  Did Miss discover something?

Su Li tinued with a smile. "I’m just asking. Why are you so nervous? You firls have been with me since you were young. I know you’re loyal."

Hearing this, Yu Qi rexed and smiled. "Miss is right. I’ve always been loyal to you."

Seeing that Yu Qi was heading toward her own doom, Su Li decided not to say more.

After freshening up, Su Li dismissed the maids and had them go rest.

Ever since her rebirth, Su Li no longer allowed the maids to sleep ier room. She was worried that she might actally reveal something in her dreams.

Leaning against the headboard with a book, she realized it was almost midnight. Having napped earlier and not feeling particurly tired in this unfamiliar enviro, she tinued reading, but soon noticed a strange presen her room.

  "Who’s there?"

Jun Mo chuckled softly and stepped out from behind a pilr.

"Miss Su is indeed very alert."

"Yhness King Jing? What is this about…?"

Jun Mo casually walked over to the table, poured himself a cup of tea, and said gently, "Miss Su, you gave me the antidote, and I’m here to thank you."

Although Su Li maintained her posure, she was inwardly speechless.

He could have thanked her at any time, but why choose this moment?

"You haven’t taken the medie," she said, not as a question but as a statement.

Jun Mo raised an eyebrow, surprised. "How does Miss Su know that I haven’t taken the medie?"

Su Li looked him directly in the eyes. "That medie was beneficial to you, and I have no ill i. You take it as a favor from me, given our mutual acquaintance."

Jun Mo studied her for a long time, his eyes narrowing. She wasn’t wearing a veil, and the moonlight illuminated her face. One side was fwless like jade, while the other was disfigured.

The stark trast, strangely harmonious, left him momentarily mesmerized. In her eyes, he could sense a faint weariness and indulgence.

Suddenly, he smiled, his features softening with warmth.

"I really do hat medie. No matter your iions, I’ll accept your favor. If you need anything iurn, as long as it’s within my ability, I’ll do it for you."

There was no way a man could be in this courtyard.
