I arrived as she completely ripped the dimensional fracture open. “If I can’t have this dimension, then nobody can! Enjoy your trip to the unknown!” She sent a strange energy through the hole, and it started to suck in any non-spirit.
Hey cousins, can you tone down the charm magic and help me out?
I felt multiple Elgards eyes lock on to me and my tails, and they had a very dangerous look when they noticed me, but most of them managed to resist and helped me out. I tried to mend the hole, but I had no experience with these kinds of dimensional holes moreover It slowly started to turn red.
Oh nono!
I caught Raishin, Greg and Elliana with my wires. The random dude had grabbed on Elliana. “Hey let me go!”
I had forgotten one important detail. I wasn’t heavy, so I got dragged with them.
The snake lady had gotten sucked up completely by the red hole. I was trying to make sure Greg, Raishin and Elliana didn’t get sucked up. I got out all my tails and dug them into the red dimensional fabric. It was the only way I could prevent them from getting sucked in.
This fabric was turning my tails red because a strange energy was entering my tails which was stressing me out.
Guys! It wouldn’t hurt if you ate less!
We have normal weights!
My cousins tried to close the hole, but it started attacking them it sent out red spears, which reminded me of how the tree in Boshi town attacked. These spears were also as fast as them. Some of my cousins got hurt badly. I got a flashback of Neia’s leg. That isn’t going to heal, is it?
My tails let go and we got sucked further into the hole.
Agnis, listen carefully. Make sure you don’t get sucked in. As long as you stay here, you might be able to get us back. We don’t know where this will send us, your dimensional map might not work where this will send you.
You can’t just expect me to let you guys get sucked into this thing?
We are past that; we need to shift to damage mitigation.
He turned to his normal self. A spatial anomaly snapped the wire that was Elliana's lifeline. I used my eyes to gather as much information on Elliana as possible before she disappeared.
Elliana noo!
This isn’t much different from what you did to relocate the country of Yzs.
Guys! Why can’t I teleport out of this? And Elliana… she’s not dead, is she?
The pull got stronger, but I got yanked back because my [Dimensional Anchor] kicked in. The recoil made the wires slip out of my hands and my buddies got sucked in. I looked at my bloodied hands.
This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.
I had failed yet again. I tried to link them up with my vision. I didn’t get Raishin nor Greg, but I got a weak connection with Elliana. She only saw void. The connection died shortly after, but my eyes collected enough information about her general direction.
My cousins pulled me in by pulling on the chain of my [Dimensional Anchor].
Why… why did this need to happen?!
I tried to go 9t mode and use [Elgard Overload] to fix this, but the red on my tails were making things difficult for me.
“Agnis, I know this is hard, but you need to calm down, look at your tails! You’re stressed! You can kill yourself if you try anything with your tails like this!” Boshi yelled.
I tried to calm down, but I was unable to.
“Let me through.” Bywen came through, embraced me and blasted me with life spirit energy. I slowly but surely calmed down. The red hole closed to my and my cousins' confusion. These things don’t just close by themselves, normally.
Thank you Bywen. I’ve calmed down. I need to get them back.
The red in my tails had disappeared. I went 9t mode and used [Elgard Overload] and tried to undo this event. I tried for 8 minutes but nothing happened. I waited for 80 minutes and tried again. And again, and again. My buddies were gone… It seems life had started to get greedy and kept taking things from me.
I need to keep calm. They aren’t dead, snake lady insinuated that she would send them somewhere else. There is a chance as long as they’re alive.
I took deep breaths.
“Agnis, I know you want to tackle this problem now, but maybe you should do this somewhere else.” I turned around and saw Bywen and the spirits trying to keep my cousins away from me.
“Hey Agnis. These are pink foxes, right? And it’s summer. You might want to get out of here if you don’t want to end up like your grandfather.” Boshi had frozen some of my cousins that were emitting a massive amount of charm energy.
Ah right. Thank you, guys.
I tugged on my [Dimensional Anchor] and returned to my home in Girai. I needed some alone time, where nobody will disturb me. I petted Nilah and sighed.
Nilah lets clean up and then find out how to get them back.
We cleared out all the dust and then headed toward the training room in the basement.
Nilah, do you think what happened is my fault? That I somehow could have prevented this?
She was silent as always, but her company put me at ease. I remembered when she sacrificed herself to become my sword. I tend to throw myself at work when things like this happen. I couldn’t focus on anything dimensional for now.
Nilah… I can’t focus. How about you help me with some blacksmithing until I can clear my mind?
I started to pick up blacksmithing again. I was quite rusty but beating metal with a hammer felt as if I would be able to beat the sadness, anger, frustration and powerlessness out of my body eventually.
It started with just an hour, which turned into days, which turned into weeks. I created weapons and beat hot metal for 2 months until I had cleared everything out of my system. I felt guilty at first because my buddies were already stuck for 2 months but it disappeared. Making a mistake because I didn’t clear my mind is far worse.
I need to be at my best if I want to do this efficiently. I had created various weapons. Some were even magic weapons. I took out my tablet and looked at commissions. There were none. I wanted to bring them to Gittrian, but I remembered that nobody in Girai remembers me. I decided to open the blacksmith shop that was attached to my home and would become decently known before asking Gregory, the boat guy, to lend me some boats.
