  ---------------------------------------

[2059: You are born once again in Night City. Unlike st time, this time you have no parents. Maybe they abandoned you. Maybe they’re dead. But in Night City, that’s nothing new. No need to be surprised.]

[From the moment you could remember, you’ve been scraping by on Twisty Street in Westbrook.]

Westbrook — one of Night City’s six districts, home to the city's best entertainment. Especially Japantown, the go-to nightlife hub for middle-tier corpos blowing off steam.

You’re an orphan. A street rat. Barely surviving.

  Ages 3–6

As one of the few orphans on the street — and with memories from your past life — you quickly learn how to blend in. The adult world is cruel, but you manage to stay out of its way.

Even the usually arrogant and violent Tiger Cws treat you decently. The sexbots, programmed to drain every st eddie from their clients, show you unexpected pity. Shopkeepers toss you food now and then.

You’re clever. You do odd jobs — errands, deliveries, whatever keeps you fed. Some Tiger Cws even offer to teach you street survival tricks. With your innocent little face, you’d do well on Twisty Street.

But you politely refuse. You want to make it on your own.

That honesty earns you some respect. Like from Okada Wakako, the pachinko parlor owner. She even offers to take you in as her god-grandson.

  You decline.

You remember this world. You’ve pyed the game. Of course you’ve got a “my fate is mine alone” kind of mindset.

  Ages 7–8

Still a street kid. But your pride? Long gone.

Now all you feel is regret.

Why the hell didn’t you grab that big-shot’s leg when you had the chance?

So what if she was old and scary? You could’ve had it made!

You know what’s coming. In two or three years, the Unification War will start. Arasaka will return to Night City like an emperor reciming his throne. Everything will change.

And you? You’ve got no backing, no protection. No way you’ll survive the chaos.

Maybe the universe cut you some sck — because fate throws you another chance.

One stormy night, a mid-tier Kang Tao executive royally screws up and nds herself in serious trouble on Twisty Street.

Lucky for her — and you — you cross paths.

Thanks to your map knowledge and street instincts, you get her out of the mess.

  Ages 8–12

  You hit the jackpot.

  She adopts you.

Kang Tao — a top-tier megacorp — treats its people well. “Only” 14-hour shifts, and if you sign a 50-year contract, you even get a Trauma Team Gold Membership.

She’s not top brass, but she gives you a comfortable life. She treats you like her own.

And you? You occasionally “slip up” and mention future events. Stuff like the 2069–2070 Unification War. Arasaka’s big comeback. Even smaller things like the Avian Extinction Campaign of 2061.

With those “predictions,” she climbs the dder fast.

  Age 12

Arasaka establishes Arasaka Academy to expand its grip on Night City. It has both secondary and university departments. Graduates go straight into the corporation.

Curious about the school — and seeing it as an opportunity to network with upper-css elite kids — your adoptive mother enrolls you.

  Ages 13–16

  Welcome to hell.

School is brutal. Turns out this world’s even more cutthroat than Earth was.

Homework never ends. You barely have time to breathe.

You find yourself yelling, “Why the fuck is it still 996 in 2077 — even for students?!”

During this grind, you meet someone interesting: David Martinez.

  Same age. Same css.

You dig into his background — single mom, EMT at Night City Medical Center.

No way someone like him should be in Arasaka Academy. Something doesn’t add up.

But you hit it off. You give him extra supplies you don’t need. He shares some bootleg braindances.

  Age 17

  You start skipping css.

2077 is around the corner — the year everything begins.

You don’t know what V looks like. Their gender. Hell, you don’t even know if V is supposed to be your character.

But you don’t want to miss the story.

You don’t want to be some extra in a history-making event. So you start training hard, letting your studies slide.

  Then the rumors start.

David’s mom dies. He knocks out a cssmate. Then he drops out.

You barely pay attention. You’re too busy trying to power up.

  Months pass.

Then, one day, you hear the bombshell:

David Martinez became a legend at Afterlife.

Afterlife — Night City’s most exclusive merc bar. Just walking in is a badge of honor. Becoming a legend there?

  That means you’re dead.

Because in Night City, no legends live long. Or live at all.

You’re stunned. This wasn’t in the 2077 game.

Must’ve been from some future DLC.

Back in your past life, you were one of those poor suckers who pre-ordered Cyberpunk 2077. Only pyed version 1.0. What the hell would you know?

You start digging. And you learn:

David Martinez — cyberpsycho.Wrecked Militech. Wrecked Arasaka.Stormed Arasaka Tower under a full moon.Died to Adam Smasher.

That’s all you know — the final boss. A dude V can shred in seconds.

  What a joke.

  You sigh.

But hey — none of that matters anymore.

  Age 18

You spend the year training. You think you’ve “mastered” your skills.

With your adoptive mother’s support, you get outfitted with top-tier cyberware.

You start taking gigs. Solo jobs. Each one boosts your confidence.

Your name’s getting around. You pn your rise.

You want into Afterlife. You wait for V to arrive.

And then, finally, the day comes.

  You qualify.

You walk into Afterlife, heart pounding…

And see a drink on the menu:

David MartinezVodka on the rocks, bullet gss, spsh of Tiny Coke?.“A glorious life. A glorious death.”

  You freeze.

You’re mildly allergic to alcohol — but you still order it. And drink it.

A tribute to your former cssmate.

That night, you make a vow:

“If all legends die, then I’ll be the one who lives.”

  A month or two ter…

Someone sets their sights on your chrome.

  You’re walking the streets.

And a gang of scavs jumps you and rips out your kidneys.

  You die.

Lin Mo:“Are you fucking kidding me? You hyped me up like a legend… and I die getting organ-farmed by street rats?!”

  Wait…

  Actually, that kinda checks out.

Even V could get jumped by scavs if they weren’t careful. And you're nowhere near that level.

  [Simution Summary & Rewards Incoming]

Evaluation:“Fell before his time, a hero undone — his tears wet his armor, his story unsung.”

  Rewards:

  Lin Mo hesitated.

Originally, he just wanted the loot. No need to relive a whole life.

But now… he wasn’t so sure.

Just getting the chrome without the training or experience?

Would he even survive in the real world?

Hell, he died here. Gutted by scavs.

And who knew if he’d ever get another chance to simute?

“If I choose to experience this life… is it real or fake?” he asked.

[In immersive simution, everything is real.Your soul will inhabit the Cyber World and truly live that life.]
