After having escaped the dungeon, he walks through a forest, looking for some sense of civilization.
Maybe I can find an animal to eat. I can’t think straight when I’m hungry.
I should also find some clothes.
He walks by different berries and fruits, which do nothing to satisfy him, and his stomach starts aching, causing him pain.
It hurts.
Rubbing his stomach.
He finds the exit out of the woods and sees a large grassland with flowers and a wagon being moved by a horse that has silver armor.
Should I approach?
Maybe seeing a naked kid would immediately make them want to help me, or scare me away?
Deciding that this was his only chance to meet actual humans and learn if this skill stuff was everyday life.
Running out of the bush, he waved his hand, trying to get their attention.
The man driving the horse notices him and stops the horse.
He looked old, he had white hair and a white mustache.
He wore a white shirt with a brown vest, brown shoes, and black boots.
He gets off and waits for him to approach.
“Boy, why are you naked?”
Using his Feeling What You Are Feeling skill; he instills that his clothes were taken by animals.
“Hm! You just used a skill. Are you unable to speak?”
He shakes his head.
Walking to the back of his wagon, he takes out a white blanket and covers him.
“I’m heading to a town; I’ll buy you some clothes once we reach there.”
He helps Greedon onto the front of the wagon, mounts it, and has the horse move again.
He said skill, so that means skills are common.
“So boy, what’s your name?”
He uses his skill to make him think of his name, Greedon Epitan.
“Not a bad name.”
He instills the question if skills and the status window are common in this world.
“Of course, skills are common, you been living under a rock or something. Although, I’m not sure what a status window is. Are you referring to the Skill Frame?”
Skill Frame? What a weird thing to call it.
He instills that he is.
“And to answer your question, everyone has one, it's a projection from our souls, showing us all our skills and rank.”
That’s good to know.
“I assume you saw your own. So, you must already be aware of the different kinds of skills one can obtain.”
He nods his head.
“You're lucky I found you. Slimes are common around this area, they may be weak, but they can eat you easily and take your skills. When we reach the shop, you can pick out what you want. I’ll pay.”
He gives him a thumbs up and watches the scenery as they travel.
A beautiful view unfolds in front of him, colorful flowers, particles in the air, and... people fighting a giant hobgoblin with a giant axe.
Greedon looks towards the conflict.
He points towards it, the old man looking in the direction.
“Oh, the adventurers. Those damn goblins always trying their disgusting acts.”
Adventurers, that’s even better. Maybe I can apply when I’m older.
“You can apply if you want.”
This caught him off guard, he literally looks like he’s 10.
He instills the question of the age restriction.
“It’s 10 years old. You can apply at the town we are heading to.”
Why is it so young! They sending kids to war!
He instills about the entry mission.
The man falls silent for a while.
“-are you from Napaj?”
He was confused by the name and shook his head.
“Entry missions only happen in Napaj. We don’t do that in Namerca.”
-Hold on, isn’t Napaj just Japan backward? Namerca, that's just America with fewer words.
This world seems to have some similarities with my own world.
“Well, here we are.”
They approach a gate with 2 silver armored guards at the entrance.
One guard walks to the old man.
“Sir Yaba, is this the iron pieces delivery?”
“It is, as usual.”
“May I ask who the boy is?”
“I found him running out of the woods. He’s naked too.”
“-I see. Very well, proceed.”
The gates open and the horse pulls them inside.
“We will head to the blacksmith shop first.”
They reach the blacksmith shop and Sir Yaba as well as the dwarves take the crates of iron and bring them into the shop, watching them do so.
While he waits, he imagines a private rod on himself, now feeling less naked with the blanket.
Now done, Greedon and Yaba walk to the clothing store.
“Welcome, how can I assist you-oh!”
“Yes. I’m here to see if you can help him look for some clothes.”
“-s-sure, I can do that.”
He went through the store with the worker.
Trying on different clothes and eventually finding the ones he likes.
A dark green fur jacket with a cream white fur hood and cream white fur cuffs with gold buttons down the middle, oversized baggy black pants, and black linen slippers.
Just the perfect size for his size.
Nice.
Giving Yaba a thumbs-up, Yaba pays for the clothes and both exit the shop.
“Alright, well I got to leave. Wish you luck.”
He leaves Greedon, waving goodbye.
Greedon waves back.
Now alone, he’s unsure what to do.

His stomach begins to growl and hurt a little.
Ow. I should buy some food first.
He looks around, wondering where he could find a restaurant.
Walking around the town, he manages to stumble upon the adventurer's guild.
Maybe they have food there.
He entered the guild, and the area was filled with lots of cool people.
Their armor was cool, they looked strong, and they looked like mature adults.
The guild had lots of tables, a female receptionist, there was a bar to the right and the quest board to the left.
But what caught his eye the most, was the beautiful women.
He blushed a little looking at some of them but slapped his face.
Not now, gotta find some food.
Walking in, he caught the eyes of a lot of different people, seeing him as an odd one.
Going to the desk, he instills the question if there is any food.
She feels weird at first, but she eventually realizes that a skill is being used.
“We do have food. What would you like?”
–1 Hour Later–
He’s eating a table of different foods.
Rice, chicken, mashed potatoes, and more delicacies.
As he does, he thinks about the fight he had back in the dungeon, more specifically the memories he saw.
I’ll need to get stronger, so I don’t end up like them.
He finishes his meal and stretches.
“Hey, kid.”
He turns to see a large tanned skinned man that was bald, had a scar across his face and had a giant sword in his hand.
He had black shoulder plates, a sleeveless skin-tight shirt, brown pants, and black boots with armor on them.
“You trying to be an adventurer?”
He nods.
“I’ll warn you; it's dangerous work. People die on the job daily.”
This didn’t seem to really faze Greedon at all.
He was well aware of this fact, seeing as he was almost killed once already, but it didn’t scare him because of his own slime nature.
He knew he could take advantage of his slime capabilities to heal.
All he had to do was find mana crystals and he would be fine.
He also knew he needed to get better at fighting.
[Can you show me how to fight?]
“Sure, I can.”
[Skill Upgrade!]
[Feeling What You Are Feeling: Can instill his thoughts, emotions, and ideas into other people and you can telepathically speak to others]
Did that happen because I was using it so many times?
So, skills can also be upgraded if you use them enough.
“Boy! You wanna head out now?”
He was snapping his fingers to catch his attention.
[Huh! Yeah, thank you.]
He gets up out of the chair and follows the man to the receptionist.
“The kid wants to apply.”
The receptionist was a female woman with blonde hair and a dress, pretty average.
“How old is he?”
He turns to Greedon.
“How old are you?”
He puts up 10 fingers.
“He says he’s 10.”
“Alright, let me just create his card."
A magical device is summoned to the desk, she summons a card and from the sphere in the middle, light shoots down onto it, creating the details on the card.
“Name?”
[Greedon]
“Full name.”
[Greedon Epitan]
“Okay, done. Here’s your adventure card and you can choose which quest you want to take.”
[So, what am I limited to?]
The man looked at him.
“You aren’t limited to anything, just choose a random quest.”
[Don’t you have rankings?]
The man stared at him in confusion, he already thought this kid was weird but now he’s acting like this world is new or something.
“This isn’t Napaj. Rankings only happen over there. Follow me.”
Following him, Greedon was now weirded out.
No ranks to determine the difficulty and the age limit is so low.
This system is awful.
“Let’s do this quest, deal with 2 bears that are terrorizing a local town. We can get there by foot.”
[Wait! I need to buy mana crystals.]
“Mana crystals? Sure, I can bring you to the neighboring shop.”
He brings the quest with him and guides Greedon to the jewel shop.
“Welcome, welcome, what do you need?”
The man looked funny.
His glasses were very exaggerated, his nose was long, his hair was goofy with swirls and his suit was average.
A weird combination.
“This kid wants mana crystals.”
“It costs 1 gold coin a crystal.”
[How many?]
“I have 435 crystals in total.”
[All of them. I’m buying all of them]
Both of them were shocked at this declaration.
“Let’s be more realistic. You can't possibly buy all of them.”
Greedon spits out 435 gold coins, smiling, glad he looted the dungeon.
Now leaving the store, he was happy with how many mana crystals he had.
Currently having 491 in store.
Leaving the town, he and the man walk along a dirt road outside the town.
“First, question, have any combat experience?”
I mean, technically I do but at the same time not really.
The game I played made it feel like the digital body was the real one.
Although that didn’t really help against the dumb snake.
[No]
“Alright, I’ll teach you how to use a dagger.”
He takes a dagger from his back and gives it to Greedon.
The dagger was quite stylish.
Having ridge edges and is colored red and green with a gold guard and brown handle.
“This dagger is very useful for beginners like you. Can pierce through tough skin, you’ll need it.”
[Thanks]
“Once we reach the town, I’ll fight off one bear to show you how to use a dagger, and then you’ll take on the second one.”
HUH!?
His face was perplexed.
Bro, I’m not built for that yet!
I think he wants me gone or something.
They reach the town and walk over to the chief’s house.
Knocking the door, they wait for him to answer.
The chief walks out, who is an old man with a large red robe over him.
“Thank you for accepting this quest, those gosh darn bears are always near the waterfall. Deal with it and I will pay you.”
The man slams the door, Greedon is a little upset the man was just commanding them like that.
“You heard him. Let's go.”
They walk into the woods.
As they walked, their environment began to change.
The deeper they got, the more it seemed like they entered a new world.
The trees went from brown and green to white and pink.
The grass went from green to orange.
Never thought I would see white trees in my life.
“Hold up.”
The man placed his hand in front of Greedon.
He crouched down behind a bush, seeing one of the bears.
Greedon saw it as well as it looked exactly like a polar bear.
-Maybe the bear was just turned white by the stuff in the environment?
He tried to make sense of why a “polar bear” was not in the cold, he figured something in the air made its change fur.
“Watch and learn.”
The man placed his sword down and took out his dagger which looked very similar to the poisonous fang he had before.
The man jumped out of the bush and stabbed the bear in the side.
He used his skill [Body of a Bear] to push the bear upwards to its 2 feet.
He continuously stabbed it over and over and slit its stomach open, spilling its guts on the ground and it finally died.
Looking at the grotesque view, it didn’t bother him at all.
He was actually quite used to this for reason because of his past life.
The man walked back, covered in purple blood.
“See, easy.”
Greedon could only stare, wondering what this man thought he was made of.
He should know damn well I can’t pick up a bear with this body.
“Let’s look for the next one.”
He begins walking off, Greedon following behind.
Hopefully, this dagger helps me, I’m not trying to die again.
“Freeze!”
He wonders why he stops him until he follows the man’s gaze.
There was purple blood on the ground.
[Did it already die?]
“...”
His face was serious, a cold sweat going down his face.
Greedon was also no longer carefree anymore.
Now worried about what was to be expected.
“Listen to me, boy. There’s something else here. It may be a monster.”
Monster? Was the bear, not one?
"Back against each other, now!"
They put their backs against each other.
He raised his dagger, prepared for combat.
Greedon didn’t know what to expect, he hoped it wouldn’t be similar to the serpent.
[CRUNCH!]
Hearing a sound, he knew exactly where it came from.
He slowly turned around, the man's lower half leaning on him.
“EW!”
He moved away, letting the lower half fall.
He saw a giant bear having blood around its mouth.
It didn’t look like the other ones.
Its fur was black, its eyes were red, and it had scars all over its body.
It had a menacing aura surrounding it, instilling a sense of fear into him.
A creature that looked out of place in such a calm area.
He wanted to fight it but knew he stood no chance.
At least with the serpent, it was more predictable with the fact it could only slither.
But the beat was much heavier and could do so much more.
I need to run!
He began running away, using his Black Fog skill to hide himself.
This didn’t seem to work as the bear could hear his footsteps loud and clear.
He was able to stay quite far from it, seeing as he moved at equal speed with it.
He dodged trees and jumped over roots.
Managing to escape the forest, the bear was right behind him.
God damn it! Why did he get killed so quickly? You were supposed to teach me how to fight!
He ran to the village, putting all the other people in danger unintentionally.
The bear was about to strike him when a sword struck down between the 2, sending a shockwave that pushed them back.
Falling to the ground, he turned around quickly to see what happened.
The dust slowly cleared to reveal a man.
He had blonde hair with a braided ponytail and purple-blue eyes.
He wore a shiny set of white and gold knight armor and a dark blue mantle with different badges.
What stuck out was the white and red cape over his shoulder that blew as the wind picked it up.
“Are you okay?”
Who’s that?
The chief slammed open the door to see what was going on.
His eyes were immediately caught by the man standing before him.
“Is that the Divine Saint!?”
The monster roared in anger.
The man was unfazed by such an intimidation tactic.
He walked forward without fear, his face having nothing but a smile.
The monster attacked, intending to bring him down.
He blocked the attack with ease, his face unchanging.
It began attacking with incredible speed.
Something that not even Greedon had seen so far.
The man blocked the attacks without effort. Walking forward, pressing the monster.
The monster used its skill, [Sonic Roar], releasing a large shockwave that destroyed the entire town and killed a few people who were inside their houses due to the houses collapsing on them.
Greedon was shocked by just how much power this thing had.
If he had fought it, he would have died guaranteed.
It made him flashback to his first-ever boss fight.
He and his friend were defeated by the knight boss, and it radiated an intimidating aura similar to the bear.
The sheathed sword moved at light speed, piercing the monster’s heart.
It fell to the ground, now dead.
He turned around and helped Greedon up.
“You okay?”
[Y-yeah]
“Michael Dragonheart! Y-you are the Divine Saint!”
The chief said, running up to the both of them.
“I am. I came here for the replacement swords we requested.”
“Y-yes of course. I will bring them right away.”
The chief ran off, running into a building.
He could only wonder who this guy was.
Hearing the words divine already gave the impression he was powerful.
And how he effortlessly handled the monster.
It was nothing short of incredible.
The old man had multiple men bring multiple crates of swords with him.
The man instantly grabbed all of them and jumped into the air.
Greedon watched him jump into the sky.
He clenched his fist not out of anger, but excitement.
It was nostalgic.
He felt a moment like this before.
When he was a beginner, his first-ever friend saved him from spawn campers and ever since then he did whatever he could to surpass him.
It was that same feeling.
A beginner as the weakest monster, being saved by someone whose power was seemingly unfathomable.
It made him determined to get stronger to surpass this mysterious man.
I don't know who you are, but I swear it, I’ll get stronger to surpass you.
His eyes were filled with the determination of a gamer, glowing imperial red.
He turned towards the bear, placed his hand forward, and covered its body in slime, consuming it whole.
