Noelia spent his days sleeping, reading or lost in his thoughts. Noelia was still heartbroken, the news of Maria being with someone else disheartened him greatly. Although he k was selfish for him to want Maria, he couldn’t deny the love he had for her, the feelings he developed.

  His behavior went on and on even weeks. Rosa aian noticed it, Noelia’s behavior had bee uhy for his mental health. Rosa went to Noelia’s room to che him. She wao see what was going on with her son. Rosa k the door but no response. She knocked for the sed and still had no response so she decided to open the door to see Noelia’s dead expression. He looked as if he had no soul.

  “Mijo, is something b you? You’ve been like this for weeks, it’s uhy.” said Rosa.

  Noelia ignored his mother’s words and tio sit at the er quietly. Rosa approached Noelia and put her hand on his shoulder.

  “Noelia, I’m your mother. You tell everything.” said Rosa with a smile.

  “Maria… I loved her, but… she’s with someone else and I felt devastated.” said Noelia

  “Well mijo, if you truly love her then you should let her go. I’m sure if Maria’s happy, you’re happy. Besides, there are still more beautiful and kind women out there. You might get someoer.” said Rosa.

  Noelia stayed quiet and didn’t feel a glimpse of hope.

  “So what if Maria had a boyfriend, at least you still be friends,” said Rosa.

  “Now cheer up, my son. You ’t be sad everyday.” Rosa replied.

  Suddenly Sebastian came up to Noelia’s room. He told someone wao meet him. Noelia was fused on who wao meet him. As Noelia went downstairs, the person was Jay, he wasn’t expeg it.

  “Noelia!” Jay called out.

  The two were outside the bakery far from people. Noelia questioned how Jay knew where he lived. Noelia became suspicious of Jay. Jay told Noelia to rex and stop making the versation more of an interrogation.

  “Anyways, I came to ask if you are free tomorrow. Me and my friends are going to hang out.” said Jay.

  Noelia didn’t really want to go as he was feeling down but he remembered what his mother said. So, Noelia relutly agreed to join. Jay told Noelia to meet him at the bus stop at 1 PM.

  Noelia went back to the bakery aian asked what they talked about. Noelia said that he was just io a hangout. Sebastian asked if he was Maria’s friend but it was incorreoelia then told his elder brother to stop being obsessed with Maria’s retion with him and focus on the bakery and his retion with his wife. Manuel, who was behiian, ughed at him.

  “Oh my God, did you just get burned?” said Manuel, tinuingly ughing.

  Noelia woke up te at 11 AM the day but didn’t bother to care. He suddenly remembered that he was going to hang out with Jay and his friends. Noelia got himself ready and headed for the bus stop where he would meet Jay at 1 PM.

  Noelia arrived at the bus stop on time. He saw Jay and his friends, Jay waved and greeted Noelia. Jay introduoelia to his friends. Noelia asked Jay where they will be going. Jay and his friends were going to hang out at the mall by bus. The bus would take them there as the mall they were going to has a bus stop nearby.

  The group ehe bus as soon as it arrived. The bus wasn’t crowded so they mao sit together. Noelia sat o a girl who was one of Jay’s friends. She notioelia’s facial expression. She asked Noelia if he was feeling okay but Noelia scoffed it off and told her to not bother asking.

  The girl insisted but got turned down by Noelia. The girl kept on insisting then her cousin who was also one of Jay’s friends told her to stop. Noelia sighed and agreed to tell but he wouldn’t spill the details. Noelia only said that an unpleasa happeo him. The girl asked about the event but Noelia didn’t want to answer. He told the girl that he would tell one day, they retly just met so Noelia wouldn’t tell.

  The group exited the bus as soon as it arrived at the bus stop he mall. Noelia’s face hadn’t ged since he went to the bus stop.

  The girl noticed again and said “Don’t be all frowny, cheer up! Let’s have some fun.”

  “Sure… I guess.” said Noelia with a dead tone

  “Don’t be like that! By the way, I haven’t told my name. I’m Remmy.” said Remmy.

  “Hey guys! Are you going or not?” Jay yelled from a distance.

  The group wondered what activity to do first. Mark suggested going to the arcade first. They all agreed on going to the arcade. They went to an arcade and Jay told everyohat they split up o together, it is up to them to decide. Firstly, they went to a cw mae that was filled with prizes. Jay ied a and began pying.

  While the others were busy with the mae. Noelia quietly went to an unoccupied o there was ohing. Noelia didn’t know how to operate a cw mae. Remmy appeared from behind asking if Noelia needed help whioelia shyfully nodded.

  Noelia ied a and Remmy began to move the cw. Remmy demonstrated and expined how to use a cw mae. Remmy told Noelia that he shouldn’t expect first tries because it doesn’t always happen.

  “There. Do you want to try?” Remmy asked.

  Noelia moved the joystick carefully and watched as the e moved. Noelia pressed the button which made the e down and it grabbed a prize. Noelia mao get one in his first try, maybe it was luoelia got a small key with a small doll in it.

  As a token of gratitude for teag him, he gave the item to Remmy as a gift. Remmy was surprised but she rejected the gift. Noelia won the prize so it should be his but Noelia insisted which then Remmy accepted the item.

  “Hey guys, some of us are hungry. Wanna go to the food court?” Jay asked.

  “Sure!’ said Noelia and Remmy.

  The group exited the arcade with the prizes they wohey went straight to the food court. Mark seemed to be the first oo the food court, he must be starving. Mark told them that he was going to buy food thehers went to find some seats before they ordered some food.

  “Hey Noelia, do you mind if I call you Noel instead? It’s much shorter.” Remmy asked

  “Sure?” said Noelia.

  “So Noel, do you often go here?” Remmy asked.

  “No, I don’t often go here so I’m also not familiar with this pce.” said Noelia

  “Do you wao show you around? I'm quite familiar with it since I went to this mall multiple times.” Remmy replied

  Remmy showed Noelia around the mall on what it has and pces to go. There are nice restaurants and cafes in the mall as Remmy told Noelia. While Remmy was giving him a tour, she sahotobooth.

  “There’s a photobooth, let’s take pictures!” said Remmy with excitement.

  “Alright…?” said Noelia.

  Remmy and Noelia went ihe photobooth and took pictures. They use various poses or even try to make funny faces. Both of them began to start having fun and Noelia felt happy again. They were having fun to the point that they did not realize the time. The group must’ve finished eating at the food court.

  They hurriedly went back to search for the group. They went to the food court and luckily the others were still there. Remmy and Noelia ran as fast as they could and reached there with their breath almost running out.

  “Sorry it took so long, we were having fun without realizing the time, right Noelia?” said Remmy while huffing.

  “Yeah, we actually did have fun.” said Noelia tiredly.

  “Well alright, we’re going head bae si’s 6 PM already.” said Jay

  The group exited the mall after a long day ao the bus stop. They rested oop, Remmy and Noelia seemed to enjoy it the most. They almost couldn’t feel their legs.

  “Did you have fun with us, Noel?” Remmy asked.

  “Yes, I didn’t realize that I had fun before. Thanks for making it fun.” Noelia answered.

  “No problem, gd to hear that!” Remmy replied with a smile.

  The bus arrived and they all boarded the bus. The hangout exhausted them and they felt sleepy, some of them began to fall asleep. Remmy started to feel sleepy, Noelia asked if she was alright. Remmy said that she was sleepy and she was going to sleep.

  “Wake me up if we arrive at the stop.” she said.

  “Yeah, I’ll do it.” Noelia replied

  “Thanks.” said Remmy, smiled ao sleep.

  After that, Noelia also felt sleepy but he tried his best to stay awake. Noelia unfortunately fell asleep. The bus stopped to let new passengers in. One of the new passengers reized Noelia, they were Maria ahan. They didn’t bother Noelia since he was sleeping.

  Maria saw a girl sleeping and leaning on Noelia’s shoulder. She somehow felt bothered at the sight but she tried not to think about it. Maria kept looking at Noelia and the girl beside him. She looked away as the girl began to move but slept again.

  Maria ahan arrived at their stop and boarded out the bus. Maria couldn’t stop thinking about what she saw. Ethan noticed and asked about her expression but Maria said to not worry. Perhaps Maria had e to a clusion that Noelia was already with someone else.

  Jay woke the others up as they finally arrived at their destinatiohey all got out.

  Jay and Mark went to their respective homes. Noelia offered Remmy to be apanied on her way home but she kindly deed. She ah would walk home together as Beth was staying at Remmy’s for a night. They waved each oodbye auro their homes.

  Noelia arrived back at his home a upstairs. Befoing up, Rosa asked Noelia where he went, he answered that he went to hang out with his friends. He took a bath and ged into his sleeping clothes. Although it was 7 PM, he decided to sleep early as he was tired.
