In a luxurious hall decorated with rid priceless items made of gold and silver, a middle-aged man draped in golden robes sat on a big seat with dragons engraved on it. He had a golden on his head, his plexion as clear as jade, and the aura of a man who used to be in power was tangible in the air, causing the servants around to be able to breathe barely. At this moment, his brow was furrowed and his expression resembled ay.
His name was Di Fengling and he was the current Emperor of the Heavenly Bow Empire. He was not a jewel master so it was obvious that he was not that powerful but he was still a very respected emperor among the citizens because of his kind ale personality.
Zhou Shuiniu was sitting close to him with an impatient expression, but he was still much calmer than Di Fengling. He had waited for the past month to get the informatiarding the 'Paradise Restaurant' and the people w there.
He articurly impatient after he received news from Xiao Yuhat Xiao Ruse had also awakened her jewels and when he paid a visit to firm the news, he learhat she had not just awakened any jewels but Heavenly Jewel just like him. And she had two elements: Water and Light. As for her physical jewels, she had received Waxy jade which boosted flexibility.
It really startled him to his core since acc to on knowledge one could only awaken their jewels until the age of 12 but Xiao Ruse was 15, so it pletely broke the notion and it cided with his soing cured so Zhou Shuiniu finally cluded that it must have something to do with the newly opened restaurant.
Xiao Ruse hadn't opened her mouth and tried to make up a story of getting stuck by something and when she woke up, she had already awakened her jewels but she couldn't hide her real thoughts from Admiral Zhou who didn't point it out since he had already firmed it anyway.
"Big Bro Zhou, are you sure that there is something wrong with the restaurant? What if everything is just a ce?" Di Fengling observed the facial expression of Admiral Zhou and said.
Zhou Shuiniu shook his head and replied with a solemn expression. "It's not possible, Your Majesty. If it's just my son, then it might be o now Ruse too. I 't just leave such a thing unchecked. What if the other party has some bad iions for our Heavenly Bow Empire? I asked someoo check their background and found that her of them was from our neighb tries. They might possibly be spies trained by Kalise Empire or what if they are from Bai Da Empire."
"But even then, why would they help your son and the daughter of our Finance minister in awakening their jewels? Ah know how difficult it was to awaken jewels anyway so if they really are spies as you predicted then wouldn't it be bad for them." Di Fengling was quite an intelligent guy and told his thoughts.
Zhou Shuiniu pondered and nodded his head. "I uand your point, Your Majesty. But just to be on the safe side, let's make sure. And I don't like such factors wheuation at the border is still tense."
While the two of them were discussing, they failed to notice a shadow of a person listening to the tent of their chat. The girl seemed quite young maybe around 12-13 years old and her expression was quite haughty. Her eyes sparkled with curiosity as she was intrigued to learn about the new restaurant. She decided to pay a visit to it and looked for herself about what was so special about the pce that even her father and Admiral Zhou were paying i in it.
Just as she left, a man appeared at the door, holding two pots in his hands. He knocked on the door aered inside.
"Ah, Drunken Rouge, you're finally here! So, what did you find about that mysterious restaurant?" Zhou Shuiniu raised his head and as saw the newer, directly jumping to the point.
Luo Ke Di greeted both of them before speaking. "Admiral Zhou, are you perhaps... mistaken? How do I say it? The pce was just like any normal restaurant that you find in our empire or the Fei Li empire. There is nothing out of the ordinary except for the tasty food and this luxurious wine and also the beautiful waitresses."
When he spoke, he even showed the two pots in his hands.
Zhou Shuiniu furrowed his brows, not satisfied with it, asking again. "Drunken Rouge, are you that you're not mistaken or something? Do you really iigate properly?"
Luo Ke Di smiled and cupped his hand. "Are you perhaps doubting my skills, Admiral Zhou? I might not be strong but I'm very fident in my skills of information gathering. Anyway, I've brought this wine as a gift. As for the restaurant, it is a normal pd the owner and the waitresses are very friendly and nice people. I've reported everything that I had found so please give excuse me."
Luo Ke Di put a pot oable before walking away with the other one. He was going to drink it ter when he was alone.
Zhou Shuiniu furrowed his broondered on the words of his trusted man, finally sighing.
'Is it really me who is thinking too much? Or... did those guys find Drunken Rouge's identity and even fool an expert like him? Just what should I do?... I have this gut feeling that something is definitely wrong with that pce!'
"Big Bro Zhou, I told you before you're just overthinking everything. Fet about it, maybe the two is are really just ces. Anyway, since Luo Ke Di had brought wihe's celebrate the two occasions."
Admiral Zhou looked at Di Fengling and nodded with a smile. 'Maybe, his majesty is right. Anyway, there is no point in p on something like this for now. Until I have solid evidence, I e an i person...'
Di Fengling called two maids and asked them to pour the wine for both him and his brother, Zhou Shuiniu.
Just as the maid removed the cork and the oilcloth, an unspeakable…. Unspeakably wondrous fvor filled the entire room which caught everyone by surprise.
The fragrance spread through the room like moonlight from a shiny night sky, and covered every nook and er of the room!
