  All runes, which are naturally —under certain circumstances—on the bodies of beings are collectively referred to as Blood Ruhese include Talent Runes, Power Runes or also known as Essence Runes, Skill Runes, Ability Runes, Gift Runes, Blessing Ruc.

  Blood Runes in nearly all cases take shape from the blood of the being.

  In the case of Humans, although their Blood Ruake shape from blood, they are invisible to all others except for the individual.

  Humans Awakealents with the help of artifacts called Mirmirsker. And when a human Awakens their Talent they begin walking oh of Refi. All humans who possess a Talent are collectively called Talent Holders, Rune Bearers or simply Refiners.

  Many creatures posses Power Runes, but only humans posses a Talent Ruhe retionship betweewo types of runes is deeply ected and iwihe Power Runes provide the essence, while the Talent Rune dictate hoower be used.

  The Grades for humans are iion to the Talent Rune. While the Ranks are iion to the Power Rune. Grades for humans are mostly fixed. It is the Rank, their Power Ruhat is capable of advang.

  Abilities and Skills

  At each Rank, Talent Hain one new Ability and one new Skill.

  Abilities often have active effects, while Skills often have passive effects.

  Gifts

  Gifts are simirly created and obtain like Blessings, but rarer. They are a magical copy of the Nilgrim that was sin. They have the capacity for limited self-dire, but do not possess a soul, and thus are not alive. Just like Blessings, they are created from essend assume physical form only when summoned.

  They have the same Ranks and Grades as humans.

  The Rank indicate the quality of the Power Runes of the Gift, while the Grade indicate the breath of capabilities.

  Whispers

  Whispers are thought to be created by Nelum in the form of a natural occurreoo—simir to Gifts and Blessings— but more akin to a desert or a mountain f. They are often recreations of the past with an alternative development.

  Nilgrims

  Nilgrim do not posses Talent Runes. However, they also have Grades, whidicate the breath of power they wield at their Rank.
