Russell called the police, ciming he had spotted a wanted bank robber from st week sitting in the café, sipping coffee.
This was, of course, false information. Russell knew about the news because he had accidentally come across it earlier.
So, he described the suspect from the news and added that the robber was now wearing a suit and a purple scarf.
As Russell expected, it didn't take long for two NYPD officers to arrive at the café and approach the Purple Man.
After entering the café, the two officers spoke briefly with the Purple Man, then quietly left without taking any further action.
Russell wasn't surprised.
With the Purple Man's abilities, it was child's py for him to subtly control the officers and make them leave without drawing attention.
Russell remained in his car, silently observing everything happening inside the café.
Five or six minutes ter, he took out another untraceable phone and dialed 911 again.
Using the same story and method, he crushed the phone after making the call.
Within ten minutes, two more officers arrived, and the same scene pyed out.
When the police showed up a second time, even if the Purple Man was slow to react, he would have realized something was wrong.
When the Purple Man left the café and got into a car parked outside, Russell noticed the once-bustling café quickly became deserted.
The seemingly unreted customers also left the café after the Purple Man departed.
Not only that, but he also spotted two Ford SUVs quietly following the Purple Man's car.
These were likely his bodyguards.
If Russell wasn't mistaken, those SUVs were probably filled with heavily armed men. He didn't follow directly. Instead, he took out a bullet-shaped tracking device.
This tracking device which closely resembled a bullet was one of the pieces of equipment Russell had brought from the Hydra base.
It didn't require a specialized uncher, just a 9mm handgun to fire it. Plus, it didn't produce the loud gunshot noise of a regur bullet.
He didn't have many of these convenient bullet trackers, and each one used was one less.
But for the Purple Man, he didn't mind using one.
After loading the tracker into a prepared handgun, Russell followed the two Ford SUVs and fired the tracker.
Once the tracker hit the rear SUV, Russell turned at the next intersection and stopped tailing them.
On the tablet beside him, the tracker's signal was dispyed clearly.
Judging by the tracker's path, he concluded that the Purple Man was heading back to his hotel.
After confirming the location, Russell didn't hesitate. He stepped on the gas and drove toward the Purple Man's hotel.
Despite leaving ter than his target, thanks to his excellent driving skills and a bit of street racing through New York, Russell arrived at the hotel before him.
What followed was simple... Disguise, infiltrate, wait, knock out, and take away...
Thanks to the espionage skills he had learned at the Hydra base, Russell easily entered the Purple Man's room.
He knocked out the Purple Man who had just returned, stuffed him into a rge travel bag, and then leaped out of the hotel window, making a clean escape.
After tossing the bag containing the Purple Man into the trunk of his car, Russell took out his regur phone and called Dr. Wilson at Syndicate building.
"Doctor, I've got that enhanced human I mentioned st night. Get ready... Remember to take isotion and protective measures to avoid infection and control."
Before Russell could finish, he heard the excited voice of Dr. Wilson on the other end.
For the doctor who was currently unable to continue his Abomination research and had no other projects, the Purple Man's arrival was undoubtedly good news.
Dr. Wilson never expected Russell to mention the target st night and then capture him the very next day.
He was extremely satisfied with Russell's efficiency.
After hanging up with the doctor, Russell hesitated for a few seconds before finally calling Jessica.
"Where are you now?" he asked.
"Near Fisk Tower. Why?" Jessica's voice was muffled, as if she were eating something.
"Can you come to Syndicate Bio? I've got a gift for you."
"What gift?" Jessica asked calmly, unaware of what was coming.
"Killgrave."
Upon hearing Russell's response, Jessica on the other end of the line suddenly coughed loudly, as if she had choked on something.
After calming herself, Jessica asked again, "I… I'll be right there! Where is he now?"
"He's in my trunk. Later, he'll be on Dr. Wilson's operating table."
After Russell finished speaking, Jessica didn't say anything else. She simply hung up.
When Russell arrived at the 13th floor of Syndicate building with the travel bag containing the Purple Man, Dr. Wilson and the research team were fully prepared.
A completely sealed transparent b, top-tier protective suits, and the entire 13th floor had been isoted by the doctor.
"He's all yours. But don't do anything too gruesome today. A friend will be coming to see him ter."
Russell could easily lift the travel bag with one hand, but Dr. Wilson couldn't.
So, the doctor had his assistants carry the still-unconscious Purple Man into the sealed operating room and securely strap him to the table.
Dr. Wilson didn't know who Russell's friend was, but since he wasn't in a rush to dissect the specimen, he didn't object to Russell's request.
Just as the doctor began conducting basic examinations and recording data, the security team contacted Russell via walkie-talkie, informing him that a woman ciming to be his friend had arrived on the first floor.
Without needing to ask, he knew it was Jessica. He instructed the security team to bring her up.
When Jessica arrived and saw the Purple Man lying on the operating table, her body trembled uncontrolbly.
'Just seeing him triggered such a strong stress reaction...'
Russell silently noted this...
