Chapter 8: This is My Final Magic!

"Such a character is merely a witch hunter?

And used to capture weak wizard apprentices like me?

Lynn found it hard to believe, but reality was not a battlefield where oppos of equal strength were matched. Begging for merd surrendering had no meaning, only a life-ah battle!

  [Frost Bde]

Lynn raised his left hand and aimed at Bine. His mastery of the densing Water Teique was being more profit. In a split sed, another ice bde appeared in the void.

However, the spiritual power that could touch the surroundings had already exhausted the scarce hydrogen atoms, making the ice bde uo pose enough threat to the enemy.

Lynn was keenly aware of this but had no way to ge it, and a strong desire surged in his heart.

He needed more hydrogen and oxygen...

The instant this thought emerged, Ly as if his brain had been struck heavily, like tless silver needles pierg through. Following that, the magic power in his body rapidly depleted, transf inte amount of hydrogen and oxyges.

At the same time, a strange rune was deeply imprinted in his mind.

High-Level Spell – [Multiple Frost Bdes]

In a mere sed, several sharp ice bdes appeared in front of him, scattering like a rain of arrows!

Lynn's sudden outburst exceeded Bine's expectations. In haste, the long sword turned from offeo defense. Although the rea was extremely swift, one [Frost Bde] still bypassed the defense of the long sword and pierced his abdomen.

Bine immediately felt a bone-pierg cold. Crystals of ice began to rapidly spread from the wound on his abdomen.

Being fully aware of the bizarre nature of the magic, Bine did not dare to sck off. He grasped the ice bde with his right hand and forcefully pulled it out!

Due to the special structure of the [Frost Bde], barbs embedded deeply in the flesh made it difficult to pull out forcibly, causing bright red blood to spurt out.

Severe pain made Biremble untrolbly. The wound on his abdomen was a mangled mess of flesh, and terrrew as the cold rapidly spread, quickly numbing the wound area.

However, Bine's ruthlessness was beyond Lynn's expectations. Realizing that the wound on his abdomen would affect the uping battle, he grabbed a burning et handle and pressed it directly against the wound!

"Aaaah!" The scorg fmes mingled with the mangled flesh, causing veins to bulge on Bine's face as he roared in fury.

Light smoke rose from the tact point, and the mangled flesh was nearly half-cooked, with no more blood flowing out. The bone-chilling ess vanished with the fmes' burning...

This horrifying sight made Lynn shudder. Whether it was Bilessly using a rade's body to block a bde or cauterizing his wound with fire, it made Lynn realize this was not an easy oppo!

Taking advantage of Bine's distra, Lynn didn't hesitate to crash through the door and escape. Losing the protective short sword, he had no ce of winning in the narrow room.

Bine g Andre's charred corpse, ched the long sword in his right hand, and gave chase.

  ...

In the evening, outside the Nordory in the slums, two figures, one chasing and one fleeing, traversed the narrow, decayed streets.

The sky had grown darker, and one [Frost Bde] after another whistled past, striking the ground and walls aimlessly.

Each time he cast a spell, Lynn's brain would throb with pain, but he couldn't afford to care. Once he stopped casting, his oppo would rush forward and pierce his skull with a sword!

In trast, Bine, who was chasing Lynn, seemed at ease. His sharp eyes caught the ining ice bdes, occasionally dodging them while maintaining a close yet safe distance from Lynn.

Bine was so cautious because this clever wizard apprentice had proven to be exceptionally ing. From the misleading notes in the room, the sudden ice bde and Fireball Teique injuring him, to the deceptive witchcraft that killed A had left a deep impression on him.

Despite his oppo seeming exhausted, Bine didn't dare act rashly. Like the most patient hunter, he meticulously drained Lynn's energy, waiting for the moment his prey would colpse and die!

As they tiheir chase, the distance from the town grew, and a foul stench filled the air. Bihen realized that Lynn, in his desperation, had fled to the long-abandoned lower district.

The entire Nordory sloped from north to south, with the main city built along the northern bank of the Yin River.

Over a decade ago, the Duke of Nordnd, returning from the Holy City, was displeased with the chaotic, foul-smelling state of the main city and ordered artisans to dig a small el, direg all the city's waste downstream of the Yin River.

This decisiht misery to the impoverished living in the lower district, who relied on the Yin River for water.

But the Duke of Nordnd cared little for the lives of these wretched souls, so the lower district slowly fell into disrepair, with only a few sgers lingering in the area.

Bine couldn't help but worry about other wizard apprentices hiding there. As he resolved to end the fight quickly, Lynn, who had been fleeing, suddenly stopped in a varied-height alley.

  It should be trated enough...

Lynn firmed o time. The strange rune in his mind activated, summoning seven [Frost Bdes] that sparkled in the remaining light of the su...

F rge amounts of magic power to vert into hydrogen and oxygen had severe side effects. Ly his brain was about to explode.

The magic power was squeezed to its limit; this was his final spell!

In the moment, the ice bdes split into two groups, shooting in uable dires, blog all of Bine's evasion routes.

Bine's face grew somber, his eyes focused.

Even he couldn't block such a quantity pletely, but if he risked injury...

Fortunately, the ice bdes seemed to ck accuracy, most only brushing past, with only three aimed at him...

  A fight to the death?

Bine's face showed a sneer. During the chase, he noticed Lynn's spell casting wasn't truly out of thin air; at least, it had a signifit mental toll...

Clearly, the oppo was nearing his limit.

Bine's lips curled slightly. His long sword sshed precisely at the approag [Frost Bdes], failing to notice a red sphere mixed among them.

  g~

The sword's edge struck the sphere, creating dazzling sparks.

The odd impact made Bine pause, realizing he had struck a firestone...
