Back in the town of Amia, Rei is still inside one of the abandoned houses, to which Bck Death has put her inside. Suddenly, Rei regains consciousness as she recovers from the fight that she had against the Necromutant. Once awake, she looks around. She finds herself that she is in a bedroom that looks abandoned and not at the sewing factory. Rei then finds herself in an uncomfortable situation. She finds herself in a bind as she is tied to a pole bed by the arms. She struggled as she tries to break free from the grasp.

  "H-Hey!" Rei said as she moves her arms around. "What is this?! Where the hell am I?!"

  Rei tries to fight her way through the ropes. Her body felt weak as she has not fully recovered from the sleeping spell trap that the Necromutant has done her in.

  "Uhhhh..." Rei stopped as she could not move her arms. "S-somebody...somebody help me..."

  As she lies there, Rei hears the sound of footsteps coming up to the room. The door opens and she turns to see who it was.

  "L-Lei..." Rei called out to her.

  "Rei!" Lei said back to her. "Oh Rei! I finally found you."

  "You did...get me out of these ropes, please." Rei tells her.

  "Yes. I sure will!"

  Lei goes over to rescue Rei as she undoes the ropes that are wrapped around her. With both of the ropes being undone from her arms, Rei felt free from being bounded. However, she lies on the bed as she is not a hundred percent well.

  "Oh no." Lei said, as she remained normal in her human form. "Rei...what happened? I tried to find you in the factory, but you went missing."

  "I...I was under attacked by the Necromutant..." Rei said to her. "I fell for her trap until I fell in a deep slumber."

  "Seriously?" Lei asked. "Ohh, I should have been with you down there but..."

  "...you were afraid of the dark?" Rei asked her.

  "I am..." Lei said to her. "I'm...not used to dark pces to be honest."

  "I see..." Rei said, turning her head.

  "Umm..." Lei blinked and then asked. "You...you're mad at me for not being there to help you..."

  "...no, its not your fault..." Rei responded. "No...none of it is your fault. I won't bme you if you didn't follow me at the basement."

  Lei rexed a little, nearly worried.

  "I thought I could go down there on my own..." Rei said. "But then I got careless and did not think that I would be ambushed.

  Lei hears this and pces her hand on Rei's shoulder.

  "Sorry that I was not there for you." Lei said sadly. "I...I wish I could face my own fears if I were to follow you..."

  Rei said nothing as she remained on the bed. Lei looks down at her as it was the only thing that she could do. She sighed as she decided. She made a move and y down next to Rei. Silence was brought in the bedroom as Rei was looking at her direction at the door. Lei did not know what to say as she remained quiet.

  "Lei..."

  Lei hears Rei once again. The silence has been disrupted as she hears her voice.

  "Ye-yes?" Lei asked.

  "I...I thank you for staying at my side for the moment..." Rei said. "I feel better when you're here with me."

  Lei's eyes became shocked. She has never heard the words that came out of Rei, and she blushed. Her hands clenched and she felt speechless. Lei takes a deep breath as she felt overjoyed on what Shokei's ally said to her. Then, she made another move by wrapping her arms around Rei by her stomach. Rei felt Lei's arms holding her. She felt surprised by this action, but she decided to accept it and sighed with relief.

  "Promise me this." Lei said to her. "I don't want anything bad to happen to you. Just don't leave me behind. Please?"

  "...of..." Rei paused. She feels Lei holding her close and then said. "Of course."

  Lei heard the response and smiled.

  "I...I want to take a nap here." Rei said to her. "I hope you don't mind."

  "...not at all." Lei said to her.

  Rei slowly closed her eyes. She lies in the bed as she finds comfort to get some sleep. Lei felt tired herself as she closed her eyes to go to sleep. Despite what she did to Rei, she was gd that Shokei's ally did not find suspicion of her true form as a Necromutant.

  During that time, Shokei's party continues to fight against the demon, Amon, that was summoned by Hauntmystic. The fight against the demonic wolf was proven to be a challenge as the party is in deep water.

  "Geez! This monster's tough..." Kichiro said, holding himself back from fighting.

  "Ughh..." Saeko winced in pain on her right shoulder and said, "I don't know how much we can hold on together. This is not a demon to be messed with."

  "Oh noes." Marie said, feeling worried. "I sure wish our friends would come and help."

  The party can see that they were facing defeat. The demonic wolf with the serpent's tail roars out as it builds up enrage. Amon continues to attack the party with its fmes that spews out of its mouth. The party takes cover as the fmes reached the abandoned housings, scorching in a fiery inferno. The demon leaps in the air to stop the party in its tracks. Then, Amon used its tail to strike at the party. The tail struck the party with one big swing and all of them fell back on the floor. The party felt injured as they were damaged by the demon's tail. Marie lies on her back as she feels injured on her leg.

  "Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha..." Hauntmystic ughed as she is pleased to see Shokei's party are at their wits end. "It seems that these pathetic beings are no match for Amon. Now my pet, finish them off!!"

  Amon did as the demon brings its arms over its head. The sword that the monster wields has been turned into a wicked scythe. The weapon is long and sharp edged as it has a fire element on the tip of the bde. With the scythe in its hand, Amon approaches toward the struggling party.

  "...oh no..." Marie said, looking up at the scythe and became scared. "T-this is it..."

  Suddenly, a swarm of flying kunai-knives came out of nowhere. The knives hits Amon directly in the back. Amon felt the sharpness of the attack and turns around to see where the attack was coming from. Shokei's party notices that their situation has changed as their lives did not meet their end.

  "Wh-what the?!" Hauntmystic looks down as she saw that the final strike has been interrupted. "What's going on?!"

  The party looks to see that Amon has been struck with sharp knives in the back. The party can see that there is someone at the other end and is facing the demon. Marie, Mizuki, and the rest of the party can see a familiar face that they have met since yesterday.

  "H-hey!" Marie said and pointed out. "That ninja warrior! She saved us!"

  "Really?!" Saeko said. "What is she doing here?!"

  "That young ninja might have heard the demon from a distance." Mizuki said. "Fate has led her here."

  Matokai takes out another pair of kunai-knives and then makes a leap in the air. Then, she threw more knives towards the demon. Amon used its scythe as a shield to protect itself from the projectiles being thrown. Some of the knives passed through the demon's defense as it struck the monster in the chest, but with little damage. Matokai nds on her feet and was about to take out another weapon from her bag. Before she could do that, she quickly back flips away from Amon's scythe as the demon charged after her. Matokai quickly develops chi as she charged back at the demon with a hard knuckle on the chest. The demon takes the hit and then was struck with multiple palm attacks from the ninja. Matokai roars as she pummels the demon with charging knuckles and then made the final hit by jumping up to the demon with a powerful roundhouse kick on the head. Amon was caught off guard as it felt the chi effect being done on its senses and stumbles backwards. The demon lost its footing as it falls back on the floor.

  "Wow!" Marie said with awe, being up on her knee to witness the ninja's strength. "She's powerful."

  Matokai sees the monster fell back on the floor. Then, she gave Ohelio something to put it his mouth, which appears to be a medium sized smoke bomb. Matokai sends her Owlbear over to Shokei's party. The party sees Matokai's pet coming to them. Before they can interact, the Owlbear used his mouth to throw down the smoke bomb. The smoke bomb emits a green-type effect that surrounded the party. Marie feels the effect of the smoke trapping her and then she feels her leg being recovered magically. Her injuries are fading as she feels a sign of recovery.

  "Awww! That's better!" Marie said, feeling refreshed by the smoke.

  Shokei's party felt themselves being healed by the smoke around them. Their bodies felt energized and are recovering from their battle scars from the demon. The smoke was non-cough as it was helping them from suffering.

  "Ahhhh, I feel good as new!" Obsidian said, feeling relief from his injuries.

  "You and me both." Beatrice said.

  "That ninja saved our lives." Saeko said. "I really want to thank her for that."

  The smoke cleared and Shokei's party is back on their feet. Together, they see that Matokai is fighting the demon by herself. The demon is losing momentum as the ninja's fists were powerful to break through its defenses.

  "Everyone," Marie said to her party. "We can still defeat this demon while we can! We seriously need to help her out for what she done to us."

  "Yeah!" Beatrice agreed.

  "Absolutely!" Tamiko nodded.

  "Let's go then! We can still do this!" Mizuki said, gripping her dagger.

  The party fought as they all went after the demon.

  Naoko makes her move by charging up to the demon and delivered a pig-like fist uppercut. Ferron throws his gss bde in the air, made a leap for it to strike down hard towards the enemy on the ride side. The attack pierced through the skin of the enemy and removing the bde caused additional damage.

  "Enchanted Storm!"

  Mizuki developed and used her Geomancer ability against Amon. The clouds are formed together and rain begins to pour down on the enemy as it soaks the demon heavily. Amon cried out as it felt the rain touching its body. The demon went enraged as it wields its scythe at the party. The party takes cover as they avoid being struck by the enemy's weapon.

  Obsidian and Saeko team up to charge after the demon. Obsidian used his two-handed sword in his hand to pull a quick edge against the demon by big swings, dealing more damage on the enemy's body. Saeko builds up energy and then she grabs the enemy by the leg. With much strength that she can muster, Saeko takes the demon Amon for a spin and then she made a huge toss in the air. She makes a leap for it as she grips her spear with more energy.

  "Pierce Desotion!"

  Saeko delivers her attack towards Amon and her spear struck through the demon's chest. The demon came crashing down on the pavement while Saeko nds on her feet safely.

  "Woah! I have never seen you pull that one before." Naoko said with surprise.

  "Heh heh..." Saeko said. "I guess spending time with Rei was all worth it."

  The demon Amon was nearly defeated. The monster can still breath but with a short breath. The party looks to see that Amon is trying to get back on its feet. The piercing being done on the chest of the demon has been done and was losing much blood from its body. Just before the monster could react, the demon felt a fatal strike being done to its waist. A ssh across its body was dealt with the demon's scythe.

  Shokei's party can see that the demon has met its end. Amon felt its body lifeless as it was sliced in half. The monster's body has fallen to the ground and Matokai was responsible for killing the demon with its scythe. Amon has been defeated. The remains of the demon's body were covered in darkness as the corpse disintegrated into the air. The fight was over as Shokei's party became victorious for defeating the Necromutant's demon. The fmes that were done to the buildings and housings have disappeared.

  "Grrrr!! I won't forget this!" Hauntmystic said with a pissed attitude. She leaves the area immediately.

  With the Necromutant gone, Shokei's party confronts the ninja that saved them. Matokai was holding the scythe in her hand until she noticed that the weapon vanished away.

  "Aww geez!" Matokai said with disappointment. "And I thought this handy weapon would be a keeper."

  Matokai looks to see her Owlbear pet Ohelio returning to her.

  "Hey, thanks for saving us." Mizuki said to her.

  "Oh...oh yes, no problem." Matokai nodded.

  "You found your way to where we were fighting that damned demon." Marie said. "How did you know?"

  "You can thank Ohelio for that." Matokai said, looking at her bear. "Ohelio has a good sense to indicate a sign of danger. He felt the presence of trouble brewing. That is why we arrived here."

  "That expins a lot." Marie said, scratching her head.

  "I wonder how your pet can detect danger?" Mizuki wondered with curiosity.

  "Speaking of that, I saw some odd woman floating in the air." Matokai said and asked. "What was her purpose in the fight?"

  "That, we can tell you." Marie said to her. "We've encountered her before. She is an enemy of a group that called themselves the Necromutants of Chaos."

  "Long story short, they are after us for these sacred gems that we need to find within this world." Saeko said.

  "The demon that you and all of us fought was an example of their monsters that they summoned against us." Marie said.

  "...I see." Matokai said. "One thing that I've noticed is that there are strange activities taking pce here in Euna. There have been very odd creatures stalking around this forest. Ohelio and I had encountered these wild species."

  "Really?" Beatrice asked.

  "Definitely yes." Matokai said.

  Marie and Saeko look at each other. Then, they look back at Matokai.

  "Hmm, you know, we had a simir incident that occurred to us back at Malluarea." Marie said to her. "Only difference is that our pce we called home was wiped out by those evil forces."

  "That's terrible." Matokai said. "And you are the only survivors from that town?"

  "Yes." Saeko replied. "It was a travesty when we were coming back from a sea trip."

  "Hmmm..." Matokai thinks for a second. Then she said. "I'm sorry that you lost your people from Malluarea. It's hard to hear how a town would have fallen to those evil forces...those Necromutants right?"

  "Yeah." Marie said.

  "Do you think what happened here at Amon was the same fate as our hometown?" Beatrice asked.

  "That...well, that I don't know." Matokai replied. "I wasn't born around that era."

  "Oh." Beatrice said and shrugged.

  "Since we all have defeated the vile creature together, I would like to join you all within your party." Matokai said.

  "S-Seriously?" Mizuki blinked and asked.

  "Yes." Matokai nodded.

  "Sure!" Marie said happily. "You were a great help in recovering our injuries with that smokescreen you gave us."

  "Clerical Cloud." Matokai said. "I made that myself in times you need healing. It's a spiritual effect that has benefits to recover your injuries and conditions."

  "So that's what it is." Marie said. "Very interesting."

  "Speaking of that..." Matokai looks among Shokei's party and said. "Hmm, I don't see the rest of your allies. Especially your leader."

  "Shokei." Mizuki mentioned her name.

  "That's her name, right?" Matokai asked. "That woman that I recalled meeting..."

  "Yes, that's her." Mizuki said. "She really missed out on the action. However, we are more concerned for her safety as well as the others that are also missing."

  "I see." Matokai said. "To be fair, me and Ohelio are not the only one's around. I have two others that are part of my group."

  "Really?" Tamiko asked. "You never told us you had an alliance."

  "They are missing from me." Matokai said to the party. "I don't know where they went off to, but I'm in need of help at this matter."

  "And that is why you've joined us." Mizuki tells her. "We'll be gd to help."

  "Thanks." Matokai said and nodded.

  "Hooray!" Marie cheered. "Now you won't be alone after all."

  Ohelio moves in close to where Marie is. Marie backs away as the Owlbear stares at her.

  "Hmmph! He won't bite young one." Matokai said with a slight giggle. "Trust me, he trains along with me."

  "All right." Mizuki gets the party to her attention. "Now that we have someone new with us, we need to get back on board in finding Mariko's book. However, we need to find the rest of our allies."

  "I'm curious to where Sadako went off to at this time?" Naoko said with thought.

  "We'll be sure to look for her." Mizuki said. "Let us hope that nothing bad happened to her out there."

  "Maybe we should split up in groups to find our friends." Marie suggested.

  "Good idea." Mizuki said. "Let's split up while we're at it. Marie, you and your half search for Shokei and the others while the rest of us search for Sadako."

  "Got it." Marie agreed.

  The party divides in two and they begin their search for their missing allies.

  Somewhere in one of the housings, Sadako recovers from unconsciousness. She was put to a deep spell thanks to the hands by Bck Death. She even stretched her arms and legs to let her muscles loose. However, her head felt a slight migraine on the side, but it was not severe. Getting up, Sadako looks around to see that she was outside. However, she finds herself on top of a building, which is five stories up. Sadako backs away after viewing how far down was it from where she stands. Then, she looks around to find a way down and finds a roof hatch. She goes over to open it.

  "No! Its locked..." Sadako said.

  Feeling unsure of what to do, Sadako is trapped on top of a building. Not having an idea on why she was put there, she had no recalling on what happened when she encountered the Necromutants and she is feeling very worried. She felt trapped as she remained stuck in pce.

  "I...I'm trapped here." Sadako said, feeling worried. "...what is this...ohhh...some, somebody. Somebody, save me!"
