Chapter 50: This time it wasnt a corpse, I let them live

Her footsteps stepped only in the light, and she walked in very carefully.

A stifling atmosphere, with a faint smell of blood.

As soon as she smelled this smell, her heart began to thump and speed up.

Inside wasn't empty, there were two crosses hung side by side on the wall, and two people hung upside down from them.

Cynthia's eyes suddenly widened, and her hand holding the oil lamp almost shook.

She took a step back quickly with one hand on her chest, and the terrifying scene in front of her was something she had been prepared for but still beyond her imagination.

I thought it was because of the poor drainage system underground that caused water leakage, so there were constant dripping sounds coming out.

But it didn't come from the leak, but from two women on the cross.

Yesterday just saw, should be bright and beautiful Elisa and Elena.

It actually appeared at the bottom of the castle!

They were shaved bald and nailed to a cross with their mouths sewn shut.

No, it wasn't sewn shut, but rather seemed to be sealed with some sort of dark magic, directly fusing their sensual and beautiful lips together into a thick, flesh-colored scar.

Their limbs were nailed to the cross, and blood kept flowing from their pierced palms and soles, dripping onto the ground along with the apple wood.

  Tick-tock, tick-tock.

Cynthia pressed her hand tightly against her chest, the smell of blood in the air making her nauseous several times.

Was Kael's gift supposed to be giving these sisters to her?

She knew she had to get used to his way of doing things, and in a sense he was venting on her behalf.

She knew Kael was cruel, had always known.

But this excessively cruel way of venting her emotions left her, a pacifist, gasping for air.

The fear that has been simmering from within cannot be suppressed no matter what.

Alicia, suspended on the cross, had blood rushing to her brain, causing her eyes to bulge, and even the tears streaming from them were tinged with red. She let out a plaintive whimper towards Cynthia, trying to tell her that she was wrong.

And beside Elisa, Elena had already fainted.

What awaits them is either death from bleeding out or starvation due to having no mouth.

She wanted to leave, to get out of this haunted place as soon as possible, but her feet were nailed to the ground and couldn't budge an inch.

Cynthia certainly saw Elisa's prayer, only she herself was afraid of her own miserable appearance.

She struggled to lift a limp leg and took a step back.

After her feet landed on solid ground, she repeated this action until her back bumped against a broad chest.

The fragrance of mint is entering the nostrils.

Cynthia stopped in her tracks, the oil lamp in her hand clattering to the ground, where it instantly ignited a flame that licked at the stone floor and nearly caught the hem of her skirt.

Kai'erus raised an eyebrow, pulling her back a step, his cool voice laced with mockery yet tinged with a hint of concern, "Can't even hold a lantern properly?"

Who made him appear like a ghost behind me!

The minty scent on Kael's body always calmed Cynthia down, but the source of her fear and anxiety was him.

This contradictory entanglement left her speechless for a moment, staring straight at the high flames that had risen.

  Cynthia.

Caius's tone sank down without getting a response.

Cynthia still clutched the thin piece of clothing at her chest, trying to make her voice sound calmer as she began to respond, "Anthony said... this is a gift you gave me."

Caius looked at the two naked women nailed to the cross with an expressionless face, his straight eyes without any emotion, "Is that what he said?"

"It's barely enough." He answered himself and hung his head down, keenly noticing that her face was a bit pale, and then wondered: "Why are you afraid again? This time it wasn't a corpse, I let them live."

In the second half of the sentence, he deliberately raised his tone, with a somewhat sharp voice emphasizing.

He thought she was afraid of those gruesome corpses, so he changed to an even more perverted way, thinking that she would not be afraid and would be happy?

"No one would be happy to see... such a scene." Cynthia turned around, staring at Kael's chest. He was no longer wearing black today, but a dark red luxurious long shirt with a brown wide coat on the outside, adorned with a row of golden buttons.

She forcibly shifted her attention to his outfit and then looked up at his face.

It has to be said that the appearance of gods always has an irresistible temptation to humans.

His face was too beautiful and delicate, always giving her a godly feeling, but in fact he was deeply hellish and would drag her down at any time.

"So you're not satisfied again." He said it very calmly, but the anger on his body was in stark contrast to what he expressed.

"No." Cynthia couldn't help but grab his coat, her face twisted in distaste as she said, "Can we go out and talk? The whole house reeks of blood, I'm about to lose it."

The blood flowing together and converging in the house, that thick iron rust smell was simply on par with the stench of the execution ground.

Her face was really ugly, Kael's lips were tightly pursed, and he pulled her hand down without saying a word, dragging her out.

Alisha was still making painful and pleading whimpers from behind.

The only oil lamp was gone, and Cynthia had to walk on the ground in order to see the light, she was pulled so that she couldn't see the dark road at all.

Kaylus walked very quickly, her heel caught on a step, and she let out a cry as she was about to tumble forward.

Of course she didn't really fall onto the stairs and break apart, a large hand easily scooped her waist and pulled her back.

"Don't always act like a waste." Kael's eyes drooped as he pulled the person into his chest.

"I was a useless thing in front of you anyway." Cynthia muttered with an unpleasant expression, but her hands obediently grasped his arm, "I couldn't see anything."

Caius's expression was inexplicable, but he didn't refuse her rude behavior, and his footsteps slowed down as he walked with her.

Cynthia felt like she was going to suffocate, and after her vision cleared up again, she let go of Kael's arm, hastily lifted her skirt and said, "I'll just go outside for a bit, you don't come out, just wait here for me."

No matter what Kairus was thinking, she tried to suppress the nausea that had already risen to her throat and rushed to a corner of the outer wall with a small face.

Cynthia could no longer control the turmoil in her stomach and threw up all of today's lunch.

Alicia's miserable state and that thick bloody smell brought her too much physical discomfort.

She needs to let herself vent.

Kairos took only two steps before appearing at the gate, staring at that small back vomiting in the corner of the wall. The emotions in his eyes were thicker than the black night, and the expression on his snow-white delicate face was not good either.
