Chapter Fifty-Four: Stealing the Master

I've been suspicious of Hua Rou since the corpse was moved from the pillar. Although she has helped him many times on this journey, making it hard for him to discern her true nature, his inner guard is difficult to put down.

  He can't get down.

Having seen too much hypocrisy and betrayal, he had become so wary that it was impossible for him to trust anyone.

Especially Hua Rou's enthusiasm for him, the connection that was evident everywhere, made him instinctively suspect that she had ulterior motives - the passion and kindness he encountered were always with a purpose and long-planned.

But after he found out that Hua Rou was really poisoned and hadn't lied to him; when he saw her being bullied everywhere; seeing her unyielding and stubborn eyes, he began to think of a possibility:

  Hua Rou is innocent.

But if so, why did she move the corpse of Zhu Zi?

Longing for you, I was muttering to myself in my heart, suddenly aware that someone was approaching, and immediately leapt up and hid behind a tree on the other side of the bamboo forest.

Before long, a Tangmen disciple came from afar. I swept my gaze over the person's waistband and saw the blood drop pattern, knowing that this was a disciple of the Soul Snatcher Chamber.

This brother, should have just finished practicing his skills, his whole body was sweating and he was cooling down by unbuttoning his collar while wiping the sweat with a towel.

When he wiped his sweat with a towel from his neck, a cold light flashed in Mu Jun's eyes!

  Tattoo! Azalea tattoo!

I stood at the treetop, staring incredulously at the half-exposed tattoo of a peony on that disciple's neck, memories of the assassin's tattoos kept surfacing in my mind.

Your Majesty's eyebrows are even more high and arrogant, and in your eyes, apart from the coldness, there is also unease: it turns out that the assassin was a person from the Tang Gate, or even the Soul-Taking House... But why do they want to kill me?

The silk handkerchief flashed through my mind.

What they said was that I came to the Tang Sect to avoid disaster, but in fact it was to let me voluntarily jump into the net. But if so, why didn't the people of the Tang Sect take action to kill me?

Just as Mu Jun was shocked and worried, Hua Rou, who had tried again in the bamboo forest but to no avail, slapped the bamboo trunk in frustration.

"Why am I so stupid! So stupid! So stupid!"

She was angry with herself for being foolish; she was vexed with herself for being useless; if she couldn't become strong, all that awaited her was to be bullied by others.

Tang Liu usually talks a lot on ordinary days, but at this moment, he couldn't say a word as he looked at Hua Rou helplessly.

"Aren't you saying that there's nothing in the Tang Sect that I don't know? Then tell me, am I the stupidest disciple in the Tang Sect?" Huā Róu's voice was filled with disappointment and despair.

Tang Liu shook his head and waved his hand: "That's definitely not it, you're already an inner disciple, those stupid ones are still in the outer sect! And I heard that in the past, there was a disciple of the Tang Sect who was so stupid that he got trapped by his own mechanism and couldn't get out no matter what!"

Hua Rong stood there in a daze, and after a few seconds, she looked at Tang Liu with tears of laughter: "Are you sure that's stupid?"

  "Isn't it?"

Facing Tang Liu's counter-question, Hua Rou sighed and walked out of the bamboo forest with her head down.

"Ah! Ah……” Tang Liu'er saw her leaving and hurriedly called out to stop her, but Hua Rou didn't hear him, only walking forward with her head down. She quickly walked away, leaving Tang Liu'er scratching his head and muttering: "Isn't the person who trapped herself stupid?"

Hua Hui returned to her poisonous house, and after entering the room, she fell asleep as soon as she lay down. She slept soundly for a whole day and woke up to find it was already the second day.

It was unclear whether it was sleep that had dispelled her melancholy or if she was naturally optimistic, but as soon as she woke up, the gloominess was gone. After finishing sweeping the yard, she picked up her wooden sword and began practicing in the courtyard.

The moves were still unsmooth and lacked rhythm.

She couldn't practice smoothly, so she took out the scroll to look at it. She wanted to follow the example, but no matter how she tried, she just couldn't get the hang of it.

In the ear house, Mu Jun stood silently in front of the window, watching her with an unpredictable expression.

For a whole morning, Hua Rou made no progress and got so angry that she bumped her head against the pillar several times. Mu Junwu still stood by the window, watching her silently.

In the afternoon, Ziqi and Zihua noticed Mukunwu standing in front of the window. It seemed like she was trying to show off, so they started waving at each other in the courtyard.

He had no interest in watching the performance of the twin sisters, so he returned to his desk, lowered his head and began to copy down useful parts from the book, ignoring the commotion outside that was causing people to shout in surprise.

After copying seven or eight pages, he inadvertently raised his head while exercising his neck and was surprised to find Hua Rou hugging a broom under the corridor as if sweeping.

I gazed at you intently for a moment, and a hint of a smile curled up at the corner of your mouth.

Sweeping? No! Hua Rou is not sweeping at all, she's stealing the master's skills!

She seemed to be sweeping, but in fact she was watching how the two sisters were interacting, and the marks left by her broom on the ground were clearly imitative, yet she still didn't get the point.

  She is actually kind-hearted.

Longing for you, I put down the pen in my hand and deliberately stood by the window.

Zi Qi Zi, who was already tired and ready to close the stall, saw the situation and immediately exerted himself again. His soft scolding and tender shouting were also melodious, but unfortunately, Mu Jun seemed to be watching their match, but his eyes were always on Hua Rou's body, never moving away.

One day, two days, three days...

Every day, Mu Junwu would act as the audience, and get Zi Qi to perform frequently, while Hua Rou hid aside, comparing and comparing again.

If Ziqi was too tired to move, Huajou would sneak a peek at Lianlian sitting cross-legged on the veranda, and then retreat to the corridor to imitate her. However, while Lianlian had actually cultivated her energy, Huajou just sat there for half a day without understanding anything.

This morning, Hua Rou was sweeping the floor when her broom suddenly began to move on its own and started making wild strokes.

Mu Jun looked at it for a moment in the house, closed the book, stretched out his hand to pick up the copied paper, and then pulled the door and walked out.

Mo Jun stopped five steps in front of Hua Rou, who was still lost in her own thoughts and hadn't noticed.

I put down the paper and book, stretched out my hand to break off a twig from the tree beside me, plucked off a leaf, and flicked it with my finger. The leaf shot straight at Hua Rou's brow.

Her eyebrows lightly collided, Hua Ke returned to her senses and saw Mu Junwu standing not far away. She was surprised: "Big Brother Mu? When did you...".

"The spot I just hit between your eyebrows is Mud Pellet Hundred Convergence."

Mo Jun interrupted Hua Rou's words and immediately plucked two more leaves, shooting them out to fly towards Hua Rou's chest and lower abdomen.

"The second is in Xiangzhong and Huangting, the third is in Dantian and Guanyuan."

"Remember the position and sequence of my strikes now. Later, when you're practicing qigong and walking the meridians, follow this sequence and location."

When you finish speaking, the leaves fall down and fly towards Huajou. Huajou hastily focuses on remembering the positions and order of the struck locations.

"Ren Zhong Jian Jiao, Ren Mai Chong Lou, Qi Hai Cang Na, Shao Yang Dan, Jing Xue Chi, Qu Chi, Yang Ming..."

  becomes:

"Man's middle intersection, Man's pulse heavy tower, Qi ocean storehouse, Lesser Yang gallbladder, Well hole pool, Crooked pool, Yang brightness..."

Your mouth is always moving, accompanied by his voice, the leaves hit Mu Rou's body one by one, like a gentle pat.

When Mu Junwu finished his exercise, leaves fell all over the ground. He dropped the bare branches and bent down to pick up the book and paper, walking towards Hua Rou.

"If you still can't calm down and make a move, then don't make things difficult for yourself."

Passing by Huā Róu's side, Mù Jūn hastily threw out a sentence and walked towards the inner main hall.

Hua Rong stared at Mu Junwu's back in shock and excitement, feeling deeply surprised and bewildered.

  "Is he... teaching me?"
