On the colossal St. Aral Mountain range, sunlight shihrough the gap between the mountains into the deep yons, and a magnifit city stood on the surface of the valley.
The city, due to being stealthily located geographically, was well preserved from the Age of Darkness. They would occasionally enter attacks from powerful Snow Wis withi. Aral Mountains, however, after going through numerous devastating flicts, the city was rebuilt again and again.
This city is called Glory City, and it is a symbol of hope for humanity!
Normally it took only a long journey of over two days to reach Glory City from the territory of Heavenly Marks Family but Jason crossed the distan a few hours.
Standing at the northerrance of the Glory City, Jason observed the streets. If his family's territory was akin to an old vilge then the current Glory City was a high-tech city filled with hustle and bustle, people filling the streets almost to the brim.
All types of shops and stalls could be seen iy.
Since he had arrived two days earlier, Jason decided to stay in an inn. After looking around a little, he easily spotted an inn.
Booking a room with two gold s earned him quite a rea from the inn owner.
Ign the owner, Jason pced his luggage into the room before making his way into the streets to make himself familiar with the city.
Usually, an elder or member of a family would have escorted him but in the current year, Nie Li was the only child going to join the Holy Orchid Institute.
A letter was sent to a member of the family studying in the academy to help him register at the time.
The Patriarie Hai, wao send an elder with him but the grand elder, Nie Wei suggested otherwise. Acc to him, if an elder escorted Nie Li then it would make it look suspicious. After all, Nie Li was after all a junior.
The more people, the more it seemed grand, attrag unwatention. So, it's best to let him go alone.
Jason didn't care about it anyway. Aside from his parents and family, he didn't care about others. As long as nobody would bully his family, he would just ighem all.
Walking dowreets, he saces such as the Holy Orchid Institute, Inscription Association, Alchemist Association, City Lord Mansion, Sacred Family Mansion, Divine Family Mansion, and many more.
For an assassin, the knowledge of the eerrain was a very important thing, it would help him or her in his time of need.
It had been twelve years since he arrived in this world, but even now he hadn't assassinated a single person, reaping the soul of an evil.
It insulted his name 'Hades', the Sn of the Underworld!
'I have to find my first prey aablish the name Hades into this world too!... But it is alright, I am sure a ce will present itself to me very soon.'
After wandering around for a few hours, he decided to finally return. He had made a few inquiries around the shops, gathering information about the families and other forces in the Glory City.
The day, in the early m, he made his way to the Inscription Association. Jason was sure of ohing.
'In this world where the strong are respected and weak are trampled upon, without having any sort of bag would force him to a er one day. Even though I'm very strong, but as a professional assassin, it would be foolish to reveal my true strength like that. While this method could attrae unwatention but it will still force people not to a the open against me. As for in the dark, hehe... it will still be a question of who will be a prey and who will be a predator.'
Arriving at the Inscription Association, he was slightly disappoio see the pce was quite deserted with barely a shadow in sight. Walking inside he finally saerson more specifically a young woman sitting behind a table reading a book. She had long bck hair tied up in a bun with a hairpin.
Walking over, he spoke politely. "Excuse me Miss, but is this the Inscription Association?"
The woman closed the book and raised her head, looking at him with a smile, not seeming offended by his words. "Wele, young man. You're at the right pce. My name is Xue Yin, the president of the Association. Why do you seem so surprised?"
"Well, to tell you the truth this pce seems way more deserted to be called an association."
Xue Yin smiled and expined, "Little brother, this pce is ihe Inscription Association. As for beied, that is because most of the Inscription Masters rarely e here, spending most of their time creating inscription scrolls. They only e to either collect materials or submit the finished inscription scrolls for money."
"Oh, so that's why this pce is so deserted." Jason nodded his head in uanding.
Xue Yin sighed and said, "It is not so easy to bee Inscription masters and nowadays rarely anyone seems ied in it, resulting in the dee of the association..."
She seemed a little down when she said that before shaking her head and speaking with a smile. "Fet about it. What brings you here? Do you want to order an inscription scroll?"
Jason shook his head and said. "No. I'm here to partake in the examination to bee the Inscriptionist."
"Oh?" Xue Yin seemed a little surprised. Looking at the young man in front, she could see that he hadn't even reached fifteen years old but he sure had an air of fidence around him with the mixture of mystery.
Nowadays, no one is ied in this profession so her shock was justified.
She smiled and expined. "Little brother, there is no examination. You be sidered an Inscriptionist as long as you make an Inscription Scroll or an Ented Equipment. Your rank is determined by the level of your inscriptions. You are sidered an Apprentice if you make Bronze Rank or Silver Rank Inscription Patterns, an Inscriptionist Master fold Rank, and Senior Inscirpton Master for Bck Gold Rank. Finally, an Inscriptionist Grandmaster if you mao draw Legend Rank inscriptions."
"Okay, I would like to give it a try." Jason listeo her and said seriously.
Xue Yin nodded her and guided him io ay table. After moving around a bit, she put down a stack of bnk inscription paper with the blood of a bronze rank demo oable.
"Here, Little brother. Now you begin. And remember to not push yourself too hard." She said seriously before stepping down a little, giving him space.
Jason stepped forward and checked the ingredients oable. After making sure that everything was fine, he picked up a brush and dipped it into the blood of the demo before pg it on the sheet of paper.
Upon seeing that Jason was about to write, Xue Yin's i iqued. She was looking forward to his performance.
