Chapter 117: The Flame of First Love

The stars were still twinkling in the sky, dawn had not yet arrived, and Tong Dun couldn't wait to throw off his covers and jump out of bed.

"Can't sleep?" The magic book on the desk stretched out its elemental arm and lit the oil lamp.

A faint yellow light immediately filled the room.

"Hmm, I don't know what's going on?" Tang Don usually exercised regularly, but this time he just took a few deep breaths and walked into the bathroom.

Hot water sprayed from the showerhead, pouring down on his body, instantly bringing a refreshing sensation that cleared Tang Don's mind considerably.

"Can this kid really like her just because he likes the sound of Wolf and the owner's voice?" Holma sighed, a young person's emotions are as unpredictable as the clouds in the sky.

Wiping off the water droplets on his body, Tang Dun draped a towel over the headboard and casually put on his usual linen outfit.

Although he had a lot of money, Tang Dun never thought of buying expensive clothes and food to make his life better. He was still the vigorous and simple boy from Morning Dew Town.

  "It's gone!"

Let Mo Dian put Jackson into the war space, Tang Dun picked it up, buckled the cowhide backpack, locked the door, and rushed to the mine gate.

The sentry on the watchtower was slacking off, and Tandon had approached without them noticing. They were still snoring loudly, completely unaware that if they were to be ambushed, they would definitely not survive.

"Hey, open the door, I want to get out!" Tong Dun yelled loudly, banging on the door of the watchtower.

"Who the hell is yelling? Doesn't anyone know that without the boss's order, no one is allowed to go out?" The new miner was often tormented to the point of collapse and wanted to leave the mine. The guards were already used to it and didn't take it seriously, "Get back quickly, don't disturb the big shot's sleep."

"I have a warrant." Darcy had intended to wait patiently, but after more than ten minutes with no one opening the door, he kicked it open with his foot.

Boom! Amidst the splintered wood debris, a hole appeared on the door of the house.

The guards were awakened, one by one, in a foul mood and wanting to fight.

  "Are you looking for trouble?"

A middle-aged guard picked up a long spear, cursed and rushed out, raised it to hit the guy who didn't know better, but saw Tang Don standing at the door and froze.

"Don't disturb me while I'm sleeping, or I'll die." The guards also came over from behind, but were immediately stopped by their companions.

"Shh, don't say anything, it's Tong Dun."

All the curses and complaints vanished instantly, the guards saw Downton, although not flattering, but without any questioning, they quickly went to open the iron gate of the mine.

If it were someone else going out, they would inevitably be stopped by the guards who would find an excuse to extort some money from them, but today they were unusually honest.

No way, Tong Dun's recent momentum is really too strong. He's someone who dares to challenge the director, and our guards are either here because they paid for it or have connections. Not even a magician can compare, if we provoke him, I reckon we'll get beaten like dead dogs.

"Shouldn't you check the foreman's order?" Tang Don took out a wooden token, which was the pass for entering and leaving the mine.

"No need, you're a celebrity in front of Lord Dofenck, we wouldn't dare to check your things." The sly guard came back to his senses and put on a flattering smile.

  "I'm leaving then."

No unexpected trouble, Tang Dun was somewhat surprised, but he didn't want to waste words with them either, and quickly walked out of the mine.

"You're already over thirty, and you're still fawning all over a fifteen-year-old boy. Don't you feel embarrassed?" The guard looked at Tang's back, feeling mentally unbalanced, thinking that he was also an ordinary person, so why could he get the favor of the master?

"It's better to have many gifts, if Mo Fan can really control the mine, we'll be on good terms with Tang Dong, and in the future, it will also serve as a backup plan." The sly guard muttered to himself and walked back to the watchtower to take a nap.

After walking a long way and no longer seeing the mine behind him, Tang Don took out the Soul Riding Badge and inputted his magic.

A snow-white unicorn emerged, shook its head, and its soft mane flowed like a waterfall.

Danton flipped himself onto the horse, shook the reins, and the unicorn was like a meteor flying across the sky, speeding quickly, arriving at Morning Mist Town by noon.

He didn't dare ride a unicorn and swagger in; instead, Tandon walked into town on foot.

Due to his job as a postman, many townspeople knew this diligent young man and greeted him with smiles, and even several aunties invited him to visit their homes.

Downton thanked and declined, after buying a big bag of apples at a fruit store, he ran to the Wolf & Spice Grocery Store, saw that the door was still closed, and disappointment crept onto his face.

"Let's find a place to have breakfast, then go buy some herbs." Holma projected the text, reminding Tanton, "Releasing Jackson will stun many people and reduce your trouble."

Dunton Mechanics nodded, trudging along the stone-paved street with a sense of desolation. Although the weather was fine, he felt that the colors of the world had dulled.

"Young man, have you come to buy medicine?"

A refreshing inquiry had reached his ears, causing Tang Don to stop in his tracks, and a smile immediately spread from the corner of his mouth.

"Hmm!" Dongton turned around and nodded heavily.

The female owner of the grocery store stood at the entrance, holding a broom, ready to sweep the street. She still wore her brown cloak and large hood that covered her face, revealing only her white chin.

"Ah, it's you! I remember you!" The female shop owner's voice carried a hint of surprise. "Welcome to our store!"

Her voice is really too unique, with every sentence ending in a rising tone, full of a carefree flavor, like a clear breeze blowing across the prairie.

Dunton was taken aback, scratching his hair, unsure of how to respond. Once again hearing this voice that sounded like a summer cloud, he still liked it very much.

"Ah, mating season has arrived ahead of schedule." Horma sighed, falling silent and no longer disturbing Tandon.

"Shall I help you sweep the store?" Tong Dun finally found a topic and hastily ran over, stretching out his hand to grab the broom.

"No need, how can we let our guest labor?" The female shop owner refused, "You go in and take a look, we'll be done soon."

Tang Don walked into the grocery store. If it were an ordinary day, he would have taken a look at the medicine on the shelves, but today his mind was elsewhere and he couldn't focus at all.

"What do you want to buy?" The female shop owner hadn't finished asking before she let out a violent cough, and she hastily pulled out a handkerchief to cover her mouth.

"Are you ill?" Tanton didn't know what he was worried about, but his heart was in a mess.

The female shopkeeper shook her head and didn't answer. Although she tried to cover it up, Downton, who had good eyesight, still saw a white handkerchief with a bloodstain on it.

The woman shopkeeper finally recovered after coughing for a long time, revealing an apologetic smile. "Sorry about that, I'm afraid I made you laugh. This time when I went out, I encountered some minor troubles."

"If I can help in any way, just let me know." Downton said, and then saw a pair of starry eyes glance over, although only for an instant, but still made his heart skip a beat.

"We're not used to letting strangers help us." The female shop owner smiled and refused.

"Sorry." Downton suddenly realized how abrupt his words were, and hastily apologized, then the other person's words made him feel like he was going to die.

Tang Dun was annoyed by this state, he didn't know what happened to himself and why he couldn't calm down.

"It doesn't matter, I remember, you're here to buy the Dragon Slaying Stage medicine, right?" The female shop owner walked behind the counter, casually picked up a bright red apple and lay down on the long chair.

Crunch, the apple is crisp, a piece bitten off by white teeth, filling the room with sweetness.

"Hmm!" Tong Dun nodded, "If you have other medicines or herbs, I want them too."

"Sorry, this time when I went out, I encountered some minor troubles and the medicine was not prepared temporarily." The female shop owner felt depressed about the loss of trust, so she proposed, "To compensate you, everything you bought can be discounted by 50%."

"You don't need to pay, just keep the money for your illness." Tang Dun said, turning around and leaving. He thought this was the female shop owner's way of driving him away, after all, how could a medicine of the Dragon Slaying level be easily bought?

"Huh?" The female shop owner didn't understand why Tang Don wanted to leave, but she didn't stop him.

Tang Dun quickly walked out of town and only then realized that the fruit he was carrying in his hand had not been delivered, and he hesitated about whether to go back.

"Dummy, what are you worried about?" Holma projected burning magical texts to encourage Danton, "Men just charge, charge, charge!"

"Alright, I won't be able to finish so many apples, I'll just put them at the door and leave." Downton found a self-deceiving excuse and ran towards the grocery store.

"You're selling fake medicine. How are you going to compensate us?" The three mercenaries entered the Wolf and Spice, smashing a bottle of water on the ground.

The female shop owner was eating an apple and didn't respond.

"Our brother drank your potion and now he's ill, you have to compensate us." The scar-faced mercenary leader said, then ordered his men to move the goods. "No money? Then use potions as payment."

The scar-faced man, after accidentally drinking the medicine purchased from here, sensed an opportunity to make a fortune and, after inquiring about the news several times, confirmed that the owner of the wolf and spice store was a commoner with no background, so he made his move.

"As soon as I finish this order, I can become a millionaire. Who would have thought that these unlabeled medicines all turned out to be of high quality? I've really struck it rich."

"So that's why I hate humans. Looks like we're moving again." The female shop owner placed the apple core on the fruit plate, preparing to kill someone.

"What are you doing?" Downton burst into the store, staring at these people.

"Where did this little mongrel come from? Get out of here, it's none of your business." The scar-faced mercenary cursed and waved his twin swords, intimidating Tong Dun.

"Put things back in their place, or don't blame me for being impolite." Tanton flipped his hand out of the backpack and pulled out a magic book, unfolding the war space.

Jackson emerged clad in light armor, bearing the Torn Dragon Tooth and Warrior's Sword at his back, with a Warrior's Short Sword also at his waist, literally armed to the teeth.

  "Space equipment?"

  "Excalibur-level weapon?"

The mercenaries were about to take action, but when they saw Jackson suddenly appear, they were all stunned and froze in place.

The female shop owner picked up an apple and lay down again, thinking for a moment, then casually pulled out a book of magical medicine illustrations from the drawer and flipped through it.
