In the forest a few lit campfire can be seen and middle of it two young people sat on fallen log while chatting, "Right? The mask guy purpose was something like an item, I mean he's clearly looking every drawer in the room."

  Jade who pretending to listen respond, "Aha then?" While he thought, "We'll probably reach the next town in three days before arriving at the Kingdom of Gold, the skill that I got from previous town seem useful for something but I still don't have any combat skill what a pain."

  Jade closed the screen and drink water from his leather bag canteen.

  "I really want to repay him you know he's like a prince from the book, if he really doesn't want any money then the only way I could think of paying him is by having him marry me." Said by the flushed red haired girl who's nodding to herself.

  Jade who's still drinking water choked on it and drop the lether bag then looked at the girl who's lost in her own imagination.

  Even though he saved the girl and didn't expect any kind of rewards. It still a trouble for him to appear openly since that'll only bring unnecessary attention.

  "Hey Rose, you should stop making your own decision it'll only lead to the guy hating you."

  "I supposed that's true but I still want to repay him regardless the price."

  Feeling a bit of relief because he saved himself a trouble. Looking around he saw many soldiers camping around them while they're in the middle of the camp.

  "Now that I noticed why do you have so many soldiers anyway? Are you planning to hunt some monsters or something?"

  Rose who's poking the fire with stick she found somewhere replied, "It's just my parents are overprotective saying that its for my safety but those punks still managed to kidnapped me."

  While she's roaming the town with her supposed to be bodyguards. A explosion occur nearby that the kidnapper used to distracted the guards and successfully kidnapped her.

  "I'm still pissed about those idiots guards, when I get back my parents will sure going to prepared a hell of punishment."

  Jade thought while nodding at Rose.

  The punishment are probably not that bad since she's alive but if not that's different story. If something worse happened they'll get send into the underground prison where they'll tortured till they're dead.

  ~Ringing....

  Inside of Rose carriage the water melon size transparent orb lay silently in basket with red towel beneath it. But suddenly it starting glowing blue and the constantly ringing was heard by coarchman who's guarding the carriage.

  "Young master Rose, the Duke is calling."

  Taking the glowing orb from coachman hands Rose lay it between her thighs. After she touched it with ring on her index finger the orb slowly forming a blurry figure but it got clearer after few seconds.

  "Rose, you need to be careful on your way to kingdom." Said by man voice with worried tone.

  Rose question the man with serious tone, "What happened Father?" Rose immediately asked her Father since the only reason her Father called her without any greetings that there's must be something serious happenings in the kingdom right now.

  "I received a report that a corrupted managed to climb the humanity great wall this noon and people who encounter it are sliced into multiple pieces while their heads are still missing. The entire kingdom is now on high alert and trying to find the corrupted. So please be careful on your way and if you happened to see it contact me immediately and don't tried to get its attention."

  Jade who's listening frowned slightly.

  From what he remember there's no corrupted that can climb the 60 meters tall wall unless it's a flying corrupted.

  'If it's a flying corrupted then it can be seen easily but if not what's it?"

  Images of different corrupted animals crossed Jade's mind but he can't correctly guests it.

  "You too Father be careful."

  The two red haired family say goodbye to each other. After the called ended nothing much happened. Both parties decided to sleep while some of the knights guard the camp.

  Early in the morning...

  Both of the carriage drove once again after having breakfast but before they leave Rose suggested that Jade accompany her in carriage while Jade's carriage followed behind in which both the coachmans agreed.

  Because of the sudden news that a corrupted entered the kingdom both carriage knights are anxious and on high alert throughout the travel.

  Sunset arrived

  The first carriage carrying Rose and Jade suddenly came to a halt which made both of them slide a little and loose balance.

  Rose and Jade stepped outside of carriage and looked at the distance where knights also staring at.

  Not far away from carriage a destroyed wagon and sliced up body parts scattered across the stone vehicle pathway. And a two meters black figure holding an oval shape object and munching on it with its sharp scythe hands into its two headed mouth.

  Jade looking at figured his eyes widened.

  "That's... Corrupted Mantis....."

  Upon closer looked the black oily colour two headed Mantis have a two combined scythe making looked like a scissor on both side looking like crab pincer but with extended pointy edge. It also have six thick legs that function like a springs hopping tool.

  Rose who's also staring at figured noticed the oval shape object it's munching on and she's terrified when she realized what it was.

  "It's a.... PERSON HEAD!"

  The oval shape object revealed itself with the helped of sun last light before it goes down.

  An opened head of a person with its half eaten brain and crimson's blood dripping from the person's neck indicating it's fresh.

  "Fucked..... What a timing.."

  Sweating Jade first thought was to run as fast as possible but even with the helped of full sprinting horse that thing can leap much faster than the horse kicked the grounds.

  "Guys DON'T MOVE that thing reacts on sudden movements."

  The knights didn't questions the boy and followed the boy's ordered.

  Jade looked at nervous Rose, "Rose slowly get inside of carriage and contact your Father also stayed there until the helped arrived."

  Rose nodded followed Jade instructions and managed to entered the carriage and quickly contact her father.

  After making sure Rose entered the carriage he closed the carriage door and slowly approach the carriage front where two horses tied onto the carriage. He take out his hidden dagger from his waist and cut the ropes tying the horses to let them fled. After successfully cutting the rope Jade looked at his coachman signaling him to do the same.

  Both Jade and his coachman hit both of the horses to run. The horses sensing the danger at front decided to fled at the nearby forest.

  The Mantis despite its blurred visions noticed the horses movements and begun preparing to chase it. The grounds beneath the Mantis legs formed a cracked with a strong pressure from the Mantis thick legs a sound was created and heard by people who's watching the Mantis.

  The Mantis leap into forest leaving the cracked stone pathway and a sound breaking barrier making people wanting to covered thier ears.

  Rose stepping outside of carriage while still trembling from horror she saw earlier, "I..... Already tell Father that we encounter the Corrupted and he's already on his way to personally escort us back to kingdom."

  Jade lean onto the carriage wheel to rest.

  "Fortunately that Mantis vision are terrible otherwise we're deads haha.......ha."

  Rose accompany Jade and sat next to him then she placed her head on his shoulder but Jade didn't seem to mind or he's just mentally tired and didn't care about things.

  The knights breathing heavily almost having a panic attack while the maid passed out but Rose coachman managed to catch her before she fell down.

  Now the only thing they can do right now is wait for the Duke arrival.
