Chapter 44

  MINATO NAMIKAZE

  Even on the day of his coronation, had he not been so nervous, as today, as he found himself beside his screaming wife, as Biwako-san and the midwives helped Kushina give birth to their son.

  “AGHHHHHH!” she screamed again, trying to push out the child, as her nails bit into his hand.

  “You are doing very well, Kushina-kun,” encouraged Biwako-san as he looked on nervously.

  “Just a bit more,” she encouraged, as Kushina sweated, and cried. Their eyes met briefly, and he could feel the nine tails seal strain, despite all the precautions they had taken as she took in a small breath and followed the midwives word.

  “AGHHHHH!” she screamed, as he found himself helpless, until suddenly her cry stopped, and the room filled with silence.

  “GWAHHHH!” and it was broken by another cry. This one much softer and lighter, than the one from earlier, as he turned around and saw Biwako-san holding a babe in her arms as she smiled.

  “It is done,” she said, smiling at him, as the midwives cmped the cord and wrapped it in cloth.

  “You have been blessed with a son,” and he could not believe it, as he looked at Kushina and whispered.

  “Thank you,” and she nodded, her face pale and sweaty.

  “It is finally done,” and Biwako-san carried the child towards them as she showed it to Kushina.

  “He has Minato’s hair,” and the little hair on his head were indeed yellow like his own, as Kushina smiled, caressing it with her hand.

  “Well, at least he won’t get bullied for his hair.” Then suddenly, the chakra in the room shifted as Kushina scrunched up in agony.

  “GUGH!” and his eyes immediately went towards the seal, which had become weak.

  “Get back,” he said to Biwako-san and the rest.

  “I need to reinforce the sea...” Yet before he could finish his words, suddenly, the entire room shook, and he felt his heart drop, as a massive explosion echoed into the distance.

  “What is happening?” a few midwives, gasped in fear, while few fell to their knees.

  And though they could not know why, he could feel the thick chakra gushing through the air, as sounds of screams and explosions rocked their ears.

  And it could only mean one thing.

  The vilge was under attack.

  There were a hundred questions running through his mind in that moment. About who it was? How had they done it? And why was the air thick with bijuu chakra?

  And he would have answers for them all soon. Yet, they had prepared for this.

  “You need to go,” Kushina whispered as she gnced at him.

  “The vilge,” and she did not need to say anymore.

  “No,” he said, putting his hand over her seal. This had to be done first.

  “I left the command in Fuagaku’s hand exactly for something like this. He will be able to handle things for some time. Whoever has attacked us must be aware of the seal’s vulnerability. I need to secure the seal to protect you and the nin....”

  “AGHHHH!” and suddenly, he heard the midwives' screams as their bodies fell to the ground, as his head snapped to the side, and he watched a masked man standing there, holding his son in his arms with a kunai pointed at his neck.

  “Get away from the jinchuriki, Hokage.” his voice was thick, and a bck cloak covered his entire body as Biwkao-san and the midwives bled on the ground.

  “Naruto!” Kushina screamed as Minato found himself stunned, forced into choosing between his wife and son.

  “I said get away from the jinchuriki....” and he watched as the masked nin threw Naruto into the air, as he raised his kunai.

  “SAVE HIM!” and Kushina’s whisper pushed him into action, as he blurred through the air and cradled the babe in his arms before suddenly noticing the paper bombs the masked ninja had attached to his bnket.

  “SHIT!” he cursed as he removed the bnket and flew out the window as the shed behind him blew up.

  BOOOM!

  “NO!” he gasped as he turned around and saw the shed get reduced to rubble, yet Kushina was still alive. Whoever this opponent was, they were smart and they seemed to know him and his abilities rather well.

  They had also broken through his barriers, and that meant that this was a well-coordinated attack.

  SWISH!

  “I won’t let you destroy everything I have built,” he promised himself as he vanished into the room he had prepared for Kushina and their child, as the little babe in his arms cried and wailed.

  He walked up to the cot in the center of the room and gently put him on the bed, and with one final look, he turned around as he armed himself with all his kunai and his Hokage cloak as he vanished once more with a final whisper.

  “Just hold on, little one....”

  “...I will be right back.”

  CHING!

  And this time, he appeared atop the Hokage faces, looking down at the vilge which was being decimated by a beast quite familiar to him.

  “The Sanbi,” he gasped, as he saw the bijuu rampaging on one side of the vilge as sirens rang loud, and the people ran around.

  “Dragon!” he called out, while he tried to search for Kushina and the ANBU captain emerged at his command.

  “Give me a report,” he ordered.

  “It is Kirigakure, Yondaime-sama. They have somehow managed to cut through our defenses and are wreaking havoc across the vilge. They have somehow managed to release the Sanbi, and our forces are trying to push him out of the vilge,” and this was not a simple attack.

  No, this was a coordinated effort, and yet if this was Kiri’s doing, then who was that masked man who had attacked Kushina? And those eyes—those red eyes.

  And now his choice was difficult once more. Rin, or Kushina. He had to choose,

  And before he could, another voice cut through the air.

  “It is the Seven Ninja Swordsmen,” he said, looking around and seeing Fugaku Uchiha nd right behind him as the Uchiha cn leader looked at him.

  “Where is Kushina?” he asked as Minato’s lips thinned.

  “We were attacked as well, and the enemy has captured her as well. I am trying to locate her using a seal, but they have pnned it well,” he added, as the Uchiha cn leader’s face turned cold.

  “What are your orders, Minato?” another voice cut in and they were joined by the Third Hokage as well, who appeared cd in his warring outfit, as he finally found himself reaching a pn.

  “Lord Third, you and the ANBU shall deal with Kiri forces.” Given the man’s wealth of knowledge and skills, he would be the best person suited to deal with the varied skills of the Kirn forces.

  “As you say,” and the Third was away, vanishing along with the ANBU commander who dispersed, leaving him alone with Fugaku-san.

  “Have the Uchiha cn back them up, but the Sanbi. I will need you to stop it, Fugaku-san. " He looked the man in the eye, hoping he understood his intentions.

  The Sanbi was a bijuu, and right now, it was the greatest threat to their vilge, causing the most significant amount of destruction. It needed to be controlled at once if Konoha was to recover from this.

  “Can you do it?” he asked, and the man nodded.

  “It will be done.” Suddenly, they heard a massive roar, and he gnced back and saw the massive-tailed beast gathering chakra in its mouth.

  And he quickly recognised the attack. It was the very attack that had inspired him to develop his signature technique, the Rasengan.

  He could not let the attack hit the vilge.

  Just as he was about to step forward, the Uchiha cn leader stepped forward, stopping him. His eyes turned red and shifted, changing into an entirely different pattern from the regur three tomoe-Sharingan.

  “Go,” he said, as Minato felt a massive surge of chakra from the man, and the bijuu gathered a massive purple orb in its jaws.

  “Leave this to me.” And he had finally tracked Kushina, and with a final exchange of gnces, he turned around, trusting the vilge and Rin into his hands as he teleported himself to where Kushina was.

  “Thank you....”

  FUGAKU UCHIHA

  Fugaku watched Minato vanish as he stepped forward and looked at the giant beast aiming its attack at him. This was not a simple attack.

  No. This was too well coordinated. The Kiri forces attacking them, and wreaking havoc, and the way the enemy had targeted their two jinchuriki’s spoke of knowledge and and ability that few could muster.

  And the bijuu. The wat it was moving and attacking. It was not entirely erratic.

  It was being controlled, and there were but few powers who could control a bijuu.

  “Fugaku-sama,” and as he prepared himself to face off against the mighty Three Tails, his second-in-command appeared behind him.

  “What is it Kazuma?” he asked, as the three tails roared in the distance.

  “It is the elders, Fugaku-sama. They are ordering our people to stand down and focus on evacuating,” and the words made his blood boil as he turned to the vice commander of the Police Force.

  “I am the cn leader, and it is I who decides how the cn shall act. Ignore the elders. Follow my command and mobilise the entire cn,” and the air rumbled as the beast roared and opened its mouth.

  “TAILED BEAST BOMB!” and Fugaku pushed himself into the air, as his eyes burned.

  “I will not have the Uchiha name sullied!” he ordered, as he jumped towards the Bijuu’s attack, as his chakra roared at his command, as blood dripped down his face, and a red hue spread around him, as he revealed ultimate weapon to the Vilge.

  “You will not y a hand on this vilge while I still stand,” he thundered as his jutsu appeared, and the legendary technique of the Uchiha made its appearance.

  A giant red skeletal warrior emerged around him, as his Susanoo took form.

  BOOOOM!

  At his command, it raised its shield, stopping the Bijuu’s attack in its path as his feet dug through the ground. However, he did not relent as the giant warrior tilted the shield, forcing the attack into the air.

  TING!

  BOOOM!

  The attack exploded, causing a massive shockwave, as the bijuu turned to face him, realising the danger that he posed as the vilge around him stilled.

  But he was not done yet as Fugaku ran forward, and his Susanoo roared at his command, and grabbed the three tails’s body, as he appeared infront of the men trying to keep the beast at bay.

  “I pn to push the beast out of the vilge,” he said as his Susanoo punched the three tails in the face, and brawled with it, tanking its attacks using the massive shield, as it continued to fight it.

  “All of you, focus on the Kiri forces.” With that order, he brought together his hands and closed his eyes once more to prepare for his ultimate doujutsu.

  “Ninpo...” Each Mangekyo Sharingan came with its own set of powers, and Fugaku’s eyes were no different.

  And this was the power that had allowed him to go toe-to-toe with the likes of the Sandaime Raikage. It was the ability of his right eye, one which allowed him to control the very air in an area.

  “...Fujin!” As he uttered that name, the world shifted. The very air around them came under his control. He opened his eyes and looked at the three tails.

  “You are not welcome in these nds...” The winds obeyed his command, coalescing around the beast like a storm at his command. They began to push him back slowly as his Sunsaoo continued to push and brawl with the beast.

  THUCK!

  THUCK!

  And it was brutal, and yet he succeeded as they tore through the surrounding walls and pushed the giant beast out of the vilge, and as it rampaged, he felt his suspicion getting confirmed as he saw the beast’s eyes.

  “So, it really is a genjutsu,” and there was but one doujutsu capable of this.

  The Sharingan. And this meant that the preparator of this entire attack had the Sharingan, but who was it?

  “No matter, it is time for me to put you down,” and now it was time for him to use his other power, and so he closed one of his eyes and focused his gaze on the rampaging beast as he felt his chakra reserves reduce to half, as he used the ability of his other eye.

  “Ninpo...” he whispered as blood dripped down his face as he looked at the beast without blinking.

  And in a second, the world was abze, but not with raging red and orange fmes.

  No, this was a fire of darkness. One that would not be doused until it had burned, all of which was in the its wielders’ sight.

  A fire that could burn fire itself.

  “...Amaterasu.”

  And Hiruzen Sarutobi watched, Fugaku combat the Three tails, as the giant red skeletal structure erupted around him, his eyes widened as he recognised the technique.

  “The Susanoo,” he gasped as he stood atop the gutted, lifeless body of one Fuguki Suikazan, the wielder of Samehada. It had been quite some time since he had seen this technique.

  The st Uchiha he knew capable of using this was his old friend Kagami, and so he was surprised, as he saw Fugaku use the Susanoo to push out the tailed beast.

  And with that, the situation which had once seemed so bleak began to look hopeful, as Hiruzen spun his staff as he pushed it into the ground, and crushed the face of the Kiri nin, before he turned to look at the faces of the rest of Kiri’s infamous Ninja Swordsmen, and warned them off.

  “Now, which one of you wants to die next...”
