Qin Zhi Ai didn't know how long she had been staring blankly at the envelope, until she came back to her senses and saw that the sky outside the window was already pitch black.

  She casually threw the envelope into the drawer of her dresser and went downstairs.

  Qin Zhi Ai walked into the dining hall, not expecting Gu Yu Sheng to still be sitting at the dinner table eating his late dinner. He heard the noise and raised an eyebrow, glancing at her briefly, but his expression didn't change in the slightest, as if she didn't exist at all. He lowered his head again, continuing to hold his bowl with one hand and scroll through his phone screen with the other, reading the news.

  "Miss, what would you like to eat?" The housekeeper pulled out the chair opposite Gu Yusheng. "Will you have noodles like Mr. Gu or rice?"

  It had been three months since she moved into Gu Yu Sheng's villa, and apart from the first dinner they had together at the old Gu residence, Qin Zhi Ai and Gu Yu Sheng hadn't sat down to eat together. She paused for a moment before walking over to her chair and sitting down, softly saying to the butler, "Rice."

  "Alright, miss." The housekeeper responded and quickly served Qin Zhi'ai a bowl of rice.

  Qin Zhi'ai said a soft "thank you", picked up her chopsticks, slightly lowered her head, and started eating.

  The restaurant was very quiet, except for the occasional sound of chopsticks touching plates, there was no other movement.

  When Qin Zhi'ai arrived, there was not much soup left in Gu Yu's bowl. He stared at the phone screen for a moment, then raised his head and drank it all in one gulp, before putting down the bowl and standing up to leave.

  Perhaps it was because she had eaten too much at noon, or perhaps it was because of Gu Yu's presence, Qin Zhi Ai didn't have any appetite. She sat alone in front of a large dining table, forcing herself to eat half a bowl of rice before putting down her chopsticks.

  She didn't get up in a hurry, sat on the dining chair for a while, and asked in a low voice when the butler came in: "He... what is he doing?"

  She originally wanted to ask if he had left, but the words reached her lips and she realized it was inappropriate, so she changed them.

  "Is sir watching TV in the living room?"

  Upon hearing Guan's response, Qin Zhi'ai's expression remained calm as she uttered a soft "oh", and didn't say anything else. However, her heart began to feel slightly apprehensive.

  She sat in the restaurant for a while longer before suppressing the turmoil in her heart and walking out of the restaurant.

  Gu Yu Sheng sat in the middle of the sofa, with his feet up, watching the Olympics which were currently being broadcast.

  The TV was broadcasting a table tennis match, and he had turned down the volume very low, with occasional bursts of applause from the audience.

  Gu Yu Sheng was probably too engrossed in watching the game and didn't notice Qin Zhi Ai coming out of the restaurant.

  Qin Zhi Ai stood a short distance away, staring at him for a while, and found that he still showed no signs of leaving, so she tilted her head and glanced at the grandfather clock on one side.

  It's already past nine o'clock, and he still hasn't left. Could it be that... he plans to stay overnight at home tonight?

  The room she lives in is his master bedroom... so if he sleeps at home tonight, then she has to sleep with him on the same bed in the same room?
