Outside

The creaking of a door could be heard down the lifeless, dark hallway lit only by the moonlight. Hart stumbled along the corridor, dressed in a primary red robe with thin golden yellow stripes down the arms. He tched onto the hall walls with his left hand to direct his steps. Despite the ck of navigation, he continued forward.

His efforts were not in vain, as he discovered a room with a slightly opened door revealing light and showing signs of life as footsteps could be heard inside. He slid through the narrow opening and barely managed to prevent himself from falling when his body weight dragged him downwards. As he pulled himself up, he saw the source of the light, which stood on top of a wooden table. The ntern shone in front of a woman who was seated near the table. The woman in question was Nephilia, who was calmly writing something in a notebook without realising his presence.

Hart gave his throat a little clearing, which was loud enough for the woman to hear. Nephilia put down her pen, looked up, and turned her head towards him. With surprise, she got up from her chair and ran at Hart. Wasting no time, she wrapped his left arm over her neck and steered his body to the chair that she was sitting on. She lowered her stance and leaned closer to Hart. Inspecting his body from top to bottom, she gave a relieved sigh once she finished.

"Sir, you should not go out on your own without someone to accompany you. Your current situation is a disaster." Nephilia warned.

"I want to go out." Hart mumbled.

  "But sir, your-"

"I SAID I WANT TO GO OUT!" Hart's voice boomed, startling the woman into submission. But when he noticed the smile fade from Nephilia's precious face, regret ran through him. Realising his mistake, Hart lowered his gaze and murmured an apology.

Waving it off with a smile, she said, "No, sir, I do believe that it's right for you to go out and see the world. I was sceptical due to your weak state, but I was proven wrong. Please follow me to the door."

Grabbing the ntern on the table, she led the way through the building. On the way, they went through multiple corridors with paintings hanging over the royal red walls and a marble staircase that was divided into two, which y in a rge grand room that had a great crystal chandelier dangling on the roof. After all that, they got to a dark wooden double door.

Nephilia carefully unlocked both doors and pulled them to herself, exposing the outside air to the inside. She stepped to the side, giving Hart the way out of the building.

Walking forward, out into the open world, the sight of the dark magic set on the world by the night was in full view, and strolling through the courtyard on the rock pavement, Hart kept his sight on the city that was gmored in light. From a far-off distance, the city streets weren't as clear, but the essence of its beauty was as clear as day. Rows of buildings glowing from the streetlights and the foggy sight of skyscrapers that reached the sky, all of which were glinting like the stars above them.

"I wish I could see it from above." Hart thought.

At that moment, a soaring and rising feeling overflowed his body. Looking downwards, the distance from the ground grew rger and rger. His body was sent flying towards the high sky, just enough to see the city as a whole and the horizon further away. Someone was holding him in pce, though. It was her, the dy called Nephilia. She was raising him into the sky. How?

Subconsciously, Hart thought about slowing down, and miraculously he did. There were a lot of questions he had in mind, but right now he was more focused on the world in front.

Above the skies of the world, everything under the feet can be seen as a miniature model of what it truly is. The smash of the tremendous winds in the sky brushed against all edges. The brightly coloured ground beneath him, the flock of rge aerial animals, the flickering fmes from the nearby star behind the pnet, and the ck of an abundance of city lights other than the one city below have proven to be no longer in the barren world Hart remembers as Earth. This world is truly a breath of fresh air.

"This beauty...it's wonderful. Is this a dream? If so, God help me forget this sight because I'll never stop till I see it again."

Tears streamed down the cheeks as Hart gazed at the beautiful green pnet that held the fundamental meaning of existence. It's not every day that you get to see anything like this. With the long interval of silence, he forgot Nephilia was here. Despite the silence, her temptation to talk reached its limit.

"Sir, when you're finished with the view, I'd like for the both of us to attend our newly founded nation's opening ceremony."

After taking one final look at the pnet he'd be inhabiting, Hart gently fell into the sky, keeping his gaze fixed on the fresh, warm sunrise.

Slowly moving but engulfing the nds with its light, the sun rose above the world, marking the wake of morning. At that time, a sound of a high shriek zooming up the clouds could be heard from behind, and it was followed by the sound of an explosion. Another shriek was sent flying, and it too was accompanied by an explosion. Hart turned to the origin of the bsts, quickly seeing a rge wave of fireworks being set off to the heavens. The trails of coloured sparks raced to catch their own fireworks until they burst into a glimmering spike in the air.

"Umm...Na-fi-lia, right?" Hart asked, facing the woman who was following all his steps. Looking back with those pure blue eyes, Nephilia replied with a stern gre.

"It is Ne-fi-lia, and sir, and if I'm not wrong, I don't recall mentioning my name."

Confused on the topic, both kept a silent tone. No one answered or spoke another word. They only looked into one another's eyes.

Through that time, they found themselves standing on the soft green grass in the courtyard, in front of the rising sun. Not one second did they blink or look away. Willing to lift the silence, Hart asked,

"Umm... so what about the ceremony?"

Nephilia, realising her situation, blushed in soft red and shook her head.

"Oh! Yes..." Clearing her throat, "Please follow me. We should get you ready as soon as possible. Time is very precious on this day."

Getting in front, she looked behind her shoulders, signalling the way inside. Hart stepped forward, giving her the sign to move. Following suit, she turned forward and headed towards the house.
