The situation escalated

Detective Elvin sat in his chair, exhausted, with a cup of coffee in hand.

It's been 20 years since I've worked so hard, and it's all because of that despicable partner of mine. The young man is working really hard, dragging this old guy around like crazy for the whole day.

Partner Kyle Garrick emerged from the supervisor's office looking rather disheveled.

The detective smiled unexpectedly and said, "Enjoy reporting?"

Partner indignantly said: "I don't understand, this is obviously a criminal group that abducts and sells women, why are we focusing on a murderer! The kidnapping of the young girl by Clone Lily is just a cover-up!"

The detective patted his shoulder and sighed:

"As someone who's been through it, I've got to tell you a few things. First of all: something this big happens, have you seen even one sentence about it online or in the news? This isn't something that can be covered up by the state government."

Besides, you know what Roland's boss had already figured out. But it was clear that he didn't care about the crime syndicate at all, and instead made it clear that all the troubles were caused by the gangsters. Got it? Someone gave a clear order: take down the gang! The casualties are just a bit more than expected."

Partner concentrated on thinking without speaking, at this time the supervisor came over and convened a work briefing.

Next to them was Sandra, the leader of the first group of investigators. She was a very capable-looking woman with a professional suit that couldn't hide her sharp temperament, sitting up straight.

Rolando nodded for her to go first.

"We have retrieved all the surveillance footage from every street in the community. Most of it was intentionally damaged by the protesters, and except for a few blurry images, we have nothing so far. We are now visiting private surveillance to see if there is any gain."

The second group was led by Ovale, a stout middle-aged white man who interviewed eyewitnesses.

"The whole community is either some poor people and vagrants or prospective members of gangs. They are very hostile to us."

It was the detective's turn to speak, but instead his partner spoke up.

"Among the 26 rescued women, only 7 are conscious and able to communicate normally. However, they were either injected with drugs or locked in cages at the time of the incident, and none of them saw the suspect's face."

At this time, the person in charge threw one by one the documents reported by everyone on the table.

"Can you only determine that the murderer is a 2-meter-tall, axe-wielding yellow-skinned person? After being busy for 30 hours, this is the only result from all of you elites, right?"

"Sandra! The blurry surveillance footage you provided shows the suspect running at a speed of almost 90 kilometers per hour? Where did you get the courage to submit such a lead?"

The file was slammed heavily on the table, just about to scold a few more sentences, but this was when the meeting room door was knocked, and an office worker poked his head in, looking at the supervisor.

Everyone's mind was clear, it must be that the superior had called to inform them, otherwise it wouldn't have come at this time to disturb them. The person in charge quickly left, and a room of over ten people looked at each other in dismay. It wasn't that they weren't making an effort, but rather that this impoverished community was originally difficult to manage cases in, not only lacking the necessary equipment, but also facing hostility. It required slow and careful handling, and under urgent circumstances it was hard to achieve any results.

The boss didn't pull down the blinds in his office, so everyone could clearly see him repeatedly nodding and bowing, definitely getting scolded!

Not long after, the boss came back and directly said:

"This son of a bitch struck again last night! Ran to the nightclub in the neighboring city and brutally killed 8 people. Sandra! Retrieve surveillance footage from a wider range, I don't need such blurry photos! Also retrieve all civilian surveillance, we have already obtained the highest authorization from the government."

"You're all the same! Authorized to use every means possible. Even intimidation and deception are fine! Get information out of these scoundrels' mouths, I'll take full responsibility for any consequences!"

"Finish looking at the detective: "Can't stop asking about the victim, send someone to continue! The little girl who was just rescued saw the murderer intact and is on her way. Let the portrait artist get ready."

The partner wanted to say something but was stopped by the detective. The meeting dispersed and everyone went about their duties.

A female police officer who was extremely good at comforting emotions sat gently with Aria and patiently guided her.

"Aria, can you tell me what the person who saved you looks like? We can properly thank him and give him a medal."

Detective Eliwen curled his lip in disdain. A group of people actually expected to crack the case by deceiving a child.

Rolando and others stared at the monitor anxiously waiting. Until the female police officer made a gesture, a specially selected female portrait artist entered and began to make a sketch of the criminal.

At this time, an investigator came over and handed a document to the director with some hesitation: "Through civilian surveillance comparison, the technical department confirmed that the suspect's running speed reached 90 kilometers per hour."

Just as the director was about to throw the document in his face, the sketch was completed. Hurriedly taking it into his hands, Director Roland's face turned gloomy, his whole body trembling, he slammed the drawing board to the ground and stormed out of the room.

The sketch artist was very dissatisfied: "This is strictly drawn according to what the victim said!"

Everyone picked up the painting board, and saw that the person in the painting had shoulder-length hair, a full beard, and eyes filled with compassion and serenity - Jesus Christ!

The detective almost burst out laughing. This is a portrait of Jesus, isn't it? It's exactly the same as the one in church. The little girl thought that God saved her, or was the person who saved her God?

Ambassador Leyner sat in the back seat of his special car, looking down at the crowd holding slogans along the road. Yellow-skinned monkeys with yellow skin and thin muscles, who can't even eat enough food, where do they have the leisure to pay attention to the general election? And besides, a devil was elected from a pile of garbage.

This country is also ridiculous, thinking it can play both sides against each other between two major powers.

Entering the luxurious and elegant mansion, the surrounding blooming flowers could not dispel the cold and dead atmosphere. Laina felt that this place made him sick.

He soon saw the beautiful and picturesque owner of the manor, who personally poured a cup of red tea for Laina. The ambassador didn't even touch the teacup. Frowning and staring at the young man for a while, he said bluntly:

"Ruan He Ping, I won't waste everyone's time. Our country has lost patience with your father. Whether it's Xia Guo or Xing Meng Guo, you can't have the benefits of both sides. It's time to take a stand. In three days, all media in this country will play your father and son's little hobby."

Ruan He Ping was about to say something when the ambassador interrupted him:

"Stop those useless and nauseating remarks. I know what you want to say, exposing everyone's fate is it? Right now an F18 is on standby on the aircraft carrier, just 10 minutes away from flying over your head and launching a missile. But I still personally came to see you face-to-face, this is enough to show my sincerity. Countless parties have expressed their intention to surrender, I think you also understand in your heart. Good luck, please respond to me as soon as possible!"

The ambassador left without looking back, and Ruan Ping's narrow eyes were wide with anger.

He arrived at the painting studio, and the housekeeper said that the "goods" had not been delivered yet. Suddenly, a fierce noise came from inside the studio, and all the objects were smashed to pieces.
