Chapter 57: I believe that when adults are in a good mood, they can do whatever they want.

Some people who were secretly gathering information for the nobles saw this situation and were shocked, covering their mouths.

"She actually brought back the young lady who was rebuked by both the Vatican and the Imperial Court!"

  "Lord Kairus really spoils her."

Cynthia deliberately slowed down her pace and stepped on the green and neatly trimmed lawn all the way to the entrance of the small castle.

Inside the gate was a front hall used for receiving guests, and a servant hastily ran out to greet them.

Seeing Anthony and the two girls on his shoulders covered in blood, she let out a terrified cry and fell to her knees with a thud.

"Where's Jill?" Miss Cynthia brought back her two precious daughters. Anthony dropped the person like a piece of pork on the smooth wooden floor, making a dull sound.

"My lord had a bit too much to drink last night... He's still asleep." The servant replied cautiously, hunching his back, his eyes darting past Anthony to the Rhodanian noble behind him, his heart skipping a beat.

Cynthia found that many of the valuable decorations and murals were gone, even the carpet on the floor had been removed, leaving only bare wooden flooring.

Their home seemed to have been looted overnight.

"What's going on?" she asked with a hint of speculation and curiosity.

"Khazad-d?m's lord reclaimed his mines." Anton said with a nonchalant expression: "The two mines where Gill did business with the dwarves, were initially discovered by the lord, he is the owner."

Isn't this the plot of a domineering president?

Cynthia had seen this kind of script before, where the female lead would cause someone's family to be ruined overnight.

She imagined Kais wearing a suit and pointing at the scenery with an air of elegance, and suppressed her smile.

  It's not bad at all.

"No wonder there are no more guards outside, he has no income and cannot afford such extravagant expenses."

"Smiling, Anthony replied, 'This estate will soon be mortgaged out. The wages of the craftsmen, gardeners and servants, as well as various maintenance expenses for the house, are a heavy burden.'"

"Are you still satisfied with this result?" he asked with a smile.

This woke Cynthia up, she stood in front of the arched window, looking through the glass at the fragmented sunlight on the lake in the distance, narrowing her eyes, "Of course I'm satisfied, but I also want to buy this place down, do you think Kayser will be unhappy?"

"I believe that when adults are in a good mood, they can do whatever they want."

Cynthia's smile was a bit stiff, she seemed to rarely see him in a good mood, or rather the most she saw on that sculpted face of his was anger.

  What a mess...

The servant watched them discussing the ownership of the house as if no one was around, silently memorizing this matter and couldn't help but speak out, "I'll go wake up Lord Gill."

"It's all right." Cynthia shifted her gaze back to the two girls who were lying unconscious on the floor, saying in a warm tone: "Let Jill hurry up and find the apothecary, and tell him that if he can't afford to live in this mansion anymore, I'd be happy to buy it from him."

"I will tell him exactly as it is."

Cynthia expressed her gratitude, and the servants, who were afraid, quickly bowed their heads almost to the floor.

By tomorrow, the news that she wants to acquire Jill Manor will spread throughout DC, and I believe that even if Jill wants to sell it to others, no one dares to take this hot potato.

No one should dare to provoke her anymore, just look at the miserable end of this unlucky lord.

Cynthia elegantly sat up in the carriage and smoothed out her skirt, earning a murmur of admiration from Antony. "You're not clumsy at all."

Cynthia patted the red ribbon beside her and innocently winked at him, "Now we should go to the tailor's shop."

"I'll take you to the best tailor in town, they have excellent service." Anthony helped her close the car door.

The car left Gil's estate, and what happened here was spread out along with it.

Jill was awakened by the maid in J-female's chest. Under the double blow of losing her daughter and career, she vented all her anger on the woman.

After hearing the servant's explanation, Jill hastily went downstairs and saw her daughter being "intact" sent back, and instantly collapsed to the ground.

"What an inhuman Khaos!!" He shouted angrily towards the ceiling.

The woman wrapped in a thin blanket heard his angry words in her ears.

The Dark Vatican halted all selection activities related to the Holy Maidens, and due to Khaos' wrath, it directly became a taboo topic. Also because of Eriol's incident, all Holy Maiden candidates were hidden by their families, even their attire was carefully chosen to avoid black colors.

In the cubicle of a tailor's shop, Cynthia was discussing the style of clothes with a beautiful and clever merchant, chatting to learn that this new result was very happy.

  Her efforts were all worthwhile.

Of course, this cannot be done without Kael's arrogant personality who dislikes being controlled, if he were a promiscuous person, her efforts would have been in vain.

"As for Cynthia's beauty, the elf with a flowing silver hair gave a full affirmation. 'You are really beautiful, especially these lovely eyes. I have many colored veils here, you can add them to red.'"

Cynthia chose a simple one-shoulder red puffy dress from the catalog, "Please use black lace trim on the neckline, add a layer of black tulle to the hem of the red skirt, and it would be best if some small but not too expensive gemstones were embedded on top."

"Lord Kayrus likes black," said the elf with a pert remark.

Cynthia smiled, picked up the tea filled with floral scent on the table and took a sip before asking unintentionally, "Why do you all like to run to Temolia? Don't you have your own land?"

"Convenient transaction, yeah, there aren't that many good things in the forest, and the people of Temolia are quite interesting." The elf said matter-of-factly.

She seemed to know what Cynthia was going to ask and added a sentence, "We also wanted to go to Rheda in the past, but the people there didn't welcome us."

"You know, since the Light God disappeared they've been full of schemes and suspicions, we don't want their territory." The elf redrew the determined style on the draft paper with charcoal and handed it to Cynthia for confirmation, "Of course I'm not talking about you, see how this is."

The elves seem to have no concept of faith in gods, and they are indifferent to whether they believe in the dark god or the light god.

It was roughly between two gods that she wavered, and it was her hatred of the Dark God that led Rhedynia to refuse them.

Cynthia wanted to ask about their previous divine wars and whether they had also participated, but after thinking about it, she decided to slow down for now.

"Very pretty, Anthony was right, you are the best tailor in DC." She finalized the final draft with genuine praise.
