After meeting with my mother and having dinner together, Sanae, Mom and I logged into the game with Sanae borrowing Hikari's Dive Gear as the three of us worked to grind Mom's level up to the minimum required level for the Umbra Lord of Marionettes boss raid.

  Of course, we went with the usual method since it has proven its effectiveness. As they say, if it ain't broken, don't fix it.

  During that time, Mom was having the time of her life.

  "Woo hooo hooo~!"

  As Bane and his clones continuously run over monsters and pyers alike, Mom was pointing out his next targets.

  "Enemies spotted at three o'clock!"

  "Oh! Right there! Unsuspecting pyers at 10 o'clock!"

  "There there there! A group of young pyers straight ahead! Let's **** them up!"

  "Your mother sure is enthusiastic." Sanae remarked.

  "She just really loves video games. But that aside, I'm surprised you can see well in this darkness, Mom. When did you acquire the Night Vision skill?" I asked Mom, assuming that she has the same skill as I do, being a fellow Dark Elf character.

  "When I started pying the game, sweetie. The guard at the beginning town gave me the Lamp Bug which lowers monster encounter rate when its butt is lit. But after a while, it sort of got boring. So I thought, why not off the lights for a moment? And so I did. Afterwards, stuff happened and I ended up getting the Night Vision as well as another skill called Night Walker. Sweet, ain't it?"

  "Yeah. That's basically how I got those skills too."

  We continued the grind, killing pyers and monsters alike. However, I noticed that we are killing more pyers than monsters today. In fact, they seemed to be well prepared, moving cautiously and with multiple tanks in their party to boot. Almost like they were expecting a big monster to come and hunt them down.

  But regardless, their defenses weren't a match for the stampede of Banes who simply overrun them like a truck.

  That being said, it's still pretty odd.

  "Say, is there like an area boss monster or event going on in this forest?" I asked the group.

  "Not that I know of. Why do you ask?" Sanae replied.

  "It's just that we have been running into and killing more pyers than monsters this time, aren't we?"

  "Is that so? I haven't really notice."

  "I'd say that we are."

  "Eh. Whatever, sweetie. That just means more EXP for mama! Get 'em, Bane!"

  "Skrreeeeee!!!"

  Mom and Bane proceeded on with the chaos, while Sanae and I sitting on Bane simply just rexed as we watched the friendship between those two blossom through the blood of their prey.

  It did not take long after that for Mom to reach the minimum recommended level of 35 for the Umbra Lord of Marionettes raid boss.

  Incidentally, I became level 45 while Sanae is now level 41.

  "Alright. Looks like we are done with what we came here for. Shall we return to the city and logout now?" I asked the party.

  Since Sanae is over at our house, it wouldn't be fun just pying the VRMMORPG game when it can be done anytime. Besides, because Sanae is borrowing Hikari's Dive Gear, Hikari couldn't join us whom I'm sure by now would be bored out of her mind, waiting for us to return.

  "Okay. Let's go." Sanae replied, agreeing with me.

  On the other hand...

  "No."

  Mom was not willing to leave. And so was Bane.

  "Momma wants more bloodshed."

  "Skreeeee..."

  They have bonded more than we have thought.

  Sanae and I looked at each other and nodded.

  "Moon Walk." I said, teleporting behind Mom to restraint her.

  "What the—!?"

  "Akatsuki."

  "I know. Take a breather, Bane." Said Sanae, as she puts Bane back into his orb.

  "No! Bane! My best friend! How dare you!?"

  "He's not dead, Mom."

  "That's what they always say! But then no appearance of them ever appear again!"

  "Who the heck is 'they'!? Anyways, contain your bloodlust, Mom!"

  "Never! I need more power!"

  "What power!? You're a healer for ****'s sake!"

  "And I decide who lives and who dies! So release me, heathen! In the name of the Lord and Saviour, Gabe Newell, I demand you let me go on a rampage!"

  "Heck no! And why the heck did you choose Gabe as your Lord and Saviour!?"

  "Because he is one!"

  It took a while and some threats— I mean, convincing... But Mom finally calmed down as we all returned to the City of Arialight and logged out.

  She won't go Leeroy Jenkins on us when we face the raid boss, will she?

  Opening my eyes after logging out from the game, I find a wild Hikari sitting on me on my bed. As well as our new member to the family, Miko, sitting on my chest.

  "So, you're finally awake."

  "Meow~"

  "What are you doing on me, Hikari?" I questioned with heavy breath, feeling both of their weights on me.

  My sister has gotten fatter, hasn't she?

  "Bro, there's something important I need to discuss with you!"

  "And what does sitting on top of me in my bed have to do with that?"

  "Because it's important!"

  "Right... I fail to see the corretion."

  "Meow~"

  "Oh. Is that right, Miko?"

  "Meooow."

  "Bro, since when can you speak cat?"

  "Is that relevant right now? What's the important thing you needed to discuss with me about?"

  "About that, Bro." Hikari wore a serious look on her face. "You need to invite Sis Sanae over more often."

  "Huh? Why?" I asked, being confused.

  Does she like Sanae that much? Well, she does. But I doubt it's to the point where she will want her visiting more often.

  It's got to be something else.

  "Bro, have not notice yet!?"

  "Notice what?"

  "Mom! Did you not realise anything about her during the entire time you had Sis over?"

  What the hell is my little sister talking about?

  "Of course I did." I replied. "Besides that stupid 'Godmother' suit, Mom was dressed fairly nice— Wait..."

  And that's when I finally fucking realised...

  "Oh my god. Mom was dressed the entire time!"

  "Took you long enough!"

  Mom was dressed. And the reason for it was because of Sanae visiting. So wait. That means...

  "Sanae is the key to bringing us world peace."

  "No. She is the key to bringing us intergactic peace."

  "My god..."

  Never would I have imagined having a girlfriend would have this sort of power.

  "I understand, sister. I will bring Sanae over more often. Wait, no... I got an even better idea!"

  "Which is?"

  "Meow?"

  "I will ask Sanae to move into our house! That way, Mom will have to permanently wear for the rest of her life!"

  "Oh my god. Brother, you're a genius!"

  Except that this idea has one potential fw. And that is if Sanae got used to Mom, allowing Mom to go full commando once more and ruining the peace again.

  "Ah. But bro..." Hikari then said, "how are you going to ask Sis to move in with us?" She asked.

  "Obviously, through the proper way." I answered.

  "And what is the 'proper way', my brutha?"

  "What do you think? Summer is coming up in about a month from now. I'm sure you understand what I intend to do."

  "Summer... Summer break...Summer festival... O.O! AAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!"

  It took a while, but Hikari understood my pn.

  "Bro, you're moving too quickly! You got to wait at least a hundred chapters more before you can do that."

  "Don't treat my romance life like those rom-com manga."

  But anyways, with the summer holidays coming up, I intend to propose to Sanae by the end of that holiday when the summer festivals take pce.

  I actually had enough money saved up for a ring already. The only thing for me to do is to buy one and wait.

  But still, to think that it will be summer so soon.

  "Wait..." I looked at Hikari.

  "What's wrong, bro?"

  "Summer break is coming up. Have you studied for your mid-term exam yet?" I asked her.

  "Ah." She replied, indicating no.

  "Hikari." I narrowed my eyes, giving her the mixed look of anger and disappointment as Hikari cowered in fear.

  "Hey Bro, look... Weren't we supposed to kill that raid boss like you wanted?" Hikari brought up a fair point which I can't argue.

  "Fine." I said. "We will defeat Pinocchio tomorrow first. But after that, no more games for you until the end of your mid-term exams."

  "What? No! At least give me a two hour gaming break for that!"

  "One hour. But no more. And I will be supervising you as well to make sure that you study proper. Understood?"

  "Aye aye, sir! Can I bring Himeji to the study session as well?"

  "If she's free, then you may. Now get off me. I need to use the washroom."

  "Ok."

  "You too, Miko."

  "Meow..."
