Shokei and her party walked for a few miles until they have reached the next section of the gravesite. The area looks deserted where there is nothing but graves and small shrines. The party looks to see that there are tombs that lead downstairs.
"Here, this is where the tombs are." Toyama tells Shokei. "Each of these tombs has a door that leads to a room. If we find one that's opened, then it will lead us to the entrance of the Sanctuary."
"Ummm...I thought you knew where the Sanctuary is." Shokei said to him with concern.
"I did but...I forgot which one shows the way to the Sanctuary." Toyama said, feeling embarrassed and not being intelligent.
"You idiot! I thought you know where to go from here." Rei shouted at him.
"Ok, ok! I forgot, but I felt as if the Sanctuary is here." Toyama said.
"Hmm?" Shokei looks at her medallion and sees that it is giving a glow.
"What is it?" Rei asked Shokei.
"Somehow I think we are on the right path in finding the next gem." Shokei tells her. "But we can't give up. We need to have high hopes into finding the correct path."
"Then we'll have to find the tomb that will lead us the way." Rei said.
Using the medallion as a guide, Shokei and her party looks into each of the tombs. By opening the doors to each of the tombs, the party looks around to find that the tombs are empty. The party continues their search for the Sanctuary until they found a shrine that looks open without any door.
"I wonder where this could lead us to?" Shokei asked.
The party went inside and then they walked downstairs. The stairway is a long way down and where they are heading to appears to be deep. Shokei checks the tomb. There, she and her party can see that the area looks big and wide spaced, more like a secret underground. The area is an Egyptian Sanctuary and inside was a blue naos. There is an altar standing there and behind the altar was a door like structure. Shokei can see that this area is much different. She can see the pilrs holding the ceiling surface.
"I think this must be it." Mizuki said. "This should be the Sacred Sanctuary."
"This area looks big." Sadako said, looking around the pce. "I never seen anything like it."
Shokei looks back at her medallion. The medallion shines in full circle, and this indicates that there is a hidden area around the sanctuary. The party can see Shokei's medallion is giving a glow.
"Why is the medallion shining?" Toyama asked. "Could this be a sign?"
"Is there a connection within this pce?" Mizuki asked.
"Looks like it." Rei said.
"...this is it..." Shokei said. "Time to open up this pce."
Shokei walks up to the altar. She reflects back on the first time where she recalled opening the first temple with the exact medallion from Martyrdom. Checking the altar, she looks at the top surface to find that there is an evocation that matches the exact symbol on her medallion. Both the medallion and the evocation symbol gave off a glow around them. Using the medallion in her hand, she pces it on top of the symbol. Once inserted, the medallion shines brightly. The party looks to see that the door is revealing a portal.
"Ehhhh, are you sure if this is the way to the Sacred Sanctuary?" Toyama asked.
"There's no other way around it." Rei said. "This is the entrance."
"This is where we need to find the next gem." Saeko said.
"We came this far." Shokei said. "This entrance should lead us to where we need to get to."
With the portal appearing in pce, the medallion stops glowing. Shokei takes her medallion back with her and puts it in her pocket. Then, the party proceeds into the portal.
Once everyone has went through the portal, the party can see that there is an entrance just ahead. All of them went inside and from there, they have found their way to the dungeon of the Sacred Sanctuary.
Shokei and her party are now in the underground dungeon of the Sacred Sanctuary. Simir to the first dungeon, Shokei can see the yout of the dungeon in the main section. There is a door sealed in the center and there are two entrances on both sides. Inside, the pce looks dark green along with symbols on the walls.
"This reminds me of the temple back at Martyrdom." Shokei said.
"True, but I don't think it would be anything like the first dungeon we had to go through." Rei tells her.
"Right." Shokei said. "We need to get through this pce and find the Sand gem right away."
Shokei and her party heads for the left of the room. There they see an elevator structure with the center of the button. Shokei presses on the button and then the elevator heads downward. The party is going further into the dungeon.
From heading down on the elevator, the party looks around to see where they are. They can see a door ahead of them and the party opens the door. Walking inside, the party finds themselves in a room that contains a chair and a wardrobe. The room is encrypted with Egyptian nguage symbols on the walls. There are about five doors that are around in the room.
"Wait a second! This is really a dungeon, right?" Toyama asked.
"Even if you say that, this is an ancient pce." Shokei said to him. "We need to keep going to find our way to breaking the seals of those doors."
"Where should we start?" Sadako asked.
"Let's try this door." Shokei points out.
The party heads to the door that is south from where they stand. The door appears to be stuck and not opening.
"This door's jammed." Shokei said.
"Let's open another door then." Mizuki said.
Shokei heads for the door on the right. The door appears to be unlocked.
"All right! Let's go!" Shokei said to her party.
The party proceeds down to a long passageway. The party navigates into the dungeon. From walking up to another long passageway, the party finds another door. Opening the door, the party looks inside to find themselves in another room.
The room that the party is in looks wide in space. This room has rags on the floor, and small steps that lead to a throne. The party can see a gong that is on their left in the room near the door. Shokei looks to see the mysterious throne and it is made to be a cat throne.
"Strange..." Shokei said. "What's a throne like this doing here?"
Shokei walks up on the small steps to inspect the throne. She looks to see an evocation symbol that is on the seat. Seeing how strange this throne is, Shokei decides to sit on the throne. Nothing happened when she sat on the throne while some of her party members are checking out the gong. The gong appears to be cracked.
"What are you doing?" Mizuki asked, seeing Shokei sitting on the throne.
"I'm just sitting on the throne here." Shokei tells her.
"...I see." Mizuki said, with her hands on her hips.
"Not to mention, that there's something embedded on the seat of this throne." Shokei tells her and gets up from the seat. "Come here so I can show it to you."
Mizuki walks over to see the evocation symbol.
"That's odd." Why is there an evocation symbol on the seat of the throne?" Mizuki asked.
"No idea." Shokei said. "I sat on it to see if anything happens. Then again, there does not seem to be any effect on me."
"Aren't these kinds of things supposed to happen to someone who looks at it like it's for decoration?" Mizuki asked.
"Who knows?" Shokei said with a shrug. "Besides, I doubt if anything triggered off something while I was sitting on this throne."
"You two find anything unusual?" Obsidian asked.
"Not much, but an evocation symbol on this throne." Shokei tells him.
"Nothing happened here. I guess there's not much to look around here." Mizuki said.
"This area means nothing to us here." Ferron said.
"Right. Let's explore the next area." Shokei said.
After looking around the room, the party heads for a door on the left and they all leave the room.
Shokei and her party continue their way through the passageway. Neither of them encountered anything yet as they zig-zag into the byrinth. There was another door ahead and the party all went inside. The party looks around to see nothing but skeletons on the floor.
"Yikes!" Lei said, feeling spooked. "Nothing but skeletons on the floor."
"Looks like dead skeletons to me." Rei said. "But is that the only thing in this room?"
"Hmm..." Mizuki checks the area and then she said. "Huh? Wait a minute!!"
The party paused in their tracks. Then all of a sudden, the skeletons are rising up from the ground. The skeletons stand tall as their weapons consists of a bone-type sword. A few skeletons carry Falchions as they grip their weapon.
"Shokei! Was this your idea on sitting on that evocation symbol?" Mizuki asked as she takes out her dagger.
"I don't know." Shokei said, taking her Mithrodin sword out. "But I guess we just woke up this pce."
"Then we'll fight our way through." Rei said.
The party commence into battle against the skeletons. Shokei sshes her way against two of the skeletons in front of her and then she swings her sword against two more enemies coming behind her. Mizuki avoids the attack from one of the skeletons that was attempting to strike her with its bone sword. She fought back by using her dagger to pierce through the skeletons bone body and makes a swift punch to the head of the skeleton. The skeleton loses its head and was unable to attack its target. Obsidian comes by to use a drop kick on the body and then stomps on the skeleton's head, crushing it.
Lei steps back as she is surrounded by four skeletons. As she moves back from her enemies, she feels herself losing bance as a door from below opened to reveal a spike pit.
"Woah!!" Lei shrieked but managed to retain her bance.
Rei sees Lei in danger. She rushes to make a big roundhouse kick against all four skeletons, breaking hard across their bodies. Then, Rei comes to Lei's aid, and she escorts her away from the pit.
"Thanks Rei." Lei said to her.
"Anytime." Rei said back at her.
The party continues to fight off the skeletons. Battling against the enemies was not much of a problem as they fought against them easily. Shokei finished off the st one with a quick ssh and the skeletons body stopped moving.
"There, that's the st of them." Shokei said.
"We should keep moving, just in case any more of them emerge." Rei said.
The party leaves the room by heading for the door to the south. While going through the passageway, Shokei activated a trap on the floor switch, and it triggered three sharp arrows straight at the party. Lei sees the attack coming and by using her telekinetic powers, she used a force field to deflect the attacks in time as the arrows were sent flying to the ground.
"Whew! That was too close!" Shokei said.
"You should watch your step often." Mizuki said. "This pce could mean traps for all of us."
The party continues ahead and then they made a right, where there is another door in front of them. Shokei opens the door, and the party enters into the next room.
"Oh snap!!" Lei said as she sees something big.
"What the hell?!" Shokei said, taking her Mithrodin out quickly.
Inside the room, there are three big Ogres. The monsters are medium in size, and they appear to have iron clubs as their weapons.
"You got to be kidding me!" Rei said.
"These beasts are no joke." Mizuki said. "We'll have to take them on separately."
"Let's split up and take care of them." Shokei tells everyone.
The party splits up in groups as they all work together to take care of the Ogres.
Obsidian and Ferron work together as they team up against one of the Ogres. The enemy makes its first strike by swinging down its club towards them. The allies dodged away from the attack, and they take turns into handling against the enemy. Ferron makes a ssh with his gss bde and his weapon cuts right through the stomach of the monster. Obsidian rushes with a quick reaction as his sword penetrates into the arm of the Ogre. The Ogre felt its stomach and arm being cut and the enemy was unable to defend itself, suffering from blood loss. As the monster knelt down with its injuries, Ferron makes quick work by giving the enemy a sharp chop on the monster's head. The head was cut off as the Ogre died instant of decapitation.
"There." Ferron said and swings down his sword to get the blood from the Ogre.
"That's one down." Obsidian said.
Rei, Lei, and Sadako team up against the other Ogre that they are fighting. Rei makes the attempt of kicking towards the enemy, but suddenly the Ogre pulled off a magical attack and used a sand spell to distract Rei. The spell was put in effect as Rei is blinded by the sand in her eyes.
"Ack!!!" Rei cried out in panic. "I can't see!"
"Come at me!" Sadako said, building up her magic and casts out, "Chilling Omni Fusion!"
With a quick bst, Sadako's magic was put into effect as the light beam aimed at the Ogre. The enemy sees the attack coming and then it protects itself with a force field spell. Sadako's magic fizzles as the attack was negated.
"No way!" Sadako compined.
"Hmmph! Let's see if he can handle this." Lei said to herself.
Rei tries to recover from her blindness as the sand caused her to temporarily lose her sight.
"Psychic beam smash!" Lei chanted.
Lei's psychic abilities were put into effect. The wavy beam is aimed towards the enemy. The Ogre is about to defend itself from the attack but suddenly, the attack becomes effective as the Ogre feels the beam touching its body. The monster cries out as it feels its body going numb and paralyzed. The beam was so strong that the Ogre's defenses was not able to withstand the strength of the psychic ability. The monster was engulfed in the psychic attack and was sent back to the wall.
Once the Ogre nded down on the floor, the monster triggered off a trap by a false tile. Out of nowhere bursts a Fming Jet from the ground. Shokei and her party jumps out of the way as the jet roars out a fiery bze. The Ogre that Rei and her group fought against was caught in the fire as its body dies into the fmes.
"Ahhh!" Lei shrieked, trying not to get close to the fmes.
"Damn! That was close!" Rei said with relief.
"What was that?!" Shokei asked her party.
"No idea, but I think we made the Ogre triggered a trap on the floor." Lei said.
"Then again, we all survived through that fming trap." Shokei said.
From going through the unexpected trap, Shokei and Mizuki are now dealing with the st Ogre. This Ogre they're facing is bigger than the two Ogre's that were defeated by the party.
"Come on Shokei. We can do this!" Mizuki tells her.
"Ok, here goes nothing." Shokei said, gripping tightly on her sword.
Shokei makes her move and takes a shot at going after the bigger Ogre. The enemy can see her coming and then the Ogre takes a big swing with its club to smash it down on the ground. Shokei moves out of the way immediately in time before the weapon could crush her. Mizuki sees the distraction and she has prepared herself to use force against the Ogre.
"Earth Fissure!" Mizuki casts out.
Using her Geomancer skill, Mizuki's magic went into effect as the ground gives in for the gigantic Ogre. The ground shifts up, like a geyser, and a spike went underneath the enemy. The Ogre takes damage as it feels the pierce on its back.
Shokei goes up to finish off the enemy. Gripping her Mithrodin, she charges at the Ogre. The enemy did not take time to recover as it got dealt with Shokei's weapon. Shokei nds a few hits on the monster as she targets the enemy on the leg and torso. The Ogre takes damage as it was dealt with cuts on its body. The Ogre takes a few steps back until it stands on another fming jet trap. The trap was triggered and then the monster was engulfed in fmes as its body is covered in the ember. The Ogre felt the fiery fmes in its body. However, the Ogre still stands as it is trying to come back with its strength to keep fighting.
"Chilling Icicle!"
Sadako casts out her spell once she sees the Ogre is still alive. The Ogre takes damage from the ice spell and the sharpness from the daggers struck into the monster's body. The icy effects has put the fires out and then the monster colpses on the floor. The party looks around to see that the three Ogre's have been taken care of.
"That's about the st of them." Rei said.
"That was serious." Sadako said. "This is probably even worse than the first dungeon."
"We can't be so sure about that." Shokei said to her. "We have to keep moving."
The party continues onward, and they head for the next door.
