One thing Ripple can't stand is being in a small space. The hammocks they slept in were in a small space, but it was a comfortable small space. She was familiar with it, and it always smelled like her siblings. This cell, however, was anything but comfortable. Stone floors, stone ceilings, and awfully bright water surrounded them. It hummed quietly, and there was the occasional sound of something moving through the water. The only other dragons in the cell block were her hybrid companions, and the SeaWing siblings were nowhere they could reach. The water around them blocked them from seeing anything further, so the only communication she had with the others that were there was vocal.
When they were first thrown into the cell, she could see the other three hybrids join her, all in their own cell. Except for Lichen and Melt, who had to share one. From what Ripple knew about Lichen and Melt from growing up was a bit complicated. She knew they liked each other, but it was something like a… messy relationship. She could tell they would be trouble, especially if they thought nobody could hear them.

"Is everyone okay?" Ripple called out after the guards had left. Weed was murmuring to himself, as per usual.
"I am," Melt responded. Ripple could tell he was angry, but she knew he must be exhausted. The guards had tried to torture him for information on the flight to the prison, and they ended up "accidentally" electrocuting him when they activated the shiny water.
"You get some good sleep, okay Melt?" Ripple said.
"I'll try…" Melt murmured.
There was no use trying to talk to Weed or Lichen. Weed is usually non-verbal in stressful situations, and Lichen is eternally distracted by the intimidating hunk of a firstborn hybrid. The best thing Ripple could do was think, since that would be an easy way to calm her down. It took a while, but she was able to relax enough to fall asleep.
