"It sure is a nice view around here. Isn't it beautiful my love?"
"Of course, dear...I couldn't agree with you more. Even the fields make the view more beautiful."
In a field out in the middle of nowhere, two people are resting behind a big tree. A girl in a light yellowish blonde hair was talking to someone in her presence. Both are enjoying the view staring out at the field of grass with chamomiles blooming with energy. The skies are clear, and the air is clean. The blonde girl looks up to see the person getting up from the tree and then looks down to where she is sitting.
"I'll be right back. I need to do something."
The blonde girl nodded with a smile. Before departing, the girl seals a kiss with the person and then she sees the person heading off in the fields.
Once she saw the person going out, the blonde girl looks around and enjoys the view. Everything around her seems peaceful and she stares up to the clear skies. The sun is beaming with energy, illuminating a perfect weather.
"...AAH!!"
Suddenly, the blonde girl becomes alert and looks straight ahead. There, the person she was talking to has been ambushed by two dark figurines. One of them has stabbed her partner with a sword. Shocked, the girl gets up and sees what was going on. Quickly she rushes up to where her partner is colpsing on the floor with blood coming out from the chest.
"No...no! ...huh?!"
Without warning, the other dark figure fired a crossbow directly at her. A struck on the side of the chest made the girl cry out in pain and falls to the ground. Wincing in pain, she feels the arrow and quickly pulls it out of her chest. Stunned by the attack, the girl managed to look up and see the clouds engulfing in darkness. In fear, she was shaken, and she looks back at the person that's on the floor, motionless. No sign of life. Dead.
From there, the girl could not do anything as she lies there with tears, and she feels the wind blowing. A boom crashing sound of lighting is forming from the darkness.
All you're trying to do is to stop the feeling of being helpless...
The girl pipes up and listens to the mysterious voices that are calling out to her.
Look at you...you're alone...
Do you ever get the feeling of loneliness in your heart?
Cringing, the girl could not stand the voices being said to her.
"Stop it...stop it..."
The girl, breathing through her mouth, manage to get up and looks around. She wanted to know who was talking to her. No one. The clouds above are already covered in darkness.
What impudence young being...face your trial in loneliness...
What's the matter? It's amusing how someone is totally alone...just as yourself.
Do you feel comfortable in our world of darkness? You should be...as you are by now...
"No...no...leave me alone! Stop it!" the girl pleaded, trying to ignore the voices.
Hehehe...there is nothing you can do to stop this feeling...you're just a loner and you'll always be a loner...don't you see? No one will be there for you. No one will look out for you. No one...to save you from despair, even if you do it alone.
As the darkness is consuming her surroundings, the girl falls down on her knees as blood continues to gut out from the chest. Feeling scared, the pain is becoming too much on her own weight.
Look at that...look at that. Look at the lonely freak of nature. We should be ughing at you. No way you can stop us now!
"UGHHH!!! Just...just GO AWAY!!" The girl shouted out. More lighting crackles out from the skies.
You're crying huh? That's for the weak minded. It's a great feeling that you won't be accepted as a normal being. Why you have the innocence of a small child inside you. Truly a pathetic being.
"Please!! No more!! Just leave me alone!!" The girl screamed out from her lungs, frustrated.
The voices brought up more ugher as the blonde girl cries out and then feels her body going weak fast. Her vision gets blurry and then she colpses and dies on the spot as the sea of darkness leads to her death.
"AHHHHHH!!!"
Waking up from a nightmare, the blonde girl wakes up in surprise. She takes some breaths and allows her body to breathe in air through her nostrils. Blinking a few times, she was able to calm herself and realize that it was only a nightmare. The girl looks down to check on herself to see if she was all right. She closed her eyes and was gd that she felt fine afterwards. Next, she turned to stare at the window. It was daytime and sunlight come into her room. Just then, the door swings open.
"Shokei..."
Shokei hears someone calling out to her. Her friend, with a face of a tomboy, is at the door watching her in her bed. The friend has a concerned look on her face.
"Are you alright?" asked her friend.
"I'm...I'm good Rei." Shokei replied.
"I heard you screaming. Did you have a bad dream or something?" Rei asked.
"Kind of...but I'll be all right." Shokei said to her.
"Ok. Just come outside when you're up and ready."
Shokei nodded and Rei closes the door. Blinking to herself, Shokei gets out of bed and walks toward the window. She stares out and sees the endless waves of the seas. She is on a wooden ship.
"I'm thirsty." Shokei said to herself. "I need a drink."
Shokei did just that and grabbed a bottle to drink some water.
Later, Shokei was on top deck of the ship. She managed to meet up with Rei, along with other members on board on the ship.
"Hey guys." Shokei greeted with a slight smile.
"Morning Shokei!" Rei greeted back. "What's up?"
"Nothing much." Shokei said, looking uneasy at first because of the nightmare she had in her sleep.
"Really?" said one of her friends. "It sounds like you don't feel too good."
"Oh no, Marie." Shokei replied. "I just didn't have a good rest. That's all."
"That's all?" asked another member. "Sounds weird to me Rei that your friend has a case of bed bugs that made her uncomfortable. Tee hee..." she smiled with a giggle.
"Ahem! Not funny Beatrice." Shokei said with a pout. "I had a nightmare, and it was too much for me to bear."
"Chill gal! I was only kidding with you." Beatrice said, meaning no harm. "I didn't want to make you upset or anything. These things happen."
"Humph. I guess..." Shokei said, turning her head.
"Easy now Beatrice." Rei advised her. "Shokei is feeling cranky from her rest, but I know that you're going to be fine, right?"
"Of course..." replied Shokei.
"Good!" Rei smiled. "Then I'm sure that you'll be fine on our journey. You will be a great help with us on the ship."
Shokei nodded.
"Which reminds me, I haven't introduced the other people that are with us on this trip. Come with me."
Shokei follows Rei on the ship. Rei walks up to have Shokei become introduced to the crew members on the ship.
"I nearly forgot to introduce you to the other people that are with us." Rei said. "Now, even though I try to keep my crew all feminine, we have invited at least one guy that is tagging with us, but just a volunteer since I know him well. Don't ask questions why but bear in mind that he's a good guy, ok?"
"Ummm...sure." Shokei replied with a shrug.
"Great." Rei continued. "Now then, on your left that's looking out for our destination is Saeko."
Shokei looks to see Saeko staring out at the ocean with a handheld telescope. She hears Rei talking and then walks over to meet Shokei.
"I heard Rei mentioning that you're on our ship, right? Nice meeting you." Saeko said, greeting Shokei with a handshake.
"Nice to meet you." Shokei responded.
"And over there, we have Sadako. She's steering the ship as we speak."
Rei points out to Shokei and there she can see her piloting the ship. Sadako hears Rei's voice and looks down to see Rei waving out to her. Sadako waves back at the girls.
"Ok. Finally, we have Kichiro." Rei directs Shokei to her attention to see the man at the end of the ship, looking out at the ocean. "Kichiro is not a resident of Malluarea, but he's from the town of Itaea."
Kichiro stands there and waves back at Shokei. Shokei did the same thing.
"He's...quiet." Shokei said about him.
"Nah, not really. He talks, but he just wants to be alone for a moment, ok?" Rei tells her.
"Oh. Ok."
Shokei and Rei walked to the back of the ship. There, they stared at the ocean while the ship is on the move.
"So...What you're thinking about right now?" Rei asked.
"I don't know." Shokei replied. "Just looking out at the ocean and Malluarea is far away from us."
"You miss it?" asked Rei. "I mean, we left Malluarea about hours ago. This trip will only be a few days until we get back."
"That's true." Shokei said.
"Besides, were out in the ocean!" Rei said with some excitement. "Think about it. We're out on our adventure, about to find some treasure that's on an isnd, get that booty, and BAM! We hit it big."
"I wouldn't mind all that." Shokei said, showing interest.
"As for this treasure, some guy was talking about an isnd where a big stash of treasure is found, but the isnd is nothing more than booby traps that have been made to prevent pirates on ciming that treasure."
"That...doesn't feel safe at all." Shokei said with concern.
"Oh hush! For you, me, my crew, and our ship, The Notorious Delinquents, we will be just fine. You should know what you're getting yourself into. Later, this evening, we will go over pns on how this isnd will be and what we need to do to get through to that treasure. Kay's?" Rei asked her.
"...understand." Shokei agreed.
"All we can do is just to stare out at the ocean." Rei said. "We got a long way to go."
Shokei looks out to the ocean. The watery ocean shines while the sun illuminates on the liquid surface. The ship sails through the wavy current as it strides onwards.
Malluarea...so far away..., thought Shokei.
