Chapter 42 Chaos… Or Chocolate?

The return to Hogwarts after their trip totts felt surreal. The a castle loomed against the evening sky, its turrets shrouded in mist, a faint glow emanating from its many windows. Snow dusted the grounds, lending the se a peaceful stillhat sharply trasted with the tension Harry and Luna had carried back with them.

Harry pushed open the heavy oak doors, and the familiar warmth of the castle’s magical ambiance washed over them. The silence from the empty Great Hall, was rather sad and even though no students or teachers were here. The smells of roasted meats and spiced pumpkin filled the air, the houseeleves were still at work apparently even with no students at the school.

Luna’s eyes darted to the ented ceiling, her expression one of serene amusement. “It’s been so long since I’ve looked at this with fresh eyes,” she mused.

“The stars painted above—so much like the real sky, but never quite right.” Daphates in agreement.

“It is a real sky, it just feels off because the one in the underworld is truely fake.” Luna states

“That’s a real night sky?” Harry asks in plete and total fusion.

Luna gave Harry a patient smile, the kind that made him feel like he was missing something obvious. “Of course, Harry. Hogwarts’ ented ceiling doesn’t create an illusion; it reflects the true sky above. It’s a living e to the heavens, a pieagic older than most of these walls.”

Daphne houghtfully. “But she’s right about the Underworld’s sky. It’s a fabrication—cleverly crafted, but hollow. It makes this one feel strange by parison.”

Harry frowned, still trying to his head around it. “So... this isn’t just some spellwork to mimic the night sky? It’s like... a window?”

“Not even close.” Luna states with a smirk as she waves her hands and arms about moving the stars like one would du orchestra.

Harry's jaw dropped as he watched Luna gracefully wave her hands, the stars on the ented ceiling responding to her movements. steltions shifted and daheir shapes bending and swirling as though they were part of a ic symphony under her and. The se was breathtaking, and for a moment, even the ever-posed Daphne was rendered speechless.

“Not even close,” Lued with a pyful smirk, her silver eyes sparkling like the very stars she was orchestrating. “The entment here doesn’t just reflect the sky above—it ects to the fabric of the heavens. It’s why I do this.” She twirled her fingers, and a cluster of stars rearranged into the form of a thestral, which galloped across the ceiling before dissolving bato the night.

Harry blinked, still processing what he was seeing. “You’re moving the stars? How—what—why—?”

“It’s not so hard,” Luna said airily, as though she were expining something as simple as tying her shoes. “The magic here resonates with me. After all, I am a goddess of the moon, night sky, and dreams. Maniputing the stars is... instinctive.”

Daphne’s gaze flicked between Luna and the ceiling, her brow furrowing in thought. “So this isn’t just… Lunaaaaa, why! I though you had calmed down after giving the king of goblins a panic attack.” Daphates.

Luna responds by breaking out into fully body ughter.

“You know what thats it I am not going to buy you any more chocote!” Daphne announces.

Luna froze mid-ugh, her grin fading instantly as her wide, silver eyes locked onto Daphh sheer disbelief. “You wouldn’t dare,” she said, her voice trembling—not with fear, but with the absolute certainty that Daphne had just crossed into dangerous territory.

“Oh, I absolutely would,” Daphne shot back, her arms crossed and a smirk pying on her lips. “sider it... an iive for you to behave.”

Harry, standing off to the side, tried and failed to stifle a snicker. “You really hit her where it hurts, Daphne. I don’t think I’ve ever seehis horrified.”

Luna’s hands shot up in a pleadiure as she took a step closer to Daphne, her tone shifting to one of dramatic despair. “Daphne, my love, my moonflower, my light in the darkness! Surely you don’t mean that. Chocote is... it’s a sacred treat from you to me~”

“Well you better behave then.” Daphne asserts

“You ’t just—just revoke it!” Luna respons way to fast for a woman in plete trol

“Oh, I ,” Daphne replied, her smirk widening. “And I will. If you don’t stop causiial-level chaos every time we turn around, yoing to learn what life without chocote is like.”

Luna gasped, clutg her chest as though she’d been mortally wounded. “This is a cruel punishment! Unjust! Tyrannical!”

“Then stop being a chaos gremlin,” Daphne said ftly, though her torayed a hint of amusement.

Harry leaned against the wall, shaking his head as he watched the exge. “You know,” he said, grinning, “I think I’m going to enjoy seeing how this pys out. Luna, you might actually have to behave for once.”

Luna spun to face him, pointing an accusatory finger. “You’re supposed to be on my side, Harry! Husband!”

“I’m always on your side,” he replied smoothly. “But I’m also on the side of sanity, and Daphne has a point.”

Luna pouted, her bottom lip trembling in an exaggerated show of sadness. “You’re both monsters,” she muttered, turning her head away with theatrical fir.

Daphne’s ughter finally broke through her stern facade, and she stepped forward to lightly tug on Luna’s sleeve. “Fine, I’ll resider... if you promise not to scare any moblin kings or rearrahe stars without warning.”

Luna’s pout lingered for a moment before she sighed dramatically. “Very well. I suppose I try... but only because I value ore than chaos.”

“Priorities,” Harry murmured under his breath, earning a giggle from both girls as they resumed their walk to a table to sit down for dinner.
