2.14: Growbag

Sabrina was amazed by what unfolded around her in the divers’ lounge. Thirty-five divers bobbed and weaved around one-another like an assembly line as they worked on their subcsses. Kenzie, the redheaded ninja, had already progressed much further into the Biohacker subcss than Sabrina ever had. She was circuting through the room offering monster mutagens and perk-traits while also collecting perk-traits from anyone who would let her. She practically begged Sabrina to let her try to collect traits from her new form, but Sabrina put her off with an assurance that she could try ter.

Jade wasn’t quite so dismissive. She eagerly helped Kenzie collect Busty and Mega-Milk. Jade couldn’t turn down a chance to get her tits pyed with. Kenzie cimed that with her current level in Biohacker, she’d get recipes from Jade’s traits and be able to replicate them with monster mutagens. Sabrina almost felt left out upon seeing what her subcss could have led to, but having extra lives was invaluable.

Jordan came to Sabrina with something that initially scared her. Jordan, currently in her feminine form, showed Sabrina a video of herself, with her as bouncing as she bsted off spells.

“We cleared out a Circuit City,” Jordan expined. Sabrina raised a skeptical eyebrow, so Jordan reiterated, “Yes, really. I don’t know if the dungeon is where chain stores go when they die, or what. Anyway, it had a bunch of these things.”

She pointed up at a baseball-sized orb hovering above her. It looked almost identical to the speakers that the party used to py music. “They’re like your speakers; except they also have cameras on them. They intuitively film what you want them to, and they have a great sense of framing and composition.”

Sabrina nodded. She now understood how she was filmed but wasn’t clear on why. Jordan went on, “We share footage and edit it together. Some of us are starting vlogs with voiceover, or action-packed highlight reels, or compitions that are basically just… well, porn. There’s a lot of material down here for porn. We’re making sure not to show anything that reveals where the entrance is. Before we post anything though, I wanted to give you a chance to veto it.”

Sabrina thought a moment. “It’s a good idea. I never love seeing myself on camera, but I’m already sort of famous. Where are you posting it? Most of us have costumes that show our NSFW bits.”

“I’m thinking we can post censored versions on YouTube and TikTok. The really porny stuff can go on porn sites. For the uncensored versions of what we post on social media, I was thinking maybe we could unch a website.”

Sabrina perked up. “Holy shit! We could use the website to give out subspace bags, jellies, and potions.”

“That’s an awesome idea,” Jordan praised. “We lure them in with videos of naked girls killing goblins and then bless their lives with magic. Public opinion of us will go through the roof!”

Sabrina was excited about the prospect to build a server and code a website. Having a degree beamed into her mind instilled a frustrating desire to actually use it. So far, she’d done basically nothing with it. At the very least, she has a fallback in case her career as a dungeon diver fell-through.

When morning came, Sabrina’s other forms still weren’t done recharging. Jade proposed that they could wait longer for the sake of safety, but Sabrina rejected that idea. Sabrina was getting antsy, especially after hearing that the gym might be getting raided by police.

Leaving the dungeon and roaming the streets in her demonic princess form wasn’t exactly subtle, but Sabrina didn’t care anymore. There was nothing wrong with who or what she was. She might not fit into societies sensibilities, but she was a good person. It wasn’t her responsibility to hide the more controversial parts of herself just to make people comfortable.

At the moment, Sabrina was a grouchy purple demon with a massive horse cock, and she didn’t owe anyone an apology for it. In fact, she even used the new camera-orb that Jordan gave her to film herself strutting her stuff down the street. She got a lot of funny looks, but that was understandable. People could either get used to her or go fuck themselves.

Thankfully, there weren’t cops surrounding the gym. Sabrina was relieved, but also strangely disappointed. She realized that she’d actually been looking forward to an opportunity to stand her ground.

Within the gym, the girls who’d stayed to defend the gym had made astounding progress on the subspace bags. Using the elemental stones, they’d looted on the first night before the dive went into overtime, they’d prepared over five-hundred bags. Sabrina didn’t know they could even infte them that fast.

Sadie, the blue-haired daughter of a cop, showed Sabrina how they’d pulled it off. The Personal Space Inftor’s handles were fastened onto a repurposed power hammer. This machine was meant to be used to efficiently pound red-hot metal for bcksmithing.

Essentially, it was a big machine that forcefully pitoned up and down, which was perfect for pumping a mystically resilient bellow. With this, the biggest bottleneck towards making the bags was now the Runesmiths. There was a backlog of more than three-hundred infted bags just waiting to be turned into homes.

Homes weren’t the only thing that the bags could be used for, as Sabrina learned. Sadie showed her a few bags she’d been experimenting with. She opened a fanny-pack (which, for whatever reason, was the style of bag that the league had chosen) and showed a room full of tilled soil with sunlight shining down on it.

“I call it a growbag,” Sadie proudly announced. “It uses a lot fewer stones than the apartments—just a handful of earth and sun stones. The magical density on its own is great for the pnts. Anything we grow will count as a magical ingredient. Plus, we can grow magical pnts. For this one, I used some seeds that Jade had lying around.”

Jade went pale. “Which seeds?” she asked nervously.

Sadie became hesitance due to Jade’s urgent fear. “Um… the ones in the little brown pouches?”

Jade’s face confirmed Sabrina’s suspicion. She fshed back to the time in the dungeon when a predatory pnt sprayed the party with a mist of arousing pink pollen. That pollen was insidious, like poison oak that made one’s whole body feel like a needy clit. On paper, that might sound fun, but in practice, it had been debilitating and overwhelming. Although, in a controlled environment, Sabrina wouldn’t mind trying it again.

Jade frantically picked up the fanny-pack and zipped it up. “This bag is officially quarantined!” She conjured a wooden chest from her inventory, emptied its contents onto the floor, and put the bag inside of it. “When it grows in, we’ll very carefully harvest what we can, but it’s too dangerous to leave lying around.”

  “But you left the seeds…”

“—I know!” Jade interrupted. “My mistake.” Jade then ran off, presumably to hide the chest somewhere.

“Anyway,” Sabrina said, rolling past that little detour. “I think the growbags are genius. Great work, Sadie.”

Sadie nervously ughed off the abrupt change in tone. “Thanks, Sabrina. Means a lot coming from you.”“Don’t mention it. Consider this a new project for the league to work on alongside the… mobile homes. Nah, that name sucks. I can do better than that.”

“Pocket pace,” Sadie ventured. After a moment, both girls grimaced and shook their heads.

“We’ll think of something,” Sabrina promised.

Sabrina wandered, appreciating her surroundings. Over such a short span of time, the Diving League had grown into an independent organism. It made her think of the time she’d tried DM-ing for D&D. The best part of the experience wasn’t combat or getting to monologue; it was when she took her hands off the wheel and let the group run with what she’d set up. If the pyers were immersed enough to goof around and ramble on in-character, then she’d done her job right. Now, with the league, she felt proud to watch everything run smoothly without her input.

Jade’s voice in her head put an end to her idle wandering. “Hey, Bean, come to the locker room for a sec.”

Upon entering the locker room, she found Jade smirking mischievously, with Aisha beside her. “I think you promised our friend here a lil smooch.”

Sabrina sighed deeply. “Fine,” she huffed.

Sabrina approached Aisha. On some level, she felt that Jade was right, and that getting this out of the way was her only option. She also knew that Jade was intentionally teasing her, so she was entitled to feel a little grumpy.

Aisha was close now. Fuck, she smelled nice. Sabrina felt the warmth radiating from her. Her senses were so sharp, the Sabrina could even taste her on the air. Sabrina and Aisha both leaned in for a kiss. Reflexively, Sabrina recoiled.

“I’m so sorry,” Sabrina insisted. “I’m nervous. Let’s try again.”

She leaned in, and this time she really went for it. Aisha’s lips felt really nice. Aisha’s powers even caused her to be more sexually stimuting. At a sheer technical level, it was a great kiss. Nevertheless—there were no sparks. It was empty, like kissing a cousin.

“Huh,” Sabrina intoned as she pulled away. All of her nervousness evaporated. Then, she noticed Jade watching her with a knowing grin. Even Asiha was giving her the same look.

  “No sparks?” Jade guessed.

  “How did you…?”

“We’re tethered to each other at a spiritual level, Bean. We’re basically immune to catching feelings for other people. You think I’d really be on board with this if I thought there was even a remote chance that you really had a crush on her?”

“Then what… was that? Why was I so nervous around her?”

“For starters,” Jade said.”—You’re always nervous. I don’t even know how it’s physically possible with the amount of anti-anxiety enchantments that are always over you.”

“Also,” Jade continued, jumping in before Sabrina interrupted. “You feel like you like her because,” she started, leaving a dramatic pause. “You like her! Aisha’s awesome, and you’ve got… whatever you’d call the friendship-version of a crush on her. A ptonic boner, maybe. You want to be her friend.”

Aisha confirmed, joking, “I don’t know how that one never occurred to you.”

“But—” Sabrina argued, unsure how to even phrase her concern.

“—But what about the actual boners?” Jade guessed, correctly. “No mystery there. I mean, she’s fucking gorgeous, and everything makes you horny. More importantly—she has aura-effects that make everyone horny. That’s why we got together and hatched this whole scheme.”

“I wouldn’t call it a scheme, exactly,” Aisha defended.

Sabrina was aghast. “You… pnned this? Why?!”

“Because, Bean: you have the exact same effect on people! When the league first started, you wouldn’t believe how much time was wasted on bathroom breaks, or how many throw pillows got ruined. If you’re gonna wield a weapon like that, it’s important to get a feel for the effects. Plus, I thought it would be funny.”

“I’m really sorry,” Aisha told her. “I didn’t want to take the whole thing this far. I’m trying to make a friendship happen here, and I hope this doesn’t spoil it.”

As the shock wore off, and it all sank in, Sabrina simply busted out with ughter. The whole thing was weird and convoluted, but she was too relieved to care. “Aisha,” Sabrina said as she caught her breath. “I’d love to be your friend.”

  “Yay,” Aisha celebrated, smiling warmly.

“You should join our party—you know, if your current party is okay with it,” Jade pitched.

“They’re cool with it,” Aisha confirmed. “We just sorta split, already. Everything’s still good between us, but there’s sort of a level-disparity, and we’ve all got other friends we wanted to squad-up with. I’m down, but I already promised Kenzie that she could join me. As long as she can come, I’m in.”

Jade and Sabrina shared a shrug of mutual agreement. “Works for me,” Sabrina agreed. “Kenzie seems cool, I’m up for getting to know her better.”

Just like that, pns were set, and Sabrina’s circle got a little bit bigger.
