The next morning, Shokei wakes up in her sleep. With her eyes awake, she looks around in the guest room. Then she turns to see the princess is right by her side, sleeping peacefully and in her front view, she can see the sun, illuminating brightly from the window. Looking outside, it appears to be a nice, sunny day. The scenery brought a warm morning until...

  "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"

  Just then, Shokei hears screaming from downstairs in the basement. Antoinette breaks out of her sleep from the noise, and she is now awake.

  "What was that?" Antoinette asked.

  "Let's check it out." Shokei said, hopping out of her bed.

  Both girls exited out of the room and head downstairs to the basement where Rei and her friends are. There, they see Beatrice and Tamiko are teaming up against a unwelcome guest that is backing up against a wall. There weapons are drawn towards the guest.

  "Who the hell are you?" Tamiko asked, aiming her crossbow at the intruder.

  "How the hell you got in here?!" Beatrice asked, pointing her sword close to Lei. "Who sent you?!"

  "Uhhh...uhhhhhh..."

  Rei's friends are going against Lei, in which she had spent the night with Rei from the tavern. Lei is trying to defend herself.

  "Please, please!" Lei pleaded. "I can expin!"

  "Oh, sure you can...as in breaking and entering!" Tamiko said moving in with her crossbow.

  "No no! I don't want to cause trouble! I swear upon The Almighty!" Lei pleads again, eyeing on the bow aimed at her.

  "Hmm?"

  Rei is being disturbed by the nuisance that is taking pce. She wakes up to see what was happening. First thing that Rei notice that she was recovering from her drunkenness. The effects of her being drunk died down as she got a full nights rest, despite being out te. Rei directs her attention on her friends with the "guest" that she brought to the house with.

  Huh? Who's this girl? Rei thought. Where did she come from?

  Blind sighted, Rei found herself in a confused situation on how she brought over a stranger to Kichiro's house. She had no idea on allowing her guest to sleep over or recalled having that "guest" to sleep beside her in bed.

  "Oh, come on! Just spare me and I'll tell you everything!" Lei pleaded again.

  "Tell us what you vile crook?" Tamiko asked.

  "I'm no crook! Does it look like I stolen anything here?" Lei asked her angrily.

  "You're not leaving here." Beatrice tells her and points her sword against the neck. "Because I can cut that thin neck of yours like a chicken!"

  Lei gulped and shook her head nervously.

  "Ok! STOP!!" Rei shouted at everyone. "STOP!!"

  The girls got their attention when Rei shouted. Rei came back to her senses and realizes that there is someone present in the house and looks at the suspect. Rei sees the appearance of a girl that appears to be small in height. Seeing her being trapped up against a wall, Rei gets a sense of who it was and have identified her.

  That girl...hey! I remember now! I danced with her while I was drunk, didn't I? Rei thought and blinked.

  Rei intervenes to break up the threat against Lei.

  "Ok! Stop this madness!" Rei commanded. "There's no need to threaten her!"

  "What gives Rei?" Beatrice asked. "She's a crook that broke in here."

  "You got it all wrong you guys." Rei said. "No need to point your weapons at her."

  "Whaaaat? Why?" Marie asked.

  "Rei, do you have anything to expin about this?" Tamiko asked.

  "I do actually!" Lei said to the party.

  "Huh?" everyone has their attention to Lei.

  "I can tell you what happened." Lei tells them. "Your friend here was drunk st night. Since she felt very tired and dizzy, I was the one that helped her to return here."

  Once the party hears Lei telling them what happened, Beatrice and Tamiko lowered their weapons.

  "I see..." Beatrice said.

  "That expins why she winded up here." Marie said.

  The group turned to see Shokei and Antoinette watching all this happening down at the basement. Then they turn back to Lei.

  "So, tell me how Rei managed to bring you to this house from st night?" Tamiko asked her.

  "I kept asking Rei where to go and I followed her directions to get to this house." Lei tells her. "I could barely hear her since she was ughing while intoxicated. Once I brought her here to her bed, I thought it would be ok for me to stay in for the night, only that it was my fault I did not ask permission."

  All three of Rei's friends were not happy when they heard this. Rei looks down in embarrassment.

  "You do realize how much we ought to punish you for entering into someone's home, do you?" Beatrice asked her angrily.

  "The owner of this house would not be pleased to find a stranger in his house." Tamiko said, shaking her head.

  "Despite helping Rei return back here safely, it's still unacceptable to go in and sleep in someone's home." Marie said to her.

  Geez! All of you girls are viewing me as if I'm the bad guy here. Nonsense!! Lei thought, keeping her pout to herself.

  "Ok Marie!" Rei said, calming her friends down. "Guys, it's ok. I know it was my fault for being outside te st night, but..." she turns to Lei. "Look you. I owe you for saving me from getting myself lost st night. But if I were to ask you again..."

  Shokei waits for Rei and listened.

  "What was your name again?" Rei asked her.

  "The name's Lei." Lei greets herself to her. "Lei Bckheart."

  "Lei Bckheart. What a name." said Marie, hearing that name for the first time.

  "Yep. That's my name and don't you forget it." Lei said, giving a wink at Marie.

  "What...HMMPH! The nerve!" Marie felt pissed at Lei's attitude.

  "Ahem!"

  The group looks to see Shokei walking in on the conversation.

  "Is everything ok?" asked Shokei.

  "Seems so." Rei tells her. "Sorry, what you have to witness here, but everything's cool now."

  "In other words, you have met someone new from st night." Shokei said, seeing Lei. "Sounds as if things are looking up for you."

  "Hey now! Let's not go there yet." Rei said to her with a look.

  Shokei giggles at this. Antoinette smiled with her as Rei blushed, averting from the group. Lei, on the other hand, has her eyes on Shokei. While her disguise is in py from revealing herself to be a Necromutant, she still has a mission on her.

  So...the Emissary of Light awakes... Lei thought to herself.

  Later that morning, the party is about to leave Itaea to head for the Kingdom of Senwald. Before they did, they're having another meeting as Rei takes the stand to introduce everyone a new person, she met st night.

  "Everyone, this is Lei." Rei tells everyone. "I met her st night as I was escorted home from being drunk."

  "Really?" Shokei said to Rei. "And I thought you promise me not to stay out te st night."

  "I did, but..." Rei wanted to expin but shrugged it off.

  "I see." Kichiro said, seeing Lei. "From the looks of things, I don't know how you met this person after she saved you from being drunk st night. I appreciate that help, but you do know I really, really hate it when you bring strangers into my house without me knowing."

  "Aside from that Kichiro, she looks kind of cute." Saeko said and asked. "Say Rei, is this your new girlfriend that you found?"

  "Easy now!" Rei replied, giving her the hand. "I met her since st night. Not that I hit on her or anything."

  "Hehehe..." Saeko giggled. "I'm only teasing you."

  "Hmm?" Rei looks to see Lei having a slight blush.

  "Oh! Nothing!" Lei quickly hides her blush off her face.

  "Anyways..." Kichiro said by getting Lei's attention. "Tell me something about yourself."

  "Who...me?" Lei asked, pointing to herself.

  "Yep. Tell us now so that we won't think of you as a stranger." Kichiro said.

  "Ummm, Ok." Lei said, taking a breath before speaking out to the party. "First off, I'm originally from the City of Ugygas, born and raised from there."

  "U...gygas?" Shokei asked, hearing the name the first time.

  "Where is that?" Marie asked. "Never heard of this city."

  "To be honest...it's very far from here." Lei replied. "Not like you won't find my home here. It's that far."

  "Ok. Where are you really from?" asked Saeko.

  "I'm from..." Lei, looks up and tells everyone with a straight look. "Pnet Du-mek."

  "Whaaaaaaat?!" Kichiro said with a surprised look.

  The party looks at him as Kichiro appears to be in shock.

  "Du-mek..." Kichiro said, calming down. "I thought that Pnet had no life forms ever."

  "Wow." Marie said with a smile. "I'm amused that there's life on another pnet."

  "Hmm..." Tamiko thinks about this and said, "So if there's life on Du-mek, how come your pnet is covered in darkness?"

  "My thoughts exactly..." Lei tells her, but secretly lied. "But I have no idea."

  "...strange." Rei said.

  Lei turns her attention to Rei.

  "For someone that lives far from her home pnet, I think nobody would know that you live on a pnet that appears nonexistent to other's eyes." Rei said.

  "Well..." Lei tried to say something, but then she shrugged.

  "That reminds me." Kichiro said and asked. "What do you do for a hobby Lei?"

  "Who me?" Lei asked.

  "I mean, yeah. What do you do for a hobby?" Kichiro asked her.

  "Oh! Let's see..." Lei replied. "For one, I'm a demonologist. I happen to study and identify types of demons that I see and recognize in detail. My study preference is in Sigils."

  "Interesting." Shokei said.

  "Trust me." Lei said to her. "An expert such as I know demons."

  Weird..., Shokei thought with disappointment. Don't tell me we have a know-it-all around here...

  "As much as I want to chat about demons, we cannot waste time here." Rei said to everyone. "We have some important business to take care of."

  "Really? Like what?" Lei curiously asked.

  "Umm, really important business." Beatrice said to her. Then said to everyone. "We should prepare ourselves before heading out."

  "Hmm..." Lei thinks with curiosity.

  "Perhaps...I should tell you what the situation is all about." Rei said to Lei. "Just promise you won't tell anybody about this in town."

  "Sure!" Lei said, showing interest. "Tell me!"

  Soon, Shokei and her party are about to leave the house and are set for Senwald. Before they could go...

  "You mean I can't come with you guys?!" Lei asked with a sad look on her face.

  "Looks like it." Rei replied. "I'm not sure what else you're capable of, but you'll have to stay here."

  "Awwww!" Lei whined.

  "I mean, it's for your own safety." Rei tells her. "Besides, it could be dangerous."

  Lei feels disappointed. From meeting the person whom she met st night is leaving her in Itaea.

  "Say, if we're leaving, then who will watch the house while we are gone?" Rei asked.

  "I think your friend can watch the house for me." Kichiro suggested.

  "What?" Lei said surprised. "Me?"

  "Uh-huh. You will oversee taking care of my house while we are away. We won't be back for quite a while, but I have spare keys under the mat should you step out to your pce." Kichiro tells her.

  Hey now! A Necromutant has her own pce! Lei thought to herself. You human! You don't know me!

  "That's fine by me!" Lei said to Kichiro, agreeing to watch the house. "I'll be here."

  "Good! Then we should get moving before the guards find the princess again." Shokei said.

  "Right." Rei nodded and then the party leaves the house. Before closing the door, she turns to see Lei. "See you soon."

  "Bye..." was all Lei can say.

  Shokei and her party make their way on leaving the town of Itaea. Heading North, the party are heading to the Kingdom of Senwald. Lei can see the party leaving her behind. Watching them go, a change of heart was made on her face. Lei, now in her Bck Death persona, evilly smiled and she rubbed her hands, know what to do next.

  "Leave me behind, eh?" the Necromutant said to herself. "I wouldn't think of it. It's time I should reintroduce myself!"
