Georgia's wings sliced through the sky, the wind roaring past as she soared over the vast expanse of the Pacific. The coordinates were right—the Coral Sea stretched out beneath her, calm and eerily empty. No plumes of smoke, no distant echoes of battle, and certainly no sign of the Sakura Empire fleet she was expecting.
She hovered in pce, the soft hum of her wave motion engine thrumming beneath her rigging. "Where the hell is everyone?" Georgia muttered, pulling up a holographic dispy projected from her gauntlet. The map flickered, showing her current location—dead center in the Coral Sea.
Georgia fpped her wings in annoyance and although she shouldve been able to hover without moving them.
"Any Idea Crew?" Georgia asks aloud
"HEY"
"HEY?"
Georgia sighed, raking a hand through her windswept hair. "Fantastic. We're sitting in the middle of the ocean with nothin' but fish to shoot at."
"Hey?"
Georgia froze mid-air, wings faltering slightly as the realization hit. "Wait, you're tellin' me I hauled tail all the way here... ahead of schedule?"
"Hey."
"What do you mean by a couple of weeks!" Georgia shouts
A sharp crackle of static echoed through her comms, but the voice that followed wasn't one of her crew.
"HEY! You gonna answer me or just keep shoutin' at the sky?"
Georgia blinked, realizing the voice wasn't coming through her systems but from outside. She twisted mid-air, scanning the vast blue expanse below.
Hovering just a few hundred feet beneath her was a slender Sakura Empire scout—an Ayanami-css destroyer by the looks of it—waving frantically from her rigging. Her pale silver hair danced in the sea breeze, dual torpedo racks gleaming under the sun. She cupped her hands around her mouth and shouted again.
"I've been calling you for like, five minutes! You deaf or somethin'?!"
Georgia sighed, lowering herself through the air with a few beats of her wings, coming to hover just above the Sakura destroyer.
"Didn't realize I had company," Georgia muttered, folding her arms. "What are you doing out here? Thought this ocean was supposed to be empty."
The Ayanami-css girl squinted up at her, clearly unimpressed. "Scouting, obviously. Not like we expected to find some oversized battleship with wings flying around, though!" She crossed her arms, frowning. "Who even are you?"
Georgia smirked, flexing one of her massive steel wings for emphasis. "USS Georgia, at your service—or, well, about to be someone's nightmare. But you're not the fleet I was looking for." She gestured to the open sea. "Where's the rest of your Sakura buddies?
"HEY!" A manu shouts frantically at Georgia
"Mother FUCK! WAKE!" Georgia shouts realizing she needed to high tail it to wake isnd.
The urgency in the voice sent a bolt of adrenaline through her. Georgia's eyes widened as the realization smmed into her like a broadside. Wake Isnd! She'd been wasting precious time hovering here, arguing with a scout, when real action was already unfolding.
"Mother FUCK! WAKE ISLAND!" she bellowed, wings fring wide. Without another word, she surged upward, a sonic boom trailing behind her as her wave motion engine roared to life.
The Sakura destroyer was nearly thrown into the water by the force of the takeoff, spinning wildly in Georgia's wake. "HEY! I wasn't done talking—!" she shouted into the void, but Georgia was already a speck in the sky.
Georgia's mind raced as she broke through the clouds, pushing her wave motion engine to its limits. The Pacific stretched endlessly below, but she locked onto the coordinates beamed through her comms. Smoke plumes were already visible on the horizon, curling up from the besieged Wake Isnd.
"Hang tight, boys," she muttered, clenching her fists. "Georgia is on her way!"
=========================
Georgia tore through the clouds, her bck steel wings glinting under the harsh Pacific sun. The hum of her wave motion engine filled the air as she zeroed in on Wake Isnd. Smoke billowed from the battered shore, Yet the isnd didnt fire back? It was just taking the shots as the Sakura ship girls sailed right on up. She expected chaos—what she didn't expect was the sight unfolding right below her.
A Sakura Empire shipgirl—a destroyer, judging by the rigging—was sprinting across the shallows, desperately weaving between the nding craft. An then the defenders on Wake opened fire and they weren't pulling any punches. A coastal artillery battery locked onto her, and before Hayate could even react—
BOOM!
The shell nded dead-on.
The Japanese shipgirl was sent flying, arms filing as a massive plume of water and sand erupted beneath her. Her rigging shattered under the impact, debris spiraling into the air. Georgia winced as the Sakura destroyer hit the surf like a stone skipping across a pond, finally skidding to a stop in the shallow waters. Smoke curled from the unconscious girl and her hull no doubt was completely compromised. Even her torpedo racks twisted at impossible angles.
Georgia hovered overhead, blinking. "Damn those marines are crazy… Wait is she sinking?" Georgia mutters in surprise.
Georgia hovered high above Wake Isnd, watching the chaos unfold below. The Sakura Empire girls were definitely not happy that Hayate was currently taking on water from The marine's opening fire…
The Sakura empire opened up in pure panic, assault was relentless, waves of shipgirls pushing hard against the battered American defenses. 3 Light Cruiser girls and 6 Destroyers girls…
Georgia's gaze shifted to the defenders, who were holding firm despite being outnumbered. Their coastal artillery had clearly done damage, but the Sakura shipgirls were relentless. The American forces were tough, but they wouldn't be able to hold out much longer if reinforcements didn't arrive soon.
Suddenly there was a cry over the radio… Wake had sent out its distress signal.
Georgia clenched her fists, her wings flexing in readiness. "Alright, enough standing around," she muttered. "Time to put an end to this."
With a single powerful beat of her wings, Georgia surged downward, her form becoming a blur as she rocketed toward the isnd. The sound of her wave motion engine roared in her ears, drowning out everything else. She could feel the wind rushing past her as the earth drew closer, the isnd's battered defenses becoming more defined with every passing second.
In the distance, she could see the Sakura fleet regrouping, the remaining shipgirls taking defensive positions around their fallen comrades. Georgia could feel their desperation, and it only fueled her determination. The time for negotiation had passed. Now, it was time for action.
As Georgia reached the isnd's edge, her cannons powered up, glowing a bright, eerie blue. With a sharp exhale, she unleashed a devastating barrage, targeting the clustered Sakura shipgirls with pinpoint accuracy. The first wave of fire exploded across the battlefield, sending shockwaves through the air as the incoming shells tore into the Sakura cruisers and destroyers. The water around them erupted into steam and spray, the bst radiating outward like a shockwave.
As the abrupt sun shower ended georgia looked at the girls who were all now huddled down and cowering in fear.
The Sakura fleet, once so brash and aggressive, had faltered. What was once a line of battle-hardened shipgirls was now a group huddled together, their expressions a mix of fear and disbelief. The light cruisers—Yūbari, Tenryū, Tatsuta—and the destroyers, now battered and scattered, cowered beneath the weight of Georgia's firepower. Their rigging was damaged, some of them visibly smoking, others listing slightly as though they were unsure if they could stay afloat.
Georgia's eyes swept over them, her expression hardening. They had expected to overwhelm the defenders of Wake Isnd, but now they had won the worlds shittiest lottery.
She hovered for a moment, her gaze unwavering. It wasn't about the kill—it was about the message. These shipgirls had been sent here to conquer, to defeat, and to cim victory. But Georgia wasn't about to let that happen. Not while she was still standing.
"Didn't think you'd fold so easily," Georgia muttered under her breath, her voice cutting through the eerie silence like a bde. She adjusted her stance, her cannons slowly lowering as she allowed herself to hover just a little higher. She could almost hear the nervous whispers in the distance, the fear from the shipgirls spreading like a wildfire.
"So what will it be Retreat? Or DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR!" Georgia roars in challenge. As her feet step down on the water standing inbetween the Sakura invasion force and the Isnd.
"We… we didn't come here to die," she muttered, her hand nervously gripping her rigging. "We were only following orders."
Georgia's eyes narrowed, her expression hardening. "Orders, huh? Well, I didn't come here to let you break the isnd or sughter its defenders, either. But you're standing at a crossroads, sweetheart. You've got two choices: You turn tail and leave, or I make you regret staying."
Georgia looked at the cluster of heavily injured ship girls as the a light cruiser in the back struggled to hold back a destroyer… Kisaragi? An then she broke the hold.
"BANSAI!"
As the word Banzai rang out, Kisaragi charged alone, her body battered and her rigging nearly destroyed, threw herself into the charge with a fiery determination. Despite her injuries, she propelled herself toward Georgia, her legs churning through the water as she screamed the war cry again. "Banzai!"
The air seemed to thrum with the force of her resolve as she closed the distance, her face a scowling in fury. There was no hesitation—Kisaragi was willing to throw everything she had left at the enormous battleship before her. The st, desperate assault.
Georgia watched, unfazed, her expression cold and focused. The moment Kisaragi reached her, the Sakura destroyer lunged with what little strength she had left, her rigging filing wildly as she aimed to strike.
But Georgia, with a motion that was almost too fast to see, extended one hand and caught Kisaragi by the neck, lifting her effortlessly off the ground. The force of the move was enough to send shockwaves through the air, the sound of metal creaking under the pressure as Kisaragi struggled against Georgia's iron grip.
"You're brave, I'll give you that," Georgia said, her voice low and dangerous as she held the small shipgirl in mid-air, Kisaragi's feet kicking weakly in the water beneath her. "But charging a battleship like that? Stupid."
"I was initially going to let you all retreat… But now, you are all prisoners of war." Georgia announces as the girls all flinch at the dishonor of being captured.
