Chapter 255: Fusion of the Dragon God
The sight of the God of Wrath being sin in a single blow left the gathered gods deeply shaken.
They had known Qin Xiao was powerful, but they never imagined he could reach such a level! To instantly kill a first-level god—neither the Goddess of Life nor the God of Destruction, both at the level of God Kings, could achieve such a feat.
“My lord…”
The remaining six Gods of Sin turned their gazes toward the God of Destruction.
The God of Destruction’s expression shifted, his voice cold, “He’s even stronger than before… or perhaps, this was his true strength all along…”
He felt deceived, for Qin Xiao’s current power far surpassed what he had dispyed in their previous encounters.
“Leaving already?”
At that moment, Qin Xiao’s voice broke the silence, drawing the gods’ attention.
They watched as he casually reached out and grabbed the God of Wrath’s godly position, then stored it away with a wave of his hand.
Not only had he killed the God of Wrath, but he also cimed his godly position—a brazen insult and an unforgivable act!
The six remaining Gods of Sin were filled with fury.
If looks could kill, Qin Xiao would have died a thousand times over by now.
“All gods, attack together!”
The God of Destruction issued a firm command, turning to the Goddess of Life. “Little Green, our safety is in your hands.”
The Goddess of Life hesitated, caught off guard.
It had been a long time since he’d addressed her by that nickname.
Likewise, she couldn’t remember the st time she had called him “Little Purple.”
“I’ll support you with everything I have,” she nodded, her gentle voice resolute.
The God of Destruction withdrew his gaze, his eyes filled with a fierce killing intent as he turned back to Qin Xiao. “Silent Annihition Thunder!”
He thrust his hands forward, unleashing countless streaks of purple-bck divine lightning that surged toward Qin Xiao from all directions.
The lightning moved at blinding speed, reaching Qin Xiao in an instant.
Seeing their leader’s attack, the six Gods of Sin unleashed their strongest powers as well.
For a moment, divine energy surged like a tidal wave, creating rge patches of colpsing space.
On Douluo Star below, countless people looked up in horror at the sky, where a massive, dark void had appeared—a terrifying abyss that seemed capable of swallowing everything.
Many children pointed at the void, crying, “The sky is broken!”
…
The battlefield of the divine csh stretched for miles upon miles.
Under the God of Destruction’s command, the six Gods of Sin engaged in fierce combat with Qin Xiao.
Only the Goddess of Life stood back, observing every change in the battle.
Boom!
With a thunderous explosion, a bolt of purple lightning shot out from the depths of the dark void.
The Goddess of Life saw the God of Sloth caught within it, his face twisted in pain.
A massive wound y across his chest, nearly splitting it open.
Seeing this, the Goddess of Life’s expression shifted to one of compassion. She csped her hands at her chest and gently waved toward the God of Sloth. “I grant you my blessing!”
At her soft words, a green light glowed from her hands, descending upon the God of Sloth.
Under this light, the wound on his chest healed at an astonishing rate.
In just a single breath, he was fully restored.
“Thank you, Your Majesty!”The God of Sloth bowed gratefully to the Goddess of Life.
The Goddess of Life gave a slight nod. “Be cautious. Qin Xiao is immensely powerful.”
The God of Sloth replied with a serious, “Understood,” and rejoined the battle.
Unbeknownst to him, after he left, the Goddess of Life wavered slightly, her complexion paling.
“To think Qin Xiao’s attacks are so difficult to heal… Just one blessing for the God of Sloth consumed twenty percent of my divine power.”
The realization sent a chill through her.
Under normal circumstances, healing the God of Sloth’s wounds would require only one-tenth of her power.
But the actual cost had been twice what she had anticipated.
“If this keeps up, I may not be able to st much longer. Little Purple and the others must finish this quickly.”
Worry filled her gaze as she watched the battle unfold.
Boom!
At that moment, another purple lightning bolt erupted from the dark void, this time hurling out the God of Pride.
The Goddess of Life noticed that the God of Pride was in a terrible state as well.
His divine armor was shattered, his left leg missing, and his right arm hung limply, swaying with his weakened stance.
Clearly, his injuries were severe.
Seeing this, the Goddess of Life didn’t hesitate. She repeated her healing method, csping her hands at her chest and sending a life-filled green light toward the God of Pride.
Under this glow, his wounds healed visibly, and even his missing leg began to regenerate.
But as his injuries healed, the Goddess of Life grew noticeably paler. By the time the God of Pride was fully restored, her face was drained of color.
Thirty percent!
This time, she had used up thirty percent of her divine power just to heal the God of Pride.
Yet what troubled her was not only the present but the looming future.
“If I need to heal one or two more, I may be unable to continue.”
She grew increasingly anxious, knowing that if her divine power was depleted, it would mean the downfall of the gods.
“Your Majesty, if I am injured again, please don’t heal me. Save your power to assist our lord.”
After his recovery, the God of Pride left these words with a solemn nod and rejoined the battle.
In his gaze, the Goddess of Life saw a determination to sacrifice himself if needed.
He had clearly sensed the gravity of the situation and was ready to give his life.
“How can I just stand by and watch you all die in front of me?”
The Goddess of Life clenched her fists in silent determination.
To abandon them would be unbearable for her.
But as the battle dragged on, even she knew that her own divine power was not limitless. If things continued, she would eventually be helpless.
“No, I can’t let this fight continue. It must end swiftly.”
After a moment of hesitation, her gaze hardened with resolve.
Clearly, a pn was forming in her mind.
“The Gods of Good and Evil may not have agreed with Destruction’s pn before, but at this point, they can’t just stand by, can they?”
Indeed.
The Goddess of Life intended to involve the Gods of Good and Evil.
After all, besides herself and Destruction, she couldn’t think of anyone else who could stand against Qin Xiao.
She believed that, no matter how strong Qin Xiao was, he couldn’t possibly defeat four God Kings.
“I’ll send out a message right away…”
With a flick of her finger, a green light shot into the void.
…
In the Divine Realm
“Why do I feel so unsettled?”
“This shouldn’t be happening to me.”The God of Good frowned, an unusual expression on his face.
“You’re probably just overthinking it. Here, let me help you rex.”
The God of Evil approached, pcing his hands gently on the God of Good’s face and pressing his thumbs into his temples.
The God of Good closed his eyes slightly and murmured, “I’m still worried Destruction may act recklessly…”
“You see? You’re worrying too much.” The God of Evil shook his head. “Even if you doubt Destruction, surely you trust the Goddess of Life? If he were to lose control, she’d stop him.”
As he spoke, his expression shifted.
A streak of green light wriggled out from the void like an earthworm and appeared in the temple.
The God of Evil immediately stopped what he was doing.
The God of Good sensed the change, slowly opened his eyes, and his face grew tense. “Is that…”
“It’s a message from the Goddess of Life,” the God of Evil replied quietly.
“Maybe you were right,” the God of Good sighed. “I just hope they haven’t made a grave mistake.”
Exhaling deeply, the God of Evil touched the green light with his hand.
The voice of the Goddess of Life echoed through the temple:
“Good, Evil, Destruction, and I, along with the Seven Gods of Sin, have encountered a formidable enemy outside Douluo Star. We urgently request reinforcements…”
When her voice faded, silence lingered in the temple.
Both the God of Evil and the normally gentle God of Good wore dark expressions.
“This is outrageous. They defied the rules of the Divine Realm by descending and attacking Qin Xiao without permission.”
The God of Good, ever calm and considerate, was visibly disturbed.
“What’s more arming is Qin Xiao’s power. Even with the Goddess of Life’s support, Destruction and the Seven Gods of Sin couldn’t defeat him?”
“While the Goddess of Life isn’t specialized in combat, her assistance should have made Destruction and the Seven Gods of Sin as strong as two God Kings combined, at least,” the God of Evil remarked, recognizing the gravity of the situation.
“The stronger Qin Xiao is, the less we should rely on force to deal with him,” the God of Good sighed. “If a person of his power could join the Divine Realm, it would benefit us all.”
The God of Evil paused in thought before sighing, “At this point, we can only move forward cautiously. Let’s hope we haven’t reached an irreparable conflict; perhaps there’s still a chance to resolve this.”
But in the next moment, both the God of Good and the God of Evil sensed something amiss and turned their attention toward a specific location, their expressions filled with shock.
“This is bad—the seal on the Dragon God’s remnant soul has been compromised.”
“It must be part of the Dragon God’s faction that seized this opportunity to infiltrate the Divine Realm.”
“Whoever it is, we must stop the Dragon God’s soul from escaping. Compared to Qin Xiao, the Dragon God poses a far greater threat.”
The two gods instantly vanished from the temple.
Moments ter, they reappeared miles away, standing before a massive array.
Their faces darkened as they took in the sight.
The once-imposing array that held the Dragon God’s soul had been damaged, the remnants of the Dragon God nowhere to be found.
“We’re too te,” the God of Evil muttered through gritted teeth.
A deep worry clouded the God of Good’s eyes. “One disaster after another. The Divine Realm’s camity has truly arrived…”
She foresaw turbulent times ahead for the Divine Realm.
“Come, we must stop the conflict between Qin Xiao and the God of Destruction. If possible, even at some cost, we must convince Qin Xiao to help us eliminate the Dragon God.”
“Yes, there’s no time to waste. Let’s go.”
But as they prepared to leave, a voice behind them called out, halting them.
“Heh, Good, Evil… we’ve known each other for years. What’s the rush to leave?”
Their bodies stiffened at the sound, and they slowly turned around.
In their line of sight was a tall woman in a flowing white gown, her face beautiful beyond words, approaching them with a smile.
It was a gentle smile, the kind one might give to an old friend after a long absence.
Yet their hearts sank.
This woman was no friend; she was an enemy.
The God of Good forced herself to remain calm, her voice steady as she spoke, “Dragon God… it’s been many years. I never expected us to meet again like this.”
“Indeed,” Gu Yue Na (Dragon God) replied, her own emotions complicated.
Upon awakening, she had envisioned countless pns, each requiring time and careful effort to recim her pce in the Divine Realm.
But Qin Xiao’s sudden appearance had shattered her schemes.
With his help, she had reached the Divine Realm with ease, recimed her soul, and restored much of her power.
It had all been so effortless.
As expected…
Nothing surpasses true strength. In the face of overwhelming power, all tricks and schemes are nothing but fleeting shadows.
“Dragon God, I advise you not to grow too arrogant,” the God of Evil said coldly. “If we could seal you once, we can seal you again. And you’re nowhere near your peak strength now.”
Gu Yue Na ughed dismissively. “Oh, you’re not wrong…”
She cast a disdainful gnce at the God of Evil. “But when you say that, have you considered that the Divine Realm isn’t what it once was? Out of the five God Kings, how many can you even gather?”
“Have you forgotten who defeated you st time? The taste of the Asura God’s sword couldn’t have been pleasant!” the God of Evil shot back, unwilling to yield.
He knew that the Asura God no longer existed.
But mentioning it was the only way to make the Dragon God hesitate and retreat.
He had no time to waste—if they deyed any longer, Qin Xiao and the God of Destruction might reach a life-or-death conclusion.
He had to act quickly.
“The Asura God’s sword…”
“You mean this?”
Gu Yue Na extended her delicate hand, and a red glow appeared within her grasp.
When the light faded, a massive, blood-red sword with an intimidating design emerged, wrapped in tangible white murderous energy.
The God of Evil’s pupils contracted sharply. “That’s… the Asura God’s sword!”
