Chapter 14: The Top Student

  Although he did not access the Sage Body, Izayoi was kind of regretful.

  Summoning the Uzumaki Bloodline, however, was already rather lucky.

  The bloodline of the Uzumaki, as well as that of the Senju, Uchiha, and Kaguya cns, came from a division of the Otsutsuki cn.

  Since they were progenies of the Sage Body, the Uzumaki and Senju cns possessed powerful vitality and an enormous reserve of chakra.

  Besides being masters of sealing arts, the Uzumaki cn also possessed three pinnacle superior talents.

  Those three talents were: Kagura Mind's Eye, Adamantine Sealing Chains, and Physical Regeneration.

  Kagura Mind's Eye was one of the most powerful sensory jutsu in the ninja world.

  Adamantine Sealing Chains were defense and offense, and even could be used to create seals and perform sealing techniques, tailed beasts included and even failed to escape if sealed.

  Physical Regeneration used chakra to heal one's own or other individuals' wounds, and its effect was very potent.

  The three of them were all A-level support abilities.

  However, just like the Uchiha cn members were not all capable of awakening the Sharingan, the members of the Uzumaki cn were not all capable of awakening these three unique powers.

  In the original source material, Naruto Uzumaki never awakened any powers before he earned the recognition of Kurama.

  After earning the recognition of Kurama, he did possess the same sense ability as Mito Uzumaki.

  As to why he didn't activate the other abilities, either the true Sage Body was too overpowered, or the original creator didn't wish to provide him with more cheats.

  However, it was undeniable that Naruto Uzumaki not only possessed the Uzumaki Bloodline, but also, as the reincarnation of Asura's chakra, the level of this bloodline's purity was extremely high.

  And then, Izayoi called out the Uzumaki Bloodline of Naruto Uzumaki. If he was lucky, he could awaken one of the three special abilities.

  And if he awakened all three special abilities like Karin, then he would be at the highest level in the ninja world in terms of sensing, sealing, and healing.

  Even if he didn't wake up any special powers, he would at least retain the excellent vitality from the Sage Body, which wasn't bad at all.

  Izayoi happily put away the light screen and watched the duels on the ground.

  While round after round of duels were decided, the taijutsu duels soon ended.

  And then there was the st exam, the recently added survival exercise.

  But prior to beginning the survival training, Umino Iruka first took the students to the infirmary for medical attention.

  Umino Iruka then took the students to the equipment room and let Izayoi and the others choose the equipment.

  All these equipments were sufficient in the use of the stealth technique.

  Compared to the bell grabbing survival training of Genin, the survival training in the ninja academy was all hide-and-seek, primarily testing the students' ability at stealth, Body Flicker Technique, and the Three Transformation Techniques.

  The best of them would receive high grades or even full marks.

  If they performed poorly, they would get a chance simir to the Chunin Exams. If they could not perform better still, they would be eliminated.

  This kind of test was naturally not difficult for Izayoi to accomplish, as he had already mastered the Three Transformation Techniques.

  He breezed through to the final of the time and achieved another perfect score.

  Although the mark sheets would not be published until next semester in April, the title of css leader was already in Izayoi's back pocket.

  "Hinata, come to the same pce tomorrow."

  "Okay!"

  After school, Izayoi and Hinata parted at a crossing, making an appointment as usual.

  Although Izayoi would not take Hinata to the deserted training ground before the Uchiha cn was wiped out, he did not stop cultivating with Hinata.

  It was only that the training ground had been substituted by the school pyground or Izayoi's backyard.

  The Nine-Tails' Rebellion did not set fire to Izayoi's house.

  Both his parents, ninjas themselves, left him with a two-storey freestanding house with a small backyard as inheritance.

  The students in first grade and fifth grade celebrated to have been advanced and began shifting from one css to another.

  The vacant first grade also took in the new students who passed the entrance examination.

  The bulletin board's front was filled with students today.

  First-grade freshmen were checking out their cssrooms.

  Students of other grades were looking at the outcome of their respective grades' principal examinations.

  "Hey. Izayoi-kun, did you notice the result on the bulletin board?"

  "Great, Izayoi, you've ranked number one in our grade!"

  "As to be expected of Izayoi, even Sasuke-kun is no match for you."

  "Izayoi is number one student, and Hinata is second. The two cssfellows have taken the number one and number two positions, you're so strong!"

  Izayoi had just arrived at the new cssroom when he was attacked by cssfellows, male and female.

  Izayoi wasn't irritable, but smiled and chatted with them for a very long time.

  From what they told him, he learned that Izayoi was number one, and the second pce was not Sasuke Uchiha but Hinata.

  Izayoi was not surprised.

  Hinata's score for the cultural css was already number one.

  In the original Chunin Exams, among the twelve rookies, only she and Sakura Haruno did not need to cheat.

  With his help, Hinata, who had mastered tree climbing and water walking in the first grade, was no longer timid, didn't care about others during battles, and was very decisive, would lose to Sasuke Uchiha? Izayoi might as well eat a piece of tofu and kill himself.

  Sasuke Uchiha ought to be grateful that he did not face Hinata in the taijutsu competitions, or he would not even be able to hold on to the third pce.

  Hinata still arrived a bit earlier than Izayoi.

  With the greetings exchanged, they started discussing.

  "Izayoi-kun, congratutions on being the top student."

  Hinata had obviously seen the result on the bulletin board.

  Izayoi smiled too and continued, "Congratutions on coming in second pce. Now your father won't restrict you from going out anymore."

  "Yes, yes."

  Hinata nodded repeatedly, with a bright smile on her face.

  Obviously, she also knew that her and Izayoi's deception had been observed by her father long ago.

  But Hinata wasn't grounded, but was allowed to go out without any limitations, which implied that her and Izayoi's retionship was tacitly approved by her father.

  Given that she was typically spotted practicing walking on water in the house, but wasn't asked questions, Hinata felt that it must be reted to her improvement.

  As she had pced second in the grade, and Izayoi, her instructor, was the top student.

  If her father knew, he would undoubtedly know Izayoi even better.

  Thinking of this, Hinata couldn't help but be in good spirits.
