voice weakened and she carefully turned her wrist around.

Kai Er's lips were pursed tightly, and for a moment, he didn't know what to say.

It was just because of her one sentence that the anxiety in my heart retreated like a tide, and an unimaginable joy surged in.

Seeing him calm down, the anger in his eyes also decreased a bit, Cynthia knew she should back down.

She didn't care about the wrist that was pinched, carefully walked to his front, leaned her head on his chest and said with grievance: "Can't you just speak directly, why do you have to be so roundabout?"

"Are you blaming me?" His tone softened, but he still didn't show any attitude of admitting his mistake.

"I was wrong, it's my fault." Cynthia pouted, "But you're also responsible, you can't excuse yourself. If you had just told me straightforwardly earlier, I wouldn't have gotten angry with you at all."

The man who was slammed against the wall by Kael woke up from a brief daze, spat out a mouthful of blood, fell to the ground, and lost all his intoxication, crying and begging for mercy.

And those people on the second floor, including the ones downstairs, had already run away in a flurry amidst the sound of their conversation.

Cynthia looked up, her chin resting on Kael's unchanging black shirt, gazing at the moonlight sprinkled on his pale white skin, a flawless and exquisite face that was truly perfect.

His tense face softened a bit as he met her warm and gentle apricot eyes, saying unnaturally: "Come back with me."

Cynthia's face broke into a smile, "Does this mean we're making up?"

  "I forgive your rudeness."

  Cynthia's smile froze.

"Let go, you're going to pinch off my wrist." She was getting angry again.

Kairos found it strange why her emotions switched so quickly, but still let go.

Cynthia's wrist was red all over, she shook her hand to make sure it wasn't fractured, then turned and walked downstairs.

"Xīn xī yà." Kǎi wò jǔ qíng le yǐ máo.

  Translation:

  "Cynthia." Caius frowned.

"I'll go back myself." She said without turning her head, stepping down the stairs, but just a few seconds after speaking, she regretted it.

Standing at the entrance of the stairs, Cynthia stared at the chaotic tavern, her pupils shrinking for a moment.

The runner had finished running, but she saw an unforgettable scene.

The person who had previously boasted that he would put the toe of his leather shoes into Karius' P-spot was now lying on the ground, half-paralyzed. One of his shoes had appeared in a private place, his pants were pulled down halfway, and the bloody scene brutally made her whole body tremble.

  Cynthia was shocked.

A hand covered her eyes, blocking out the cruel scene in front of her, and her slender back was tightly pressed against a chest with a hint of mint fragrance.

"What's with all this nonsense." The young man behind him said helplessly.

She finally let out a scream and turned around, shrinking into his arms, "I want to go home!"

She's going crazy, whether it's Anthony or Eber who did it, it's too damn perverted! How can they actually stuff shoes into the toilet?!

Kairos calmly wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her into a horizontal hug against his chest, lightly teasing, "Now you're scared."

  Divine Light Progress: 37%

Cynthia: She really wants to spit on him.

Compared to the person on the ground, she should be more afraid of Kael, but paradoxically, he can also give her a sense of explosive security.

Wrapped in his cloak, she felt herself being carried out of the tavern and lifted into mid-air.

The wind outside was strong, but Kael's body temperature was scorching hot.

As they reached the castle gates, Cynthia poked her head out of her cloak and fixed a stern gaze on Kael's prominent Adam's apple. "I forced Anthony and the others to come with me, you can't let them whip each other."

Kairos gave her a cold glance, "What about your own punishment?"

"You can do anything you want to me." Cynthia blinked and replied seriously, "Just don't bully Joe and them."
