Step 1 - Chapter I - Prologue

Have you ever woken up and thought to yourself whether or not you're crazy? In this post-modern world thousands of charlatans get rich raving about the collapse of the West, our values and the woke mind virus. Others play on our feelings and notions of our self-worth, whether it be by segregating ourselves into infinitesimally smaller groups of gender, sexuality, political orientation or race or browbeating us with whatever the current thing may be. They then pray on your mind, flavoring their own brand of virtue signaling as revelatory and messianic, mythical. You wake up, open up Tik Tok, X, Facebook, Instagram or any other mind-numbing doom-scrolling app and just let the world shit on your brain, leaving less and less of your mind intact as the seconds go on? This might be common.

Sometimes you wonder perhaps how is it that you are not famous or wealthy but morons like Andrew Tate or Hasan or Donald Trump or any other is? You feel the jealousy eat you up, but come Friday you pop the cork off your alcoholic beverage, sit behind your computer or argue with your friends whether in real life or virtually and spend each of your 35000 days on this Earth doing absolutely nothing. That's not too uncommon either. Sometimes people just feel truly lost in the world and need help finding themselves and their purpose again.

Depending on where you are in the world, psychiatry may be expensive or may be fraught with long waits. You get your appointment, and spend an hour moaning to a complete stranger about your life, hoping to dear God that they have an answer. And an answer they have - they have a pill for you to swallow. It sticks in your throat sometimes, but hopefully it helps you. But all the while the rich get richer, the world grows more insane, more in peril and the pressure cooker in the giant gutter in space we call home beats you back down again. This book helps you find out if you're insane or whether everyone around you is.

To do this, we'll be following a fun little character named Theodore 'Teddy' Green, an up an coming trader on Wall Street in New York. He is like you might be - incredibly little in the giant machine of numbers and people's pensions, but grand inside, feeling his self worth out-rate his value to the real world. But he isn't bitter, he's perhaps a little nihilistic or cynical, but overall coping rather well. Let's dive into his life as a case study and see if we can identify whether or not Teddy is truly insane. Perhaps you'll find out more about yourself as we go along?
