"Come with me," I say pulling Savanna along through the house. She stared at me with confusion. She knew that I knew about how I played with her emotions. I just had one thing to tell her. "I won't kill you."
When I said those words, she seemed to relax. We arrive at the vehicle, pile in and then take off. I look behind me and sigh in relief as I see no one. Savanna pushed her hair out of her face before tapping me on the shoulder.
"Are you alright?" she asks. I take a breath and nod.
"Just making sure you're safe." I say honestly. I look at Jungkook who shook his head in disapproval. His dark eyes glared hungrily at Savanna and I knew the results of us trying to leave. Death for Savanna and having our souls pried out for us. We had only one chance to do this. Taking her hand, I give her a reassuring smile.
"What's going on?" she asks looking around. I feel the car jerk to a sudden stop. Catching myself, I look out the window and see black misty fog encircling the car. I
"______ it." I say before looking at Savanna. "Demon, remember?" I lock the door before looking at the group.
"What are you going to do?" Namjoon asks me. I glance around, hoping to find something to protect us. Nothing. I begin to panic. I knew I couldn't kill the Devil, or play at his game. He'd the advantages.
I was about to reply but Savanna's scream startled me. She clutched her head as she tried to keep quiet. I hold her close before having the car door fly open. The group backs up as the fog spreads itself inside, suffocating us. I pry myself away from Savanna long enough to put a barrier around us. Hoseok and Jimin flap their wings, sending the mist outside.
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
"The devil knows about your escape plan," Jungkook says. "you need to either kill her yourself or admit that you love her!" I look at Savanna as she looks at fog with fear.
"I-I can't!" I say shivering. memories flooded my head. Memories that made me do what I did.
"Forget about Su Ki!" Jimin screams as the petrifying heat hit the car. "She doesn't mean anything to you! She's dead!" I clench my fists as I see the knife on the seat beside us.
It would've taken one cut. One small cut for all this torture to be over...but I couldn't bring myself to do it. Today was Halloween. She had so much to live for; I couldn't end her life. Throwing the knife, I heard an 'ow' before crimson eyes appeared next to the door.
The group intensified as a low chuckle rang through the atmosphere like a virus. It brought shivers down my spine as a dark hand reached in and took Savanna's arm. She yelped and pulled away.
"Make the screaming stop!" she screams. "Please....it hurts." I look to see the mark. I look at the group before nodding.
'Don't do it.' a deep voice said gaining my unwanted attention. 'you know the consequences.'
I did. But I didn't care. I move Savanna's head so she was looking at me.
"I'm going to help you," I say, "I'll make the pain go away." My gaze drifts to the mark on the side of her neck.
Moving her hair, I put my hand on the side of her neck before giving her a reassuring smile. Before I could get a single word out, her hand grabs my wrist, stopping me. She shakes her head.
"Don't." she simply says. "I...I don't want it gone." The group gives her a shocked look, but we get distracted by the car lifting. I clutch to the seats as the ground disappeared beneath us. A sudden tense feeling brought all of us to silence.
"knock, knock...Guess who?"
